You could take your chances with a random Google listing, or you could call Buford General Contractors and get real professionals. Our job was a complex one. Our house is 40 years old and was suffering considerable wood rot on the deck that had spread into the side of the house. This caused not only a rickety, rotting deck, but water leaks in the house where the wood had rotted through. Not good! What started as a simple deck resurfacing turned into a complex job involving rebuilding the deck stairs, ripping out the old rotten wooden deck surface, replacing it with more durable surfacing that was resistant to rot, and this is the most hairy part.....finding the source of those water leaks and stopping them. One great thing about Buford is that they have great relationships with local subcontractors. If something is not their specialty, they have a Rolodex of numbers they can call for vetted, quality contractors to assist. This job required many specialties, and they coordinated with specialists to give us a great job done the first time. When big storms came after the job and there was still some leaking, they had a man onsite that day who quickly identified the source of an additional leak coming from rotted trim boards above the deck. This was very good and totally not their fault, as the trim boards above the deck were not part of the deck resurfacing, stair rebuilding and wood rot remediation of the deck itself. The price for this additional work was more than fair and it was done quickly and professionally. Seriously, if you live around Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville or HEB, call them. They were always prompt, professional and reasonable. Not too expensive and not too cheap. You get what you pay for, after all.

Professional service from TJ right down through his workers. TJ made sure he had a thorough understanding of what we wanted, was very knowledgeable and was easy to work with on anything unexpected that came up. The work area was kept clean, and the guys were in and out as expected. The price was entirely reasonable, and the quote was adhered to. When the project was finished, TJ came and did a walk-through and asked me if there was anything I felt needed to be addressed before they were done. I had a few little things, and they were taken care of right away. In other words, they weren't done until we were fully satisfied, and they stood behind that. I have a lot of respect for companies that do this. Cons: only one and not that bad - communication around the beginning and the end of the project was a little difficult. Insurance originally inspected the damage and determined it was a builder oversight and nothing they can do. Brandon and Amity took over this project with haste. We had public adjusters, private contractors, and designated teams to fight the insurance company. After a couple of inspections we only got them to cover only 10% of the project. That wasn't good enough for Amity (and us). They fought tooth and nail for over 10 months until we finally got the approval and payment we needed to get this project going and to make sure my family was taken care of. They replaced the entire roof, all the gutters, and renovated the whole garage interior and exterior. It was truly a crazy experience. The roof itself only took a day. The gutters and garage a day as well. Very efficient team from start to finish. We ended up selling the house and moving a few months after the project was finished, but this roof and reno definitely improved the market value of my home.
