In fact, the thought has never even crossed my mind to shop at a vacuum store. My Dyson DC-41 had a part broken & Dyson support referred me to A Cleaner Place for warranty service. I noticed right away that this wasn't just a shop for repairing vacuums. They provide all sorts of home cleaning products and repair services. The store is full of vacuums, cleaning products and some other miscellaneous items. There was only one person working in the shop. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and explained the whole repair process in detail. He also explained that they could do some extra cleaning and preventative maintenance to my Dyson if I was willing to pay a little extra. Normally, I wouldn't be interested in something like that, but when you drop $300+ on a vacuum cleaner, that sucker better last for a decade so I agreed. Apparently they had like 30+ vacuums in front of mine so I was told the repairs could take up to two weeks. They would contact me as soon as it's completed. It ended up taking about a week & a half which was not the end of the world. I was glad I paid a little extra for the cleaning & maintenance. The vacuum was spotless when I got it back & has been running flawless since. It ended up only costing me about $30. While I was there, the gentleman answered all my random questions and was not pushy whatsoever. One really cool thing is that they were willing to do price matching on any vacuum so if you're in the market, it's worth checking out. The only thing that could be improved is to reduce the length of time it takes for repairs.

I had always used A1 Vacuum on May (wonderful family owned company btw). I went ahead and used A cleaner place and was pleased with the service until my front wheel roller came off only (2) two days after i had picked up from service. When I call the owner told me he'd be happy to replace the axel at my expense and wave the labor. I had never had any wheel issues prior to service. I took my Kirby back to A1 Vacuum where they replaced a small spring in (5) five minutes and charged me much less than A Cleaner place and come to find out my axel did not need replaced. After I had spend $165 a little customer service goes a long way. Therefore, I would not recommend this business for that very reason as customer service is not in this owner's vocabulary.
