Do this one! Chef Andrew and Chef Loraine were awesome. Super fast response time and they provide EVERYTHING! We did a cooking class as our team activity for 6 and we all loved it. We just showed up and got cooking lessons from the Chef who was The Rock's personal Chef! Personally, I would recommend this 100% for visiting family and friends. It was so great and such a fun time. The whole day was from about 11am - 3pm and Chef Andrew and Chef Loraine were 30 minutes early to set up and care fully prepared with all the tools and ingredients. There wasn't one thing we cooked that I could not put into practice when I'm back home. They broke down all the steps and told us a few secrets and tips too! For $175 a person, we learned how to cook (hands on!) coconut mochi, Kauai Prawns, Fish, Seared Ahi and Poke (3 flavors). Such a good value. 5/5 highly recommend! Mahalo

Not only was Chef Andrew extremely easy to work with, he helped to create a culinary experience my friends and I would never forget. When it comes to fine dining, Chef Andrew clearly understood the importance of ambiance, sourcing fresh, local ingredients and creating an exquisite balance of all the right flavors. We scheduled a 7-course dinner at a vacation rental home on the beach. We had a number of people with dietary restrictions, which Chef Andrew easily navigated around. He prepared carefully timed and delicious courses that each of us enjoyed more than the next. Although when pinned for a favorite, all of our guests were stumped - they were all our favorite! The price was affordable, but also reflected a quality level that we expected out of this dinner. During our annual trip back to Hawaii, we'll be scheduling Chef Andrew for sure!

Excellent experience with Chef Andrew Stone - amazing food for our party of 9 during our vacation in Hawaii! He is responsive to emails and super chilled out with great attention to his menu/dinner. Highly recommend him for your next vacation or event in Oahu

Tough time of the year, lots of folks take off... was sooo happy to grab a couple of mixed boxes and mochi. Nice to talk to folks excitedly talking about what to get and people watching. Regulars know the score, best bang is start with a combo box and ADD ON your favoties. It's easy to get carried away picking from scratch and end up with a $30 box. da Grub: It's consistently GREAT and SAME year after year. Akule, Nori Chicken, Ahi burger, veg tempura & shoyu pork are my add ons to a A-D box. da Service: can be long line, but moves surprisingly quick, don't be discouraged when you see the line go to the end of the lot, go for it!

Being of mixed race, I've been exposed to many cultures within my own family. So long story short, Fukuya has been around since the 1930's and I've stopped by countless times over the years. Not my favorite Okazuya, but definitely one of the busiest with one of the largest selections! Authentic, convenient, & open before 5am! In the end, I highly recommend Fukuya for those that live in Hawaii with roots that go back generations to the plantation days. Heck, I'd recommend to just about anyone who loves simple picnic foods that our grandparents once enjoyed. Not much has changed over the years except the bright building and prices. They've also put down more markers for customer parking which has been helpful in picking up food from here. The line can be long at times but they keep it moving quickly once you get inside. Hubs and I started dabbling beyond our usual kalbi and garlic chicken combo and crunchy garlic with tater tots. We tried a new addition to their menu: poké nachos. I've seen these elsewhere on island but their wontons are freshly fried, spiced with furikake, and don't feel too heavy. It's a nice vehicle to eat their poke and comes with Taegu as well as crab and seaweed salad. Did I have it twice in one week? Also yes. Their fish patties are moist and flavorful. Can't go wrong with their poke selection, good mouthfeel, fresh fish, and flavors are delicious. The energy here is fast paced and all the workers are kind/ answer questions. Will definitely be trying more tastes from here.

OMG --- the price/lb is less where we live but it' not as fresh. Tanioka's is organized if you're patient and willing to wait in line which almost everyone is. I'm not sure if I like so much merchandise from other businesses attracting us while waiting in line. The space is already small. The ambiance could be improved by downsizing on local merchandise. We are standing in line to purchase poke not other stuff. Consider refreshing that space. Service has always been good.
