The logos of the nearby banks are also green and circular, so I suppose it's easy to mix up the numerous banks. This was also my very first time opening up a bank account. The staff was helpful and very informative. Setting up my account was fast and easy. I was referred to Commerce Bank by a friend, so they received a special gift and I did too! They have gifts each month you can choose from and if you like a later month's gift, they let you pick it up when it becomes available. The staff at this bank were very friendly. From what I could tell, they were all girls. They remembered who I was and knew that I liked a ticket with my updated amount every time I made a withdraw or deposit. After awhile, I didn't have to ask them, they would do it for me automatically. The security looked god and the bank was always really clean. I didn't like that the bank closed so early. They do have a drive-through but after they close only the ATM is available. There is a lot of parking outside, which is nice.

Who wrote me a check. I went there to cash it and was charged money to get my money from them off their check. Ridiculous. I will never do business with them or their customers. I would recommend you don't either. Basically they will not honor checks from their customers. Private transactions should not be taxed. You are a bank not the government.

I read, and re-read the post and to be quite frank, it made no sense. But, judging from the picture that doesn't surprise me. I have been a member of the United Credit Union for almost 20 years and not once in those 20 years has UCU done anything that approaches bad business practices. In fact, they have been more than courteous and have gone overboard in helping us through the years. They even granted my son a college scholarship after achieving a high score on the ACT. There's obvious more to James M.'s story than he is telling. Perhaps he should check out his customers first before doing business with people of dubious character. In case you weren't aware of it James M., most financial institutions charge you a fee to cash a check if you are not a member of that institution. Your accusations are unfounded and untrue. And, btw, the transaction was not "taxed" it was simply a handling fee which, as I said, most places of business charge. As a member of UCU for a very long time I would HIGHLY recommend doing business with them. They will do everything they can to treat you fairly - and kindly.
