As I sit this last morning in the peaceful space I am sad I have vacate the property by 11. When Covid hit everyone renewed love foe the outdoors has made it difficult to find decedent, affordable cabins. In early February we looked frantically to find a place for spring break with little success so we moved our dates around and came across this beauty. We have stayed 3 nights and 4 days. We haven't seen any other people or heard them. The space is very clean and has all the necessary items, blankets, towels, dishes, etc. the hot tub was wonderful because it was a cooler wet weekend. We had to move the sofa and table to make it a bit roomer but that was easy enough. The grill on the deck is nice and there is a shed with dry wood to use in the provided fire pit. Everything is less than 30 minutes away. We booked a raft trip and enjoyed a few local breweries. We stayed in a cabin for 8, two family's, 4 adults, 3 kids and we were all comfortable. I am currently looking into a return date.

We travel in our camper van but occasionally like to treat ourselves to indoor accommodations. I found Country Road cabins while searching for other things to do in the area and we had a very pleasant stay! We stayed in the Love Shack Yurt, located deep in the woods down a gravel road (our van does not always like gravel roads but we had no problem navigating these). The yurt was private, spacious and clean, with a fully stocked kitchen. It had both an outdoor hot tub (but the cover took two people great effort to put back on), and a red, heart-shaped tub inside. Nice flat screen television and Sirius FM radio were nice touches. Just a couple of things preventing me from giving this a five-star review: no blow dryer (luckily I had one with me but if we were just going for a weekend getaway, I would not), the light switch in the bathroom was clear across the room from the door and the towels, although plentiful, were thin and scratchy. Overall, a very pleasant stay before returning to camping.

During our March 2025 family trip to New River Gorge National Park, we wanted a classic, cozy cabin close to the action, and Country Road Cabins delivered. We stayed in the Black Bear Cabin, and it was everything we hoped for. The cabin's location was ideal: less than 10 minutes from the New River Gorge Bridge, tucked away at the end of a private gravel road, and surrounded by over an acre of rolling mountain meadow (which was ideal for tossing a football with my son). The cabin itself boasts a well-stocked kitchen with modern appliances, a 50" smart TV for our movie nights, a stackable washer and dryer, a wrap-around porch for coffee while watching the fog lift, and even a hot tub to soak away the day's adventures. The cabin had three comfortably furnished bedrooms, featuring a luxurious king in the master with an en suite bath, plus a queen and twin beds in the other rooms, the cabin comfortably accommodated our family. We also enjoyed the rustic charm of the gas fireplace and the modern yet cozy furniture throughout. When we encountered one maintenance issue, the service staff was very responsive and resolved it quickly, keeping our vacation uninterrupted. The cabin's central location made it easy to explore other local attractions like Pie's & Pints, the Escape-A-Torium, the Bridge Walk, and plenty of nearby hikes. We left with lasting memories and a promise to return soon. Country Road Cabins will definitely be our go-to spot on our next visit to the area! read more

We stayed at the Love Shack Yurt on a snowy January weekend! We definitely enjoyed our time there . The drive up was a bit rough since it did snow but it was very scenic. If you are looking for a relaxed quiet place to spend a weekend would definitely recommend. Super close to the National Park and will definitely be back during warmer days. read more

I first came across Country Road Cabins looking for treehouse rentals. These appear very popular and are booked up most of the time, but I am so happy I took a look at their other properties, they have so many great options! CRC has cabin options ranging from 2 people up to 14 at least. We rented the Sugar Shack Yurt and it was everything we could ask for and more. It was absolutely spotless, which is not only a relief during Covid, but amazing considering it's a cabin in the woods haha It's truly a luxury experience, there is perfect climate control, a lovely fireplace unit, a nice mounted flat screen tv that you can angle around the sitting/kitchen area. An actually spacious and well appointed kitchen-- oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker, crockpot, even a little dishwasher! Nice dishes and utensils, and gas grill on the back deck. This is deluxe cabin life haha The hot tub was a great experience, private back deck, and also covered. One night we had quite the rain storm, but we were able to enjoy the heat of the hot tub and the fresh rain air, without actually being rained on. [Sure we were getting wet on purpose, but it's nice when your drinks aren't getting watered down haha] There is a nice king bed, and the bathroom is spacious too. New shower and a jacuzzi tub as well. We had a long drive to get there, but they are accommodating if you need to arrive after office hours. Super nice anytime I called with questions before and during our visit. All the cabins have their own little lot, you are surrounded by trees with some privacy from your neighbors. It's all the little touches and attention to detail that ties it all together. Couldn't recommend CRC enough to anyone looking to stay in the Fayetteville area. We came for the New River Gorge National Park and while we covered a lot of ground while we were there, I'll have to make a point to come back again. Writing this review is making me miss it again already haha read more

