This is a high-rise hotel about 11 floors which means they have many rooms. On each day of my stay, there were issues with getting enough hot water to adequately take a shower. When I mentioned that to the assistant manager, she was aware of the situation, said they were bringing in someone to review, but all of their readings reported adequate water temps. I asked if other people had mentioned the water temp; she let me know others had complained, and then rationalized that the lack of hot water was probably due to the large number of guest they currently had. Sooo - anytime they are at high capacity, all the guests are going to experience cold showers? This is the 2nd Marriott I've stayed at this month that have had hot water issues. I truly hope that Marriott is not cutting costs in energy comsumption to the detriment of their guests. I think that is the wrong answer. Charge me more, but please let me have a hot shower. I don't know when they started but they are now charging $15/night for parking. The bed was uncomfortable, the desk chair was frayed, the sofa was so old. I remember enjoying this hotel as I stayed here 5 years ago, but this place certainly has issues now. read more

Overall, this is a good hotel. Typical Marriott facility which is clean and nice. The lobby is very nice with a bar, eatery and breakfast spot. Room was standard, neat and clean. Bedding was comfortable and room was in relatively good condition. Where this score dropped is in the bathroom. Come on Marriot, you still have original small round toilets??? The bathroom is so small, the toilet lid hits the counter. You are truly cramped in there. The toilet is extremely tiny. You really need to upgrade to even a standard elongated bowl, however I dont know that it would fit. This was a pain point. read more

My family and I stayed at the Marriott Courtyard in Cherry Creek last weekend for a family reunion and I cannot say enough about this hotel! The view from our room was SPECTACULAR and we caught the sunset just in time as it disappeared behind the beautiful Front Range. We didn't meet a single disgruntled employee and can honestly say everyone was so delightful! The person who stood out to me the most was Tre!! As he checked us in, you could tell he was genuinely invested in our happiness. He suggested wonderful restaurants nearby, let us know what there was to do and/or see in Denver, and made sure our stay was nothing short of exceptional!!! All I can say is everyone was very welcoming and hospitable. The lobby and bistro was very nice. The check in process was very smooth and easy. We were greeted upon entry and it took about 10/15 mins tops. Our room was on the first floor not too far from the elevator and it was nice. Smaller than what we are use to as a double Queen especially with our toddlers but, hey they didn't complain so it's cool. The room was clean, well stocked with towels and a nice big flat screen and not that small 35 lol... We order dinner from the bistro and my husband was very pleased with the rigatoni with the shrimp. He said it was spicy and very flavorful just how he like it. I order a Caesar salad with chicken and found it to be off that it had cherry tomatoes and cucumbers in it. I was not cool with that because I do not like tomatoes. Although my husband picked them off it was just not the same. He said it was good. The beds were very comfortable and had nice linens... The room was clean. The bathroom was clean but very small. It would've been nice to have a bigger bathroom but as long as everything else was good we were happy. I would like to give a special shout out to the front desk person, his name is. Tre James, he was super friendly, warm and welcoming and my niece and I enjoyed chatting with him! He was there when we arrived and he was also there when we checked out we chatted a lot, and he asked if he could give me a hug on my way out, which was a very nice personal touch, very sweet guy! You don't get that friendly service every day anymore. I hope his employers appreciate him. Really great stay, close to my daughter's house and we will stay again! read more

