We have a large area of hardwood flooring to refinish, I contacted 4 contractors and decided to…read morehire Northwest Flooring to do the work. They are family-run business (Serhii, his brother and family members do all the work), Serhii is a great communicator and he responded to my detailed questions in writing very clearly while some other contractors don't care to spend that time/effort. Their pricing is also pretty fair. During the project they worked hard and kept the schedule as promised. During the process some unanticipated issues came up and they showed flexibility and willingness to change the scope of the project and schedule accordingly. They are detail oriented. After we had them reinstall all baseboards there was one place we were not quite happy, they came back and fixed it. The end result was beautiful and it had been a great experience working with Serhii and his family crew! Northwest Flooring is definitely at the top of my list for any of our future hardwood flooring needs!

Vlad and his family did excellent work on our 60s oak hardwoods that had been covered by carpet…read morepreviously. We wanted the floors revived and refinished before we moved in, and Vlad and his brothers were communicative, transparent, quick, and professional. Our project was split into multiple steps (because of us, not them) and they graciously planned around us and came back multiple times throughout the project. They even gave us the suggestion of starting the floors, and then coming back to finish them after we finished painting walls because of dust, debris, etc., to make sure we were happiest with the end result. When we had questions or any concerns, they were quick to call, give tips, and come back to assess or change something based on our preferences. They even gave us some of the product they used so we could match our baseboards and fill them the way they suggested. I would highly recommend them for any flooring project.

Anton was very efficient. He showed up, did a quick walkthrough, and sent me a quote the same day…read more He clearly explained the options and potential gotchas, including leveling and what it would cost. He had a crew at my place the next day to remove the carpet, and they knocked it out quickly. I have vinyl flooring in the rest of the house and wanted a similar color, so he sent his PM with samples to look at. Unfortunately they were backordered, but he let me know as soon as he found out and gave me alternatives, clearly laying out the pros and cons of each. Once the material came in, his crew did a great job with the install. Really appreciated the communication, professionalism, and quality of the work.

Erik provided a professional experience from start to finish, and despite a few unforeseen issues,…read morehis team left me with a replacement floor that turned out exactly as I'd envisioned. When I sought estimates for this carpet replacement project on Yelp, Hardwood Plus was the first and fastest reply. Erik showed up on time and quickly gathered the information he needed while explaining some of the things that could go wrong, like leveling issues or finding something unexpected beneath the old carpet. He promptly provided a quote, and kept in touch via text message (a huge perk for phone call-averse people like me). When we visited the showroom to pick out the carpet and sheet vinyl pattern, it came as a relief that Erik was not interested in upselling - he'd present options, explain the pros and cons of each, and trusted us to make our own decisions. The first issue occurred on the installation day, when Erik messaged me to say the carpet had not arrived yet. He was apologetic and explained what had happened, but we would still have to wait another week for it to arrive. The second issue occurred after his team removed my old carpet: they found the tiles underneath contained asbestos and needed to be sealed, for an additional cost. This added another day to the sheet vinyl install, but this was a possibility he had mentioned early on. The team also accidentally broke my dryer vent, but Erik agreed to fix it with absolutely no fuss. Finally, there were a few little bubbles in the sheet vinyl I had to push out. But now that it's all done, I am absolutely over the moon with how great my new floor looks, and how delightfully plush the new carpet on the stairs and guest room is! Hardwood Plus is communicative, professional, friendly, honest, diligent, and timely. They do great work, take responsibility, and ensure your satisfaction. I can't recommend them enough.

Fairhaven Floors - Do you spend a lot of time in the kitchen? Give yourself the gift of new floors.

We had Fairhaven Floors install flooring and stair carpeting in our home. The floor installation…read morewas mostly fine, the stair carpeting was chaotic, and in both cases there was unfinished work. The owner made several promises to fix the unfinished bits, while stating that it wasn't going to be possible to properly do so, but never did come back and complete the work. Three and a half years later, I'm having flooring done in another part of the house, and the flooring guy was quite easily able to address the issues with the carpet and floor installation that Fairhaven left unfinished. Yes, I had to hire someone else to finish the job. My mistake for paying before the job was 100% complete.

If you're looking to install or repair wood floors, I'd definitely recommend Fairhaven Floors…read more My situation was tricky. The initial bid was to remove the carpet and refinish the original wood floors while also installing new wood floors in the remaining living areas. Once they started the work, though, we found that the original floors had issues and there were several necessary support beams missing, all while I was coordinating a move from Seattle and trying to be out of storage and into the house by the end of May. Mike and his team bent over backwards to accommodate me - they fit me in around other jobs, worked on weekends, helped find someone to fix the beams on very short notice and met the original schedule - all at an affordable price. They were professional, did an excellent job of communicating where we were in the process and the floors are beautiful.