I only give a 5-star rating (no matter how great) if there's a bathtub and an EV charger. The hot tub and front porch 110 qualify! In addition, our cabin was very clean and full of charm including the fireplace. Private, quiet, and comfortable--we will be back! read more

We loved our stay in the treehouse! Christy was great at helping us set up activities. Try the horseback ride with Gary. It was GREAT going out to the falls! Great time here and hope to be back. We had a great time here. The cabin ( the love shack) was prepped and ready for us. We never had to deal with anyone and had no problem finding the cabin or the fun in the area. They have a book of restaurants and fun to flip through, if you need it. The yurt was clean and ideal for our trip. Keys were waiting, accommodations were clean and nice. Perfect secluded weekend for us. Ps. Pet friendly! Our dog loved hiking the area. Highly recommended read more

Great place for a relaxing weekend getaway- private, clean, and in a great location. Our cabin had a nice hot-tub on the deck which was an added bonus! We stayed in January, so the New River Gorge area was pretty quiet but we were still able to hike and enjoy the area. Cabin had all the modern amenities(heat, kitchen stuff, linens,TV) and a wood-burning fireplace! We will be back.... read more

We stayed here last week as a quick 2 night getaway with our kids. We all loved everything about it. The fireplace was perfect since it ended up being unseasonably cold while we were there. The hot tub was perfect. Cabins were very clean and had everything you needed. We can't wait to plan a trip back in the summer to enjoy more of the outdoors! read more

This trip was amazing and they had everything we needed. The beds were comfy, everything was clean. The hot tub was incredible. The kitchen had everything we needed and they had laundry. We had no issues and we cooked everything. Plenty of beds and towels. The only thing was the hot water in the showers weren't super hot but it wasn't cold at all the highest level of red (hot) was probably 90/93 degrees so not bad. Highly recommend it if you wanna get away every night because it is 20/30 mins from everything adventurous, they are deep in the woods and have so much privacy. Didn't see any people on our street or neighbors the whole time so if you want a community or to meet people where you stay then don't come here but it's relaxing and worth it. Do it! read more

Awesome lodging experience. Everything from working with Crysty on the phone beforehand to late night arrival and simplicity of finding your cabin, to the cabin's condition and layout, cleanliness, comfort and abundance of amenities (the hot tub on your own private deck!). Cabins are also spaced far enough apart to provide late night privacy without concern for disturbing neighbors. We had the Spencer cabin for a weekend. This will be our first choice for next time visiting the area! read more

We came here for our anniversary and had a great time relaxing in the very clean and well-supplied cabin! The TV was set to music when we got in and the hot tub was on and ready at 101 degrees. We stayed in the Hideaway, and while we didn't get to do a lot of the area attractions because of the weather, we had just as much fun spending time at the cabin. read more

I stayed at the cabins a few years back with a group of friends to explore the adventures nearby (Gauley River and New River Gorge). Pretty much anything you need is right nearby, yet the cabins are set in such private locations that you feel like you're miles away. Everything about the cabin feels like home (even better than home with the hot tub on the back porch)! The service here was very friendly and professional. If you're travelling to do some river rafting, or zipline canopy tours, or just see the fall colors in West Virginia, Country Road Cabins is the place to settle in and get cozy! read more