I've never given a 1-Star rating to any hotel before, let alone a major national franchise like Courtyard by Marriott. This, however, was one of the worst hospitality experiences in my lifetime, to be sure. I urge all travelers to pay attention to the plethora of 1-Star ratings HERE and on TripAdvisor, for this unbelievably poorly managed property. You can explain away a handful of poor ratings, but not the number here. Our experience was the same, and I tried for months to resolve my complaints, frustration, even anger (!) before writing this review. We booked through a third party site and paid in full weeks in advance for two rooms, one for my wife & I and one for my son, who arrived separately into DIA, a few hours before our arrival. Our flight was a couple of hours late due to Denver weather, nothing unusual. We arrived after 11PM, but no problem, since we were 100% prepaid. (They can't sell our room out from under us when they have our money up front -- right? Wrong, that's exactly what they did.) We waited for 20 minutes for the hotel desk clerk to show up finally and take care of the couple ahead of us, noting that they were upset with their booking also, so I knew it was likely an overbooking problem. This was the night before our son's wedding day, by the way, a point that was 100% lost on "Tanya" the night clerk. She shrugged and said, "sorry we have no more rooms available for you, go elsewhere." Incredible. It was by sheer will, that I refused to leave the lobby. I had pre-paid for our room, promised a King room near our son's, and I was determined to get Courtyard Cherry Hill to deliver on our contract. Finally, "Tanya" relented, and "found a room", which she delivered by handing us room keys, in disgust. I knew something was fishy, because if they were sold out, what was this room? Then the other shoe dropped, and when we opened the stuffy room door, we were hit in the face with hot stale air. The AC was busted. 100% in-opp. The only window was basically screwed shut, and it was sweltering. We would not sleep. We did hardly sleep. When I rode the elevator down to Tanya, she was cold and aloof. "Sorry, that's it, last room." I asked for her name and a card, and just got her first name out of her. Of course. I asked to be comped to drinks to help us to sleep, and she refused. Next morning, at checkout, I spoke with "Ja-Niece", who had been briefed on our encounter with "Tanya". She was aggressive and went on offense, literally scolding me for chewing out the night Clerk. Said I'd been rude and that there was nothing Marriott could or would do with my room downgrade and nightmarish stay in the hotbox because I did not book directly with Marriott, and they were free to sell our room to others due to late arrival. Also appealed to "Princess," the Manager on Duty, and she blew us off as well. After we departed, with no apology, and only rude rejection, I called Marriott corporate offices and spoke with numerous CSR's and they promised to "message" Ashley, the General Manager of that property, who eventually called me back, but gave me the cold shoulder eventually as well, after promising me to look into the situation, and remedy our very poor treatment at her hotel. She failed to get back to me, despite two more separate calls to report these communications to Marriott corporate. I was basically told that this property was independently owned as a franchise, and they could not control how we were treated. All I can say is we got royally screwed over by Marriott Courtyard Cherry Creek, and they brazenly blew us off claiming that we had no rights whatsoever since we had pre-paid through a third party website, not through Marriott directly. I will never stay at a Marriott Courtyard again. I can assure you that! read more

Do not stay in this hotel. I booked two Deluxe Queen Rooms for 4/25-4/29 via Expedia. When we checked in, both my friend and I gave ID and credit cards for our rooms. My friend was put into the incorrect room: it was a king-sized bedroom and she noticed the room TV had a different name (same first name, different spelling), but assumed it was a technical glitch and that she had been upgraded. The front desk called the room an hour later (after midnight, after a very long travel evening) to confirm the name on the reservation - and did not indicate why they were doing so. My room was not serviced by housekeeping until I called - twice - and I was met with gaslighting. "They should have come yesterday, so I don't know what happened." We literally had to make them come up the last night so we could get clean towels. On our last night, the key cards to that room deactivated, so she had to go to the front desk to get new keys. Both of the keys to my room barely functioned the entire time. Before checking out, I realized I had pending charges on my card for both rooms - despite having given two different cards for the two different rooms at check in. When we checked out, we made sure to communicate this to the front desk. They sent us updated folios and we realized at the airport that they had charged more for the second room, the folio for which still had the other person's name AND last four of their credit card. We waited for all pending charges to go through. My friend was charged for one night at the hotel, and I was charged for both rooms - AND hers had charges from the restaurant that she had not consented to (we assume they were made by the third, other person whose room she was put in). I spoke with Janine, head of guest services, who offered a halfhearted apology and no other way of trying to make things right. This is incredibly unacceptable and frankly disturbing. The amount of mishandling of very sensitive financial information was reprehensible and I would have thought would result in some kind of credit to make good for the many, MANY errors on their part. The lack of commitment to safety and quality is disquieting at best and disturbing at worst. It has me reconsidering my Bonvoy status and ever staying in a Marriott property again. read more

Marriott is a huge, global corporation - they can afford to fix up their properties and pay staff better, but they don't. While the building was newer, the room was small, there was no complimentary anything at breakfast, and the staff seemed deeply miserable. It does the job but at this price point, you can go somewhere much better. See photos for the dirty door, damage repaired with tape, and sketchy bathroom light fixture. read more

