He replaced a skylight in a historic building in Hartford's South End for us. We had a couple roofers try to repair and a contractor try to patch the leaky skylight with tar but it continued to leak. We had difficulty finding someone to replace it until we came across CJ. He is licensed, insured (needed this for our HOA) and certified by the skylight manufacturer. CJ came out the next day to assess, provided a quote and was there the following day to replace. His fee was very fair and work absolutely flawless. He was neat and super professional. Friendly and articulate. I really liked that he showed us before and after pictures from on top of the roof and inside as well. This guy is an absolute gem if you have a leaky skylight. I would have also had him do a second tank for for my MIL's apartment but he wasn't available because he was attending a national plumbing conference. ( I like that he continues to keep himself educated about what is going on in his field.) Since I had to go with someone else, he told me exactly what to ask for and what to expect to pay including a part that would extend the life of my new hot water tank. The company I went with initially didn't want me to add that part to the sale but I insisted. This year when he came to fix an issue with that tank which was still under warranty, not only did he deal with the warranty people which I really appreciated, I was also able to see first hand how that part the he suggested had save my tank from potential damage by collecting small metal fragments that could have ended up in the actual tank. He adds this standard on any installation of this kind of tank. To me that shows the honesty and integrity he works with. There is no doubt in my mind that he takes pride in the work he does. He had books for us to check out all our different options for shutters and railings, and said for bigger jobs, you can go to the showroom to check out materials. I personally loved the convenience of sitting on my front porch and picking everything out! He was patient and let us flip through the books and never once made us feel like he was in a rush. We put a deposit down on the spot. Our ability to do the project was dependent on another contractor doing stone work on our porch first. Fiderio was great about scheduling around them and getting the work done quickly once the stone work project was complete. They did their work fast and cleaned up without a trace. The prices are fair (let's be honest, home improvement projects are never cheap!) and the service and quality of workmanship is fantastic! I haven't even received my invoice for final payment, and I'm already eyeing my back deck for replacement....when I'm ready, I will definitely call Fiderio!
