Pricing was totally fair (definitely more affordable than health food store prices). And they are cash only!! Will be coming back as soon as my jar is empty ;)

I truly believe that locally sourced honey is essential for keeping allergies at bay. Regardless…read moreof what anyone says or snickers behind my back, I can tell the difference in my allergies when I'm not having it regularly. The problem though, where to get it? Downtown Nashville's Farmers Market is a great source for local honey. I think I found three different honey sources there and I'm sure there were more. But Downtown is so hard to get in and out of because there just isn't any parking. I live only a few miles from downtown, but never visit it because there isn't any parking. But that's all just part of Nashville getting to big for it's britches really. With that said, I needed to find somewhere off the beaten path where I could just run in and get it on my lunch hour. Cut to Johnson Honey Farm, which surprisingly is less than a mile from my work in Goodlettsville. AND cheaper than anything I was getting from downtown. This honey is amazing and tastes very good, you will not regret buying some. Whether it's for the taste or the medicinal properties this stuff is the bee's knees!! TTFN.

So I went looking for a CSA - community-supported agriculture - meat share. The search lead me to Caney Fork Farms. Boy, am I glad I signed up!! So a full share runs you $100 a month roughly. This is all organic fresh butchered meats from their farms. The taste is simply unbeatable! If you live in Murfreesboro, the closest pick up is at Smith and Lentz Brewery in Nashville once a month. Not too bad, really, for what you get!! The shares vary in meats and you can set preferences at the start. Plus, the weekend before your Tuesday pick up time, you can customize your share based on availability. You can even get extras - I got fresh local honey and focaccia bread this last time! I have had roasts, steaks, pork chops, ribs, bacon, Canadian bacon, sausage links and patties, and even bratwurst! The flavours are unlike anything you can get at a grocery store. Once you try the fresh bacon, you won't want grocery store again!! A full share goes a long way for the two of us. Family of four would need more, in my honest opinion. Nevertheless, the share is worth it to me for the freshness and flavour!! Shares go by the season, so if you do one season, you can skip out of the next if you wish. The staff is super nice, too! Tell Natalie I sent you!! :)

Did you know Gallatin has it own bee charmer? Morgan the owner of The Ramblin Bee gives this space…read morethe perfect bee house vibe for all it's visitors! The space is small but the experience is endless. Starting with the parking situation there are a few spaces in the front but don't fret if they are full as there is additional parking in the back. The first thing you will notice as you walk in the sweet intoxicating smell not of honey but of beeswax. The front room you will have items from her delicious Sumner County honey and infused honeys which she has samples to try (and you must). You will also find little curiosities and decor to fit anyones cottage core vibe. The second room you will find more endless treasures! It's really hard to come in to just look as she has candles, dried flower decor, candle care items and did I mention candles?! Not just basic boring candles but beeswax candles in shapes of gnomes, bear and more oh my!

Have not been to the store front yet, hope they are open on Saturday but hours not listed, nor is the phone number. If you don't live close you can order online which hopefully I won't have to resort to!
