I think maybe just a review of common courtesy would be very beneficial to the business. for instance, when someone is paying, you don't just say while handing the machine over $100! Perhaps maybe a "it comes to $100 how would you like to pay?" or anything more pleasant than just shouting out the total to me. and maybe if there's time, she could say, have a nice day, or evening when the person is exiting. I find many businesses now are losing more customers because of this issue people want to be greeted when they come in they don't want to feel like they're bothering the person at the desk or feel unacknowledged walking in.

Over the years it has been difficult to find a groomer who had the personality and skillful to listen to what I wanted and really care about the boys. They often came home with cuts that were not very good and/or aspects of grooming just not done. Then, I found Sierra and her sister Cali at Pet Value in Simcoe, On. They listen and ask questions to clarify what you would like them to do. They are gentle, kind and professional. Should Sierra need further clarification or share a concern ... she'll call right away. At the end of the grooming I get a verbal report about any findings and how they boys handled the grooming. The boys come home happy, smelling great, all aspects of grooming and care are done, and the cuts are cute, and beautifully symmetrical. The sisters add a little bit of "funk" to their hair sometimes. Thank you Sierra and Cali. Thank you to the staff at Pet Value for having great groomers. I took my dog to Ruffins for a grooming, she was a mess since I hadn't had her groomed all winter…read more We moved from California and I was afraid that she would be too cold if we had her fur cut, so needless to say she was pretty bad. My dog came back a mess, she had a terrible cut, not even at all, and was cut pretty badly on her leg. She also had other area's of her body that seemed to be sore. I had a rough night because she would cry anytime she moved or I moved in the bed. I put her on a low dose aspirin and she did calm down some. I know she was matted some, but I have had her at Pet Smart in the same condition and all that happen there was she was cut short in a few areas, never injured. The cut on her leg is not just a little nick, it is really bad, I am worried about infection. I am putting polysporin on it to keep the threat of infection down. Don't take your dog here.

He then reluctantly did a "physical" on each of our three dogs. I told him that our oldest dog was having a prolapsed rectum at times after defacation, he said it was nothing and to watch it. If it didn't go back in, it would be something that needs to be addressed. No rectal exam...no nothing. My dog is now dying from an anal gland carcinoma, which, had he done his job could have been treated. I have been going to this clinic for 20+ years and I wouldn't send my worst enemy there now...negligence at its finest!! He seems very disconnected to the animals.

We have spent thousands of dollars at this business over the years. Our issue with Eastside started a few days ago when we took our current cat to get her nails trimmed, her first time in for that service. The work was done, the animal was returned to us and lady who did the work informed us that she had noticed on our file that this cat was not up to date with her rabies shot and because of that we would not be able to bring her back for future services until that had been updated. The fee for this shot is apparently over $200 with the tax as the vet has to "examine" her before a shot can be administered so that exam fee inflates the cost. We had this same cat in for treatment twice within the prior 6 weeks and this had never been mentioned and had not prevented her treatment so we asked why the change in policy. She advised us that "its the law". The City of Hamilton Ontario had passed a by-law some 6 years ago requiring rabies shots for all domestic pets, even indoor cats like ours. So we asked why this is now an issue given our recent history. The answer (from the front desk person on duty) was that they had only started enforcing that by-law about 2 1/2 months ago. But remember we had been there after that and nothing was said. So very upsetting and very poor customer service. I'm sure the information could have been delivered differently given our long history with this clinic. We will of course be looking for another clinic to look after our pet. My sense is that the people in charge will not really care about the loss of our business or our dissapointment with how it all ended. This is a very large corporation and individual complaints will not affect their bottom line.

And when they're "too hot in the reptile room they grow wings and fly some of them". Like huh?? SoI try to explain I'm very experienced here - I'm retired but used to be very big in the reptile industry and bred thousands of my own fruit flies - and said I'm sorry but you're wrong. flightless HYdei HAVE wings and are genetically predisposed to not flying. It's a GENE. I told her yours are tainted with regular flying fruit Flies. Her answer - I'm not going to argue with you, you can just give them back. Then she repeats the same answer of why I have "some" flying around. They're ALL flying. I explained the gas would be more to drive there and return them, that I was now more concerned over the bad info she was pushing considering. She repeated the same untrue info on flightless fruit fly genetics. ?? Then she kept adding I'm not going to argue. My only concern for posting this is - what else do these workers push as qualified knowledgeable info to customers that is completely wrong?? It's a simple product and issue but her info on this is incorrect. I ran a hot professional breeding facility for 18 years. I breed fruit flies like crazy. I'm concerned that employees there are acting like they know when they don't and it'll hurt customers looking
