Country kitchen is that hole in the wall that becomes a staple for breakfast when you don't cook. The ambiance and customer service is sooooo good.You know there is so much love when the waiter is so knowledgeable and give little facts and details about the menu/food. I got the blueberry pancakes combo. And everything was really really good . The pancakes were buttery and had a good amount of blueberry. Also another thing that stood out was the breakfast potatoes. My boyfriend got them done extra crispy and they were so good we ordered another side of them. Definitely coming back

We have been here a few times for breakfast and every time we come in the service is great. The waitress is nice and attentive to make sure you have what you need. The ambience of the restaurant makes you feel like you are at home eating some good food. My favorite dish here is the country fried steak and eggs. The steak is perfectly breaded and the sausage gravy they put on top has a really good taste and not too salty. I usually get my eggs scrambled and they are always fluffy, I would love to know their secret. The house potatoes that I steal from my boyfriend's plate are pretty good, too. I like the crispy ones so maybe next time, I will ask for well done. Overall, great breakfast spot but it can get a bit busy, but definitely worth the wait. Service is great and quick which is a plus when you are hungry. We will definitely be back.

Located off East Spring St in Long Beach. Parking is small it's shared with the other businesses in this small little strip area. The place is not too big had a good amount of tables to dine in. They are only opened till 2pm so they serve only breakfast and lunch. The staff were friendly. I got the 2 eggs with 4 bacon strips and the homemade biscuits and gravy. The service was good and pretty quick. Overall had a good experience here the food can be a bit pricey for breakfast but I feel they gave enough to suffice the price. I'll have to come here to try the lunch items next time.

I've been coming here for over a year fairly consistently. It's only gotten better and better. Today, for the first time, I tried their famous granola pancake. It's full of bananas, blueberries and granola. I don't know how but they managed to keep the granola crunchy which adds to the enjoyment of the dish. As I have heard people say, try the pancake without the syrup first. It really doesn't need any. I always enjoy playful banter with Yusi. She's an excellent server and I recently learned that she is the owner. This must be the reason why it's gotten better and better. I also want to shout out to Owen. He was the busser. Speaking of bussers, he was busting his rear during a very busy rush. He kept a clear head and kept focused on the tasks at hand. Great spot, busy for a reason. Parking can be tricky.

Wifey wanted to come here while we were in the area. Nice small restaurant in a small strip mall. We ordered the Farmers sandwich and the Piggy omelette. The food was delicious and cooked fresh. My order came with a biscuit and gravy- the gravy was bland and the biscuit was too hard. Decent and quiet place with not too much noise. Friendly and efficient service too. Come on in folks.

Great service and comfort food for breakfast, brunch, or lunch only. In addition to omelettes and toast, they have sandwiches such as tuna melt, salads, burgers, and burritos. Vegetarian options include veggie burger and veggie omelette. Additional options include egg whites, grilled cheese, and kids meals. Sometimes you just want a straightforward meal, and Country Kitchen fit the bill. The place itself had a cozy, no-frills feel, and our waitress was quick, friendly, and efficient. We received our food in good time, which is always a plus. As for the meal, it was okay--not bad, but nothing that stood out either. It filled the spot, but it wasn't the kind of food that makes you rave or crave a repeat visit. Be careful here. They don't take food safety seriously - I was served a pink hamburger. The server said the cook must have rushed it since he was on the way out from his shift. Super gross. Maybe breakfast is safer here but I'd at least avoid the burger.

Country Kitchen is located on Cherry and Spring in Long Beach, about a mile away from the Long Beach Airport. It serves diner classics like pancakes, chicken fried steaks, omelets, and the like. I came on a Sunday morning and there was no wait to get in at 11am. The food was prepared nicely and the country fried steak and home fries were seasoned well. They offer biscuits and gravy as an option for your bread with any of their breakfasts and it was nice; however, the gravy was bland. I went with a standard pancake combo with scrambled eggs and sausage and it was exactly what I wanted - no more or no less. They do have the option for a "granola pancake", which offers some crispy textures in your pancakes, but that's not what I was craving. Overall, I left happy and I got what I was hoping for. I felt that Country Kitchen was a solid place for a diner meal with no frills.

On this day, I wanted to treat myself to a great breakfast and I googled the best breakfasts in Long Beach and the Country Kitchen popped up. I was pleasantly served on how good their food was. I wish we ate here sooner. The menu is simple but the food is so so good! We have been here twice in the last two days and both times everything was cooked perfectly!!! Stumbled on this place while looking for something else. The reviews were the incentive to come here and for good reason. The food was excellent and brought out fast. The staff was very friendly and everything looked clean. It also had a pleasant atmosphere. My French toast was light and perfectly cooked, the eggs were cooked just right as well and the sausage patty was quite tasty, albeit a bit small. My wife had the breakfast burrito with sausage and potatoes were included, inside or out. Very good size and tasted yummy. Also, the coffee was excellent. Not burned tasting or watery but full flavored and rich and they kept it refilled whenever necessary or wanted. We will definitely be back. read more