My husband attended a conference in July and we stayed at this Courtyard. It was very pleasant. Everyone who worked here were just wonderful. Two standouts were Tanner at the Front Desk and Ana from Housekeeping. Tanner offered useful information with many of the sites that I visited. Ana always had a smile and provided assistance to me. I love this little part of town and recently booked a stay for a few nights. A lot has changed in the past 10 years, so I recommend filtering out the dated reviews. Perhaps a lot has improved since then, and the neighborhood certainly looks a lot fuller these days with new office buildings, large plazas with food and retail galore, and just general traffic. My takeaways: - There are oodles of hotel options up and down Colorado Blvd, and this is one of the better options that are situated somewhere in the middle. Great location for someone arriving by car or foot. - It's a bit old-school, but not rustic or outdated. Sure, the bathrooms are a bit small, but they've been remodeled. The furniture and amenities may need an upgrade, but the place is overall comfortable, clean and accommodating. - I loved the little touches throughout. There's a Manager's Happy Hour on Thursdays, a hydration station, a Starbucks station, coffee/tea in the room, a gym, an indoor pool, a lounge area with individual booths and TVs, etc. - There are a few noticeable voids, however. No housekeeping unless you're staying more than 3 days, no free water, no complimentary breakfast available in the morning, minimal charging options in the room, etc. - The staff are attentive and helpful. They're also able to hold your bags if you arrive early or leave late. - I believe parking is $12 each night, and don't forget to display the parking pass. We showed up at 5 PM and were told that the system was down and they had no idea when they could check us in?!? This is the second time that they have had an issue with their system, preventing me from having access to my room. The last time I had already checked in, it was late at night, and I had to wait over an hour. This time they had no clue. One time when I stayed here I got up in the morning only to find out that while I was asleep, they had checked in another person into my room! Because of its proximity to the University of Denver, I've tried to give them a chance, but I will not be coming back to this property and I strongly encourage people to avoid it at all costs. read more

Staff greeted me immediately upon walking in the door. Very friendly and easy check in especially being a Marriott member with mobile check in. Lobby area is very large with lots of seating. Nice touch with the 3 different types of flavored fruit infused water. Bistro is restaurant style unlike other courtyard hotel where they actually have table service and have a more extensive menu. Rooms are large with a nice counter area, work desk area, and couch. Bed is comfy and has electrical outlets by the bedside just missing USB outlets which is more the norm now. Shower has pumped style Tea Tree shampoo, conditioner and body wash vs the smaller bottle toiletries except for the body lotion. Unfortunately after one night, housekeeping cleaned my room but did not give me another lotion and didn't leave me with hand soap for the sink. Great location with lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Large parking lot so even after arriving late there was still adequate parking. read more

Stayed here a few nights during NYE weekend as a home base for skiing at Winter Park. Loved the location of this hotel. We were central to all the places we wanted to see. Rooms were modern, nice, & clean. The beds were very comfortable. Microwave & mini fridge in the room but what I love the most was the Tea Tree shampoo, conditioner, & body wash that they provide in a fixed dispenser in the shower. There is a small restaurant / cafe and a Starbucks in the hotel. There is a lot of parking in front of the building. They have a hydration station at the lobby with 3 different fruit infused water flavors. We were also treated with a hot chocolate bar until 11PM daily. Service is outstanding. Their shift manager was even so kind to give us bottled waters on our way out to head to the mountains. Highly recommend this place. Would most likely stay here again. read more

We checked in here and were surprised to be informed at check in that our room would not be serviced during our entire 3 night stay. I know hotels are trying to cut back on services but 3 nights without a clean is a bit long in my book. The front desk did tell us if we needed additional towels they could be brought up. The room was cramped (see pictures of bathroom below) and outdated which seemed in contrast with the lobby which looked fresh and new. I think will try the Hyatt Place next time which is just up the road. read more

This is your average, run of the mill Marriott, where everything seems a little smaller and a bit pricier than it should be. Room seemed overpriced at about $200. To be fair, everyone gave good service and nothing went wrong, but there was no reason to go back. It just happened to be near work. Parking is $12 overnight. There's a Starbucks, and a restaurant and bar. I grabbed breakfast but skipped the overpriced buffet. I can't recommend the avocado toast. It was attractive, but I can't say it had much actual avocado, and was more like an avocado spread but a container. Arugula was a nice touch and bread was good, but way too much vinaigrette. Cold hard boiled egg didn't help, but nothing wrong with it. read more

This hotel is clean and nicely decorated and in a great location! We had to check out of another Marriott property due to a noise issue and we were SO grateful for the amazing staff at this Courtyard that let us check in at 7am the following morning. They took mercy on our story from the night before and upgraded my elderly mother and I into a suite. We were in town for a college graduation. The Starbucks is open for coffee but there is not much offering of food. Covid rules are still in play. The staff was super friendly and our room was clean and nicely furnished! The snack store was open and the property parking is easy. The location is really great too! Thank you to everyone who works their for saving our family celebration weekend. This hotel is in a great location for shopping and sightseeing. Hotel lobby is beautiful and welcoming. Parking is right in front of the entrance so makes check in very convenient. Location is also very safe in comparison to some areas of downtown. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The only reason for the 4 stars vs 5 is that the courtyard rooms have very little privacy, so we kept our window closed the entire time. read more

