I lived in Alaska for about 5 years and attended Friends church in Fairbanks. The thing I missed about faith when I was attending friends was the familyness of faith. Faith does a good job of presenting the Gospel, and pointing to Jesus. I desire a church that continuously points its people to Jesus. Faith is lacking in some areas, like its middle school program is pretty much non-existent. However it does have a great elementary program, and it has good small group health, it is trying to get is middle school program going... but volunteers are needed. It does partner with Young Life for high school, but is also working on getting some supplemental programs in the church to help those kids in young Life that happen to attend faith.

The sermon's are usually focused on a specific topic or Biblical book and laid out in a series over the course of a few months to provide a more in depth look at scripture. The church building itself is new with construction completed in late 2011. The congregation is large for the area with approximately 100 people attending services weekly. The Children's Program is very well established and always accepting new attendees between the ages of kindergarten (I think) through 6th grade. There are also ministries available for men, women, and high school students (through community programs). The congregation is currently in the process of providing a ministry to middle school age students.

They have people that travel in to Wilbur from many of the neighboring little towns that are anywhere from 5-50 miles aways. This small community church in Davenport, WA, has solid Bible teaching, lots of programs for…read morechildren such as AWANA and a good youth group for teens and pre-teens. On Sunday we have adult Sunday School as well as the kids' Sunday School. We have women's and men's retreats and fellowship. I love Pastor Steve McLachlan's sermons; they are thought provoking and convicting without being condemning. Best church I've ever attended and I've been a Christian for over 30 years.
