Do not buy any animals from this woman. She is a monster. She is a puppy/kitten broker, which means that she poses as a real breeder by bringing the animals to her home to be sold, but they are sourced from puppy mills. She has a million excuses why the parent dogs are not available to be seen, and they all seem legitimate at the time. My family bought a Cavalier puppy from her in 2017. We just had to have him euthanized yesterday because his health problems were causing him so much pain. He wasn't even 5 years old. She is a master of the "bait and switch". The puppies were advertised as coming with a pedigree and be registered with the CKC. However, when we picked up the dog she said that it's always such a hassle to register them and most people didn't care about having them registered and she took $200 off the price of the dog. The purchase price was $2000. Lorelei "guaranteed" that his parents had been cleared for the condition that our dog had (syringomyelia). It's when the dog's skull is too small for his brain and the brain stem gets squished and causes multiple systemic problems and pain. It's genetic and anyone who actually cared about dogs would never breed a dog with the condition. It usually shows up within their first year, so it's not like it takes forever to develop. NO REPUTABLE BREEDER WOULD BREED A DOG WITH THIS CONDITION. It's a known problem for this breed and efforts have been made to eliminate it in the Cavalier gene pool. Well, our dog had systemic health problems and was pretty much in pain his entire life. We got a lot of veterinary care for him- medication, ultrasounds, an mri but nothing really helped that much. He was also having kidney and heart problems. Finally, the pressure of the cerebral fluid in his brain rose and he suddenly had trouble breathing. By the time we got him to the vet there wasn't really anything they could do. Don't buy your pet from Lorelei, whatever you choose- puppy or kitten. She is helping to perpetuate animal mills which causes an immense amount of animal suffering. read more

We had a really great experience with Lorelei Beal from Country Care Doodles. After researching and calling over half a dozen breeders for a Cavpoo breed, we were referred to Lorelei from another breeder. We contacted her about her litter and she immediately called us back. We spoke about what we were looking for, the breed as well as the parents of the puppies. She told us that we would not find a better mannered dog (was she ever right). We did purchase the puppy at the beginning of COVID-19 during the lock down period, so we were not able to visit the puppy. This led to some uneasy feelings as the down payment for this dog is a significant amount of money, and we obviously had not met Lorelei in person at this point. She did, however, send us photos of 'Benny' quite frequently. She also provided us with progress with him from time to time. This definitely made us feel better about the process. The pickup day went very well, our puppy was bathed, had his 1st vaccine and his revolution (anti-flee medicine) applied. We received a bag of food as well as a toy (which he still plays with). Benny is 6 months old now and adjusting well with our family. We are so in love with him! We would most definitely recommend Lorelei as a breeder! This business is run by Lorelei Beal. I purchased a 6mo F1b golden doodle from her in Oct/2019. I have been very disappointed with the communication and care of my puppy; she very much feels like a rescue dog. I suspect this is a puppy mill and avoid at all costs. I realistically asked about my potential pup's strengths and weaknesses were so I could give her the best chance of success integrating into her new home. My questions were brushed aside and Ms. Beal had never heard of resource guarding (which is shocking if you have multiple dogs). My dog came to me traumatized, unsocialized, and absolutely terrified of humans. It was obvious she hadn't met many men before and cowered to the point where I wondered if she had been hurt by them. Everything was new to her - cars, umbrellas etc. She was neither crate trained nor house trained at 6 months. She didn't recognize her name or know any commands. Luckily she has come a long long way with patience and proper training over the past 3 months. I have tried to contact Lorelei Beal 8 times over the past 3 months to get more information - phone callS, voicemails, emails and even emailed through the website without any response. It seems once she has your money she wants nothing more to do with you or the pup. This is not the actions or response of a reputable breeder. I'm so upset by how this interaction went down. I am so sorry that you had a bad experience with Lorelei. I did as well and I totally understand. I purchased a Ragdoll cat from Lions Royale, her cattery this past summer (2019) after my 14 year old Ragdoll passed away. I found her cattery on Youtube and watched videos posted 2014. The kittens seemed very gentle from the videos. I contacted her and arranged to buy a kitten. I read on her website that every cat comes with TICA paperwork for registration. I really like to have the pedigrees of my animals so I am able to follow up on any health concerns and also get a family member after mine passes away. Plus I paid $1,000 Canadian dollars for him and wanted to register him. I live in North Carolina and drove to Canada to get my kitten. Upon arriving she met me and handed me my kitten which was not clean and smelled of animal poop. She then informed me that she was not going to give me the paperwork for my cat as this is how she ensures people don't breed them without paying her extra. I had no plans for this and want mine for a therapy cat. I told her this but she was not moved. I asked if I could see the paperwork for the mother and father and she said she did not know where it was and still did not have the pedigree on one of the parents from that breeder. She also informed me that she did not register the litter. This is bad practice and against the ethics guidelines of all associations. She is a member of the Cat Fanciers Association and tracking lines and registration is part of being a responsible breeder. She claimed she did not have time to register. At any rate, I asked her to send me the info on the parents at least. I met the parents of my kitten and they were lovely but scared to death when she showed them to me outside. They seemed so scared to be outside on her porch as she was holding them. She asked that I have my kitten fixed in order to get the form to register him and I sent her the vet proof in hopes she may have found the paperwork or registered and would respond to me. I emailed her numerous times with pictures updating her on my cat and even offered to help her register but I got no response. I feel that she started out good but is overwhelmed. I hope that she sees this post and does things right. I breed and show Brittanys and know the ethics of breeding. I am glad your dog is doing well. My son and I also felt we were rescuing too but I do love my cat. We got him early enough for me to socialize him and he is doing well. read more