Stayed at CRC for the third year in a row over Memorial Day. Each year we bring more people because it is so great. The cabins are well stocked with everything you would need for a great time. The area is secluded and quiet and the hot tub on the deck is always used after all the activities in the area. The folks in the office are great and help with information about the area as well. We love it there and can't wait to go back again next year! read more

This is the second time that my boyfriend and I have stayed at Country Roads Cabin. The first time we staying in Marathon and the second time Valley View. Both cabins were similar except Valley View had a wood burning fireplace that we really enjoyed. Staying here is so peaceful and relaxing. I would highly recommend going for a weekend and getting away from it all. We will be back! read more

This cabin is the best cabin I ever stayed in anywhere. It was so clean you could actually eat off any floor. Everything looked brand new. They provided coffee/filters, some seasonings, paper towels, microwave, dish soap, dishwasher soap, non stick spray and more. They also provided bed linens and plenty of bath towels. There were ceiling fans in every room which were 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a loft (bunk beds), kitchen, dining room and living room with a gas fire place. They had central air, a front and rear porch with a gas grill and hot tub on the back porch. When we got there they brought us a new bed for the upstairs bedroom. We went there with another couple to white water raft and when we go back we will definitely stay here again. Amber Spears and Jennifer were very nice. The other review obviously is a prank. read more

Our stay over Labor Day weekend was wild and wonderful! We rented the "Almost Heaven" from Country Road Cabins, and it really was just that! With a cozy cabin in the woods for couple's getaways, with all the amenities, full kitchen, half bath, hot tub, and fireplace, complete with champagne and birthday cake for my birthday and our anniversary combo celebration, who could ask for more? CRC made our stay comfortable, pleasurable, relaxing, and affordable. Being close to nature, central to tourist destinations, shopping and dining, it is an ideal location for travelling to some of WV's best attractions. Country Road Cabins will be a vacation destination for us again! read more

This facility is beautiful. The cabin was perfect. We had three bedrooms so our group had plenty of room and plenty of privacy as well. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed ready for us. The hot tub was awesome. The staff is friendly and helpful. I left my headset behind and they mailed it to me - I didn't even have to ask them for it. I thought I had lost it and it showed up in the mail with a very nice note from the housekeeping staff. The area is also beautiful. The cabin is close to everything you need, but still feels like a world away when you drive into the woods to the cabin. Hope to visit again soon. read more

The fella' and I stayed at Country Road Cabins in July 2012 and we couldn't be any more impressed!!! The Marathon was secluded, spotless, and sensational. We stayed for 3 Nights and we are hooked. The cabins were clean and comfortable, well stocked with little necessities. We spent our days kayaking, climbing and scuba diving.... we kind of hoped for rain so we could just hang out in the cabin. We tend to err on the side of germaphobes--- so trust us when we say it was clean. We have serious plans to come back, winter time sounds just as nice! read more

My husband and I have stayed in The Appalachian Cabin on three different visits and have absolutely loved each visit. The cabin is always clean, well supplied, and so welcoming. The tv was set to music when we walked in the door and from that second on we could feel our stress levels disappear. We will be planning visits to Country Road Cabins for 2019 very soon. We can't say enough about how much we love staying there. read more

We needed a quick winter weekend getaway and I found CRC online and fell in love with the smaller cabins. We reserved Laurel. That weekend, we were blessed with a wonderful snowfall and also lucky to make it there safely. The cabin was adorable, warm, clean and cozy. The wood fireplace made it so nice and the king bed was very comfy. Would reccomend to anyone needing to recharge and reconnect. read more

We have stayed at country road cabins twice in 2018. Our first trip was in August of 2017 and we stayed at the Cherokee and in November we stayed at the pillow rock. The cabin was excellent. They were able to book me for one night on Saturday for Sunday check out. Most cabins have a two night minimum. I was very happy with the cleanliness of the cabin. The cabin was well maintained, heated, fire place. We staid at the North Pointe cabin. I will certainly book this one again in the future and I highly recommend it. read more

Went on a weekend lower Gauley rafting trip with friends. Stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 full bath cabin. Loved it! It was very clean, had a hot tub on the back deck, full kitchen.
