Wow! This place is amazing. Cheryl and Dwight are the best hosts. We stopped here on a road trip…read moreup to Prince Edward Island and they were so hospitable and helpful. The room we stayed in was out back in the carriage house...very warm and cozy and clean. Just what we needed. They even allowed us to use their washer/dryer to do laundry. They gave us tips on what to see in St John and where to eat--check out Britt's Pub! The breakfast was one of the best on our trip...homemade cinnamon rolls, an egg casserole, fresh fruit, and good coffee. Loved getting to know Cheryl and Dwight and the other guests. The room was very reasonably priced and the location is a short walk from the heart of St. John. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely go back.

We stayed here while in St John as we always prefer a B&B to a motel or hotel. Nice older building…read morein the centre of Old Town within walking distance to the City Market and lots of restaurants. The owners are friendly and welcoming and seem to genuinely like people. A huge plus in this business. The room we had was full of old items to match the style of the building. Our only issue was that the beds were very high and hard to get in or out of. Our room had a single and a double and the single had two box springs as well as a full sized mattress on the old wood frame. I realize they did this so the two beds would look the same height but it was a challenge to get in to. A very tiny bathroom was in the room which was nice but the shower was very small so if you need space to move around in there you may want to stay in a different room which may have a larger shower stall. The included breakfast was French Toast & Fruit with Bacon on the side. Huge portions and very tasty. We went out to get latte's as soon as we got up as The Earl of Leinster only offers drip coffee and we are addicted to coffee with more teeth then drip can achieve. I would recommend this cute little B&B if you are looking for accommodation in downtown St John.

First things first----out small your bus stopped and let us off. Our EF GoAhead tour director said…read morehe chose this motel over some chain motels. I wasn't impressed at first, standing outside. But I noticed four things right away: only two stories. First floor had outside porches and accessible entries, impeccably clean, orderly grounds, and Casino right next door. (Quiet clean casino, wouldn't have known it was there unless I read the sign.) Stepped into lobby: as a retired nurse I saw an available wheelchair, wall mounted defibrillator AND Epi-Pen station. Well, right away, I knew my review would be Five-Stars. All the usual amenities of white, clean, orderly eating area for breakfast and carry-out delivery meal, microwave, etc. Afternoon tea available. Microwave. Refrigerator in room. Bed was perfect. Lovely soft white sheets and pillows. Clean comfy couch. Excellent TV. Dog friendly, I assume, as I saw a lady and her dog passing through the lobby from the ice machine. As a dog lover myself, and missing my 40-pound love bug terribly while on this tour, I was totally jealous of the lady with her "best friend." The bathroom......wow. Oversized white one-piece tub, extended shower curtain, easy to control knobs, soft, likely near new towels, bright white. One unfortunate--my room hair dryer didn't work...likely needed ground-fault reset but my fingers couldn't do it. But at 11p, I just didn't want to bother the front desk. Also, for some reason, the power must have gone out at 12:12 a because the radio/alarm clock was blinking this morning. USB plugs, good lighting. Lady at desk said a Dutch family owned this motel and her mother managed all five of them here. I asked at desk if they had postage stamps for sale. She said she'd been asked twice lately; likely she'll start stocking a few. Parking lot level, clean, easy. Big Oversized vehicles should park in casino lot, which maybe is 50 feet away, and just walk across the grass. But our Tour Director advised us that the Closest restaurant was in Casino. At a previous market stop that we might chose to bring my own sandwich, sodas and snacks and I had a nice TV dinner after a one hour twilight walk upon arrival at the motel. I live close to a Casino; no need to go to one here. Honestly, it was so quiet, I would never have known it was there. The entrance and the lighting must be to a different street entrance. If I come back, I'll stay here again. I felt right at home. Very, very comfortable. Not too big, not too small.....just right. And, next time, hopefully I'll have my pooch with me.

This isn't the fanciest hotel around by any means but the rooms are clean, new, beds are comfortable and the staff is absolutely amazing. During our four week stay we got to now them very very and at every instance they bent over backwards to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Wether you're looking for somewhere to have a meeting or just spend the night, this is a great place at a very reasonable price. Had they had a pool they would have received a 5 star rating but consider this 4 1/2 stars

NOTE: This review is for the restaurant only…read more We rolled into Sussex around 7PM, checked into our motel (not this one) down the street, and decided to find a local restaurant that was not a chain restaurant. We stumbled upon All Seasons Inn & Restaurant, why not, eh? Set in a large log building, the spacious dining room with table seating has a country atmosphere with shiny log walls & wood beams, and a stone fireplace. There's also a large banquet/conference room accommodating up to 200 people. The menu offers typical Canadian cuisine including starters, poutine, sandwiches, wraps, soups, chowders, salads, steaks, chops, poultry, stir-fry, seafood, pasta, comfort dishes, and desserts. The prices here are fair, most dinner entrees priced $13-$20 with HST. A Tiny Tummies menu is offered and kids 10 & under eat for a "penny a pound" so be sure to get weighed in, regular price $4.50. My buddy had the Seafood Stir-Fry ($11.50), which was grilled scallops & shrimp and sauteed vegetables over rice pilaf. The dish itself came out hot and had a sweet taste, vegetables slightly undercooked. I had the Lasagna ($11.50) which was layered noodles with beef, hearty tomato sauce and topped with melted cheese served with mainly Caesar salad (taking up much of the plate) and toasted garlic bread. The lasagna was decent with no ricotta filling in this dish and the Caesar salad was fresh and good. For dessert, I had the homemade Apple Pie ala Mode ($4.75) which was served warm with vanilla ice cream, the best part of the meal. The service was okay, laid back, and the waitress left us alone for most of the time. BTW, it must be customary in Canada to be asked if we wished to have split checks, since we've been asked this question at several restaurants in New Brunswick. We decided each time to have all of the food and drink on the same check. The meal check is settled up at the counter near the exit. Overall, the meal was satisfying after a long day of touring.