I came to this restaurant when my car was getting tinted at the BMW dealership. Honestly, I'm really happy I found and choose this place. The food is good! I got the 2 eggs and bacon with a buttermilk biscuit on the side with red jam. First off, besides the food being bomb the service was great! The ladies were nice and the young gentleman. The strawberry jam had some strawberries in them so you know this jam isn't no cheap store bought and the biscuit was homemade too. Also, the fries (hash browns) were crispy! The ambiance inside was quiet, bit I came at 12 so I'm pretty sure people started to leave. I highly recommend this place! Thank you, I'll be back again! read more

Sadly I've gotten used to poor service in most restaurants in the post-covid era. This place gives me hope that not all is lost! We were promptly seated by our waitress (sorry I didn't make note of her name) who also gave us her recommendations since she knew it was our first visit. She was spot on with the granola banana blueberry pancakes! Deelish! Take a bite without the syrup first before pouring it all over the pancake. It's so good it does not need it! More than anything, the staff was as courteous, helpful (constantly coming by with hot coffee) and hospitable as you would hope in a family style restaurant. We will definitely be back. We were originally going to another breakfast spot close by (rhymes with stack stair signer). Really glad we didnt because this place is better. Walked in and was seated right away with no wait. We ordered and split the hobo omelette with biscuits and gravy and the granola pancakes. Food came out quickly and service was fantastic. Portions were huge and had leftovers. This appears to be a family run business and they are very attentive to their customers. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. We were asked what drinks we would like and we asked for coffees which were brought promptly. The server kept out coffee's full the whole time we were seated. I ordered the corned beef hash with sourdough toast and the home fries. The wife ordered the veggie omelet with a side of bacon with biscuit/gravy and fruit. The meal was served hot and was very tasty. The fruit was very good also. They have home made salsa that added flavor but not much heat. I really like this place and will be back. read more

This was the best breakfast diner I've ever been to. I got the veggie omelet with home fries and a biscuit with gravy. The veggies were all fresh, home fries were perfectly done, and the biscuits with gravy was delicious. I highly recommend this place since the food was so good! However I think it's notable that I went during the week so there was no issue getting a table quickly. The place is rather small (something like 12 tables) so I could see it being a lot harder to get a table in a timely manner on the weekends. read more

Country Kitchen will inevitably/eventually become a place where you have to wait a minimum of half an hour to an hour to get a table. It's that good. The food, for how simple it sounded, was incredibly delicious. I had the breakfast burrito with bacon and hash browns inside, and every bite was warm fluffy, and full of flavor. The biscuits and gravy are made from scratch and smothered in gravy. The gravy is thick and not terribly heavy and good. The kielbasa with eggs packs a punch in flavor and the kielbasa provides a little bit of spice. The pancake was soft, moist, fluffy and warm. Everything you could ever want in a pancake. I will say the most satisfying aspect of this dine in experience was Tony (the owner) and his wife. Both were friendly, kind and funny. It brought the entire experience to a higher level. Tony talked to me for a moment and told me a little bit of everything he does to improve the flavors of these simple sounding dishes that elevates their flavors. When you go here, get a pancake. Don't think about it just do it. Don't take too long to check this place out if you're reading this review stop now and go. Do not debate, do not hesitate, and go before this place forms a line, and the wait time will become excruciatingly long, but totally worth it. read more

We immediately noticed how everyone that worked there was so friendly! This place has great classic breakfast choices, a cute bright interior, and plenty of parking. As soon as we walked in the place started to fill up with other customers, many whom the owners (?) Greeted by name or hugs! Great spot for breakfast or lunch right off the freeway! Go support this new breakfast joint :) P.S. I had the California spuds with biscuits and gravy which was a great serving size and DELICIOUS. read more

I ordered the egg white scrambled with veggies. The place is clean and nice. The server was nice too. The food is great! I he portion is generous. The potatoes were delicious. I like that they are easy on the salt. I put a little bit of salt on the eggs, which I prefer to eating salty food. I love their simple menu! I really enjoyed my breakfast here. As soon as my partner and I walked in to the restaurant, we were happily greeted by the owner who seated us right away. The food and the customer service have been on point both times we've came in. The Miracle pop-up at The Ordinarie is somehow even more decorated and extravagant than you'd expect from a seasonal pop-up. The line looks long outside, as there are no reservations, but it moves quickly since they hold everybody to a pretty strict 2-hour time limit. The drinks are good, the cups are cute, and everyone is festive. It's an all-around fun experience. I think because of this, you do pay a premium price tag for food and drinks that are just good or okay. I think it's something that is worth the visit if you've never been and you enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit. I think that outside of the pop-up, The Ordinarie is a fun spot to check out in Long Beach. It't not a pillar of the food scene if you're a tourist, but it is a good, late night spot if you work in the industry nearby. They have a great late-night menu with a killer smash burger.