The hotel itself is nice. Small front lobby opens up into a large seating area, and reasonably large dining area. Service is very good and accommodating. From the outside, it looks like a large Marriott, not a courtyard, a tall and wide, single structure building. I was kinda on a budget when I stayed here, so it fit into that reasonably priced category (just north of $100/night). The problem is that it is not in the best of areas, and due to it's location, nothing was walking distance to eat. Matter of fact, it's 2 miles from anything of substance. I always stay at Marriott when I can. Free parking and plenty of it, always clean, decent rooms (although bathrooms tend to be on the smaller size and wifi tv so can get your Netflix binge on. This Courtyard is really convenient as it's iust off 25 which is the main N/S freeway that traverses the entire state. Service at the desk was friendly, always a smile and they clean rooms right away in the am which I like. Nothing like coming back to a hotel in an afternoon only to find your room isn't clean. Tons of food places around and if you are in the market for a mattress there are 5 mattress stores within 2 blocks. Must be a lot of mattresses worn out in the winter when you are snowed in! I typically use Courtyard as a benchmark for a solid client experience when traveling. This particular Courtyard falls well below benchmark. Likely under staffed. Rooms and especially the bathroom was very small. Service, when available was very pleasant, but lacking. Basics like coffee in your room and soap for the bathrooms were only available if you ask. In the case of the coffee, not even available. I can't recommend this particular Courtyard, though I am a fan of the brand. read more

Everyone is so rude and unaccommodating ..... from check in a woman who just stands behind the agents to control how people are checked in and makes sure any request you may have are not met... to just staff who wonder around the lobby and dinning areas to bother people and harass anyone who is trying to mind their own business... so because I decided to order a quick muffin and coffee from their coffee shop instead of a full breakfast from their cafe I am not allowed to sit in the empty lobby area and relax plan for my day... Courtyard Denver Cherry Creek is a great no-frills stay at a Marriott property. The staff are very attentive and there was nothing wrong with the entire stay. They are very accommodating and the rooms are comfortable. The rooms here are a slightly smaller footprint, but nothing to complain about. It was nice having the extra HBO channels to choose from, even if nothing was showing. I would definitely stay here again next time I visit Denver. read more

I booked a room seven months in advance and less than two hours before check in received an email that they switched my reservation to a completely different hotel chain because they overbooked. Then the information they sent to the Hilton had the incorrect rate information. They did send a letter to my email with my booking rate and thankfully the manager at the Hilton honored it because the one Marriott sent them was nearly triple. This place is conveniently located close to freeways, food, gas, and entertainment. I'm a huge Marriott fan. I like the chain of hotels. Pretty much the same across the board....excellent customer service, clean establishment, decent pricing, etc.... This one has the Starbucks food area. The food section and bar stays open until 11pm at night which is nice. You can grab breakfast in the morning, which is also nice. The rooms are of a nice size....come with a microwave AND a refrigerator which is not always a guarantee at other hotels. Nice sized TV. A large couch and a desk area..., decent sized bathroom...AND comes with a bar top too....whhaaattt??! lol. This place appreciates their reward customers as well. Plenty of parking. I do a fair amount of business travel, but in this case was in Denver with the kids for the weekend. It takes a lot to get me to bother with a review - good or bad - but the Courtyard got my attention. 1st Star: Fast and easy check-in, no lost reservation and no wait. Those are the basic requirements on my "Maslow hierarchy" for the hotel. 2nd Star: Quiet room, comfortable beds and pillows, mountain view. I've seen the mountains before, still can't get enough... 3rd Star: Fine snack area and good selections at the in-house bar. Picked up almonds (for kid #2) and a New Belgium Ranger (for me, duh). Solid WiFi that was easy (and free) to connect to. Introduced kid #2 to The Matrix - "why oh why didn't I take the BLUE pill?" 4th Star: Convenient location for everything I wanted to do here. Easy in / easy out from Colorado. Starbucks nearby. 5th Star: Almost a major penalty, but then recovered and then some! Woke up early to shower, no hot water. Called front desk - "try again, should be fixed". Just warmer than lukewarm, left me in a grumpy mood. Returned this evening to find a lengthy (200+ word?) handwritten apology note explaining the situation in my room, along with an array of snacks - chocolate covered pretzels, several bottles of water, Kind bars, almonds and more. If you're going to do a real apology, that's the way to do it. Well done, Courtyard. read more
