My macchiato was smooth .. A touch bitter / over roasted but otherwise good. The inside area is bright and airy, with a beach side vibe, filled with surfers, couples, day trippers and locals. Service is friendly and fast but I have had my order lost occasionally. I ordered the über healthy "Buddha bowl", which tasted fresh and flavoursome. The lettuce was crisp, the beans soft and it all rather moreish. Have had many other of their menu items and there are some winners on there. This is possibly a new cafe, or at least, it is still very young. Situated right across the car park from the Geelong Markets, it surely is a perfect pairing and a wonderful addition to this less citified area. The bright and light decor is fantastic and really brings you into the zone you are in. Theres outdoor seating, bar stools and tables for groups. It was really fantastic. I really also liked that the kitchen was raw and open, able to watch food being made. Cool little cafe, and a place that - if i lived in the city of Geelong - I would visit more often.

I opened the door shortly after midday to find half of Geelong crammed into this place - either by the cosy open fire, in the quaint outdoor courtyard or lining up by the counter. This place looks cool and has a great casual ambiance. Getting a table inside was too challenging so I opted to sit out the front in the sun and enjoy my rye sandwich which was very good. The only reason this place didn't get a 5 was because I queued for at least 10 minutes busily drooling over a chicken and walnut sandwich, only to see the girl in front of me snap it up. Egg salad was my back up choice. The broader lunch menu looks appealing as does the breaky options. The counter is decorated with many sweet choices including chocolate brownies.
