I did a VIN check on the car I was looking at and it came up clear. I found the real Ernie - Ernest Engelking - who owns the legit Ernie's Auto. He advised they don't sell classic cars, but do mostly repair work. He is aware of the scam, has reported to authorities and received a number of complaints for scammed individuals and demanded that the scammer, Ted Lasso, cease & desist using his company name. The photo of the CEO on the bogus website isn't that of Mr. Engelking. Even though I did my homework (negative reviews post-date my research) I got taken. Don't fall for this scam it is very thoroughly put together and realistic looking. Have reported to IC3. Don't believe the scammer's response to my review. The deal "fell through" because the car has never been delivered. I did not get my money back. Also, the photo of "Ernie" is bogus. The real Ernie is 82 years old. This is BS through & through.

We finally decided on a car we looked at a couple weeks prior in Marshall (90 minutes away). The purchase ended up a "no-go" so we decided to look at one last dealership which was Lockwood Motors before leaving town. We were fortunate to to have John Afdem for our salesman. He greeted us with a continuous smile, was very helpful, showed a high level of interest in helping us accomplish our goal, easy to talk to and wasn't "pushy". He also repaired paint damage on my front bumper. Incredible attention to detail, the shop is spotless, the staff are friendly and helpful. When I picked up my van, it had been detailed and smelled better than brand new - I was shocked and so appreciative. Because I was without my vehicle for an extended period of time, no fault of his (the dealership didn't have one for me), he provided me with a loaner. He also gave us a gift basket thanking us for our business, which had LeRoy's merchandise including a blanket, sweatshirt, T-shirt, coffee cup and gift cards, among other items.
