This county is a couple of hours west of San Antonio. This county is home to all kinds of great swimming holes! The Frio River flows through the center of Uvalde County, and trust me- when the temperatures are in the 100's, a Frio river is always a plus.
There's Garner State Park in the middle of the county. This place is a beautiful, amazing place. Be sure to check out the Garner State Park reviews on Yelp.
There's also all kinds of secret swimming holes. If you get on Google Earth, you can find some of them.
