Very disappointed in the new ownership. We have taken our dogs there for the last 10 years and overall the service was decent. however, they are trying to raise their prices, but they're not being upfront. you used to do boarding for a flat fee which included play times and feeding them in a nightly stroll before they go to bed. The rates have not changed except you now have to pay for play time and bathroom breaks. which frankly is a little inhumane. if you purchased five or 10 packs for daycare there now charging you an additional dollar for pet care which really doesn't make any sense. It should be a standard fee included in the cost. I think I'm gonna take my $2000 to $4000 a year out of Countryside and move it to Indian Bridge. I tried to call this place regarding to take care of my dogs while I'm out of town. I called them at 5:30 pm to ask them what kind of shots my dog would need and if they had availability. They kept me on hold for 30 minutes straight until they closed just to not answer a question that could've taken less than 5 minutes out of there day.....‍. It's just irritating, immature, and childish. I wouldn't recommend it because if they are acting this way towards a phone call imagine the carelessness they could have towards your pets that you adore. read more

if I could give a negative 10, I would. We have been coming here for 23 years with three different Shetland (Shelties). I dropped our 11 year old off this morning for a trim of her paws, a sanitary trim in the butt, a nail trim, shampoo and brush out. - confirmed with the young lady at the front desk At 0720 AM After 5.5 hours we called on her status, and we were told that the groomer had shaved all her hair off , the excuse the groomer was confused with their new system. We now have a traumatized dog And dog parents. No apology from the front office staff and an apology from the manager several hours later shen she called the house. 23 years with this place , never again with the attitude of the immediate staff nir the manager. I would not trust them to board a pet there for the prices they charge. read more

Much has changed over the years I have used the service. They now charge a full days service even after a 5pm drop off. in the past this would not have been a charge. This was the main reason I used them. I usually have to fly out early in the morning so have to drop late evening the day before. They say that they work just like a hotel. Well a hotel is open 24 hours. You do the same then I would concur with their reasoning. Their other amenities really do not separate them from anyone else. read more

I am so very disappointed in the poor customer service this morning.Have used this kennel for decades...stayed with them after going corporate. When I took our dogs yesterday I took thier food and bowl. We discussed both dogs will eat together out of the same bowl, ziplock bag was in the bowl. The girls gave me the collars and leash took the dogs and bowl all very pleasant. Today my husband picks the dogs up and asks for the bowl, girl insists no bowl and states thier bowls look like ours so how would she know and also insists they never take bowls. Husband calls me to verify.. goes back in and she refuses to get off her butt and go look. No other customers so NOT BUSY! He gets home, I call and explain events of yesterday and that she could check with co-worker to verify the events and that I was coming back up to get the bowl that I expect her to get up and retrieve. After she tells me not to speak to her in a demanding manner...she states that in thier contract it states no responsible for personal property and that she could care less if I call her boss or yelp. We spend hundreds of dollars a year at this kennel....she would rather her employer lose valuable revenue than to satisfy a customer returning a $5 bowl. read more

These people will hire you to do grunt work and want to let u go and pay u less than agreed upon after you do said grunt work. Beware if they hire you they will make u feel like u have a job and tell u how great u are that day just to text the next day and let you go and offer to give half of what they agreed upon for that day. read more

Beware if you take your pet to Countryside's Pet Paradise in Leonardtown, MD. My pup was injured during rough play in the morning and I was not notified until I picked him up at the end of the day. My pup was cleaned up by their groomer and was isolated for hours. The fact is he did require vet care and I was not given an opportunity to have him immediately evaluated. CPP made their decisions without contacting me, my emergency POCs, or my veterinarian. The contract I signed states, "CPP will always contact me in the event that my pet(s) needs vet care." This is unacceptable. Workers had his injury photos in their cell phones and not one person contacted me until after I picked him up and asked for the owner to call me. read more

We took our dog here 2 times. Once for a bath, hair cut, nails cut, etc. when we picked him up they hadn't cut his hair at all.. I was a little confused so then I took my dog back a second time for the same package and they still didn't cut his hair.. I'm giving 3 stars because we did leave him there when we went out of town for a week and they were able to get us in on short notice. We asked for our dog to get a bath and cut the day of today before we picked him up and they still didn't find time to do the cut.. I'm not sure what's going on. He's a 10lb Bichon so I can't see the struggle lol Update: We took him to PetCo and Jody did a fantastic job. We finally got to see what our scraggly little rescue dog looked like under his mess of hair! Definitely going back to PetCo for his grooming needs! read more

I took my dog here because the other kennels in the area were already full for that weekend on short notice. They ask that all food is packaged and labeled for the dog as well as treats and toys which I did. I had packed extra food and treats in case I did not get back on the predetermined day before they closed. I did not recieve any of the extra food/treats back when I picked her up. She was also "missing" her collar and bandana. They could not be found anywhere. I had to go purchase a new collar and ID tag on my way home! I also had to go through the hassle of getting a new Rabies tag for her. They said they would look for the pink collar and let me know. I went back the next day to talk to the manager and her produced 4 pink collars! Are all of their dogs missing collars?? The facility looks clean but I would not subject my dog to that place ever again. read more

My doodles are treated very well here when groomed. Staff is friendly and efficient. They always look good, seem happy! Definitely continuing to take them here...better pricing than one in Solomons. read more

They did a great job for the main body of my dog But they have some business practice that is a little shady. They charged me for my dogs attitude. I informed them he does not like his paws touched. They did not finish his paws and than charged me and not tell me they were charging me for his attitude till I called later on. But not telling a customer that your dog has a bad attitude (which normally know just when strangers touch his paws but he has never bitten someone) than to not tell me I am being charged this. Makes for a livid customer and not willing to go back. read more

They are the very best! My adopted husky puppy had a lot of serious behavior problems when I first took him in. It was serious enough that I can not leave him alone for any amount of time. I called pet paradise and explained my situation. They were very understanding and offered to have me come in and spend a few hours with him until he felt comfortable there. The facility was very clean. There were a few barking dogs but most of them seemed calm and comfortable. The people that work there are very nice and patient with him. I've been taking my dog every day for about a month now. His behavior issues have greatly improved. When I drop him off in the morning he whines until I let him out of the car and excitedly runs up to be taken back. I highly recommend pet paradise for any dog services you need! read more

Recently we had a family emergency and I needed to kennel my very anxious/nervous schnauzer. I called Pet Paradise, learned they close at 5:00 (it was 5:10) and was told they would wait for me to deliver my pup and take care of him as long as necessary. This kennel/staff went well beyond reasonable expectations with smiles on their faces. My pup (he's 11) came back with absolutely no signs of "trauma" from separation. I would highly recommend this kennel to anybody looking for a great place to take their pets. read more

We left our two dogs with Countryside for a week while we went on vacation. The oldest of the two is a senior dog and requires medication twice a day for his arthritis. When looking at the facility they were informed of his condition and we were told it was not a problem. When they were dropped off they were told how he normally takes his medicine and given everything in order to do it in the manner he has become use too. We called twice on the trip and they were told again the easiest way to give him his medicine. We were told each time they were fine, and never told of him not getting his medication. Once we returned we found out he only received 3 of the 14 doses!!!!! When I called them about this i was told they did not want his sister to eat the medicine and he would not let them pill him. so instead of doing how we instructed or just telling us they can not handle his medication, They let him go a week without medicine for arthritis. I will make sure no one I know ever uses this facility. Or the other two sister locations. read more
