Cox tree service came out to remove a pine tree fallen during a storm a few months ago. They only removed part of the tree and left 10 huge logs behind and the stump. I never heard back until recently they are demanding payment for a job not completed and sent me an invoice with another persons name on it. Please use somebody else read more

They broke the sprinkler pipes, and then they did not install paid for mulch. Owner is very unprofessional, did not provide a contract. Be careful. read more

They did an incredible job for us. We had them trim and clean 6, 300 year old oak trees and it looks perfect. Highly recommended.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SUED BY YOUR NEIGHBOR!!!! My neighbor hired this company to cut a tree down in HER back yard. Instead, while no one was home, they broke into my back yard and cut down my trees instead. I saw this happening on my camera, but by the time I was able to get home the damage was already done. They went through a locked gate, drove a tracked machine across my lawn and proceeded to cut down 4 trees IN MY YARD. The worker that did it even said it felt wrong, but did it anyway. They literally had to drive down the block to enter my driveway, so it was very deliberate. Talked to Greg, the owner, who likes to gaslight people. He said that he would've never cut down a tree if it was heathy. What a nice guy right?!?! Charitably breaking onto peoples private property to cut down trees that they weren't hired to cut down, it's curious that he still in business. Hired Cox Tree Service to remove 21 Bradford Pear trees that lined our driveway. The team of four completed the removal, grinding, disposal and stump grinding in one day. They were hard working, get the job done right workers. More than fair price. Would recommend them. Other family members had them do pruning and removal before us, so they are winning all our business. read more

I had eight very large tulip poplars removed from around my house. This required large cranes and a lot of careful work. Cox was by far the cheapest bid and when it came time to do the work they were quick and professional. I highly recommend their work. read more

Buyer beware! While Cox Tree Service may know how to take a tree down, they appear to have no concern for their loyal customers after receiving payment. I had two large trees taken down and the stumps ground. They did a nice job of tree removal, they were careful not to harm my house or garage or my neighbor's house and property. However, when they were done grinding the stumps, I questioned whether they were ground down far enough because there was quite a pile of wood chips and the gentlemen grinding could not show me how far down they were actually ground. He said just to let him know if they weren't low enough and he'd gladly come back to grind farther at no additional cost. Well, such was the case, but it wasn't obvious until the wood chips were removed. So I called their office, which by the way never answers the phone.... You always have to leave a message. That was four months ago. I've called at least a dozen times since and sent probably as many emails. The first response I received from the office manager was that she was waiting to speak to the owner Gregg. A couple weeks go by, I email again and call again... no response. Waited another week, called again, emailed again... asked to have Gregg call me.... Nothing. Waited a couple days, sent another email asking if they are going to honor their original commitment about coming out to grind farther. Received a response that they will honor the commitment but now their grinder is down and they are waiting to get it back from the shop. Okay, so I bought that excuse... shame on me. I waited another month and a half with no call back or emails so I called and emailed again this time asking if it's fixed now and if we can get the grinding scheduled. No response.... Called the next day, no response. Sent another email asking to have Gregg call me. Received a response saying Ryan has all my information and will be calling me to make arrangements. Another week passes, no call from Ryan or Gregg. Called three more times over the next two days... as usual, no answer or response. Sent another email explaining how frustrated I was, received a quick response saying it will be taken care of this week as long as weather cooperates and that the office manager would follow up with me by week's end to make sure it was taken care of. Nobody called, stopped by, or emailed that week and it was nice the entire week. So another week passes.... Still nothing. read more

Cox Tree Service has been Pruning & cutting my tree's down for many years, Greg & his staff are so Knowledgeable in what branches to cutback and what to leave. Cox Tree Service just saved one of my big oaks, by injecting it with fertilizer. If I could give this company less than 1 star, I would. I contacted Cox Tree advising that I needed several large trees looked at for removal and trimming I gave the Office Manager my full name, address, phone number, email address and multiple days & times that I was available. She advised me that she would have someone call me to set up an estimate visit. After 3 days & no return call, I left a message on their company voicemail in the middle of the afternoon inquiring why I have not received a return call to set up the estimate visit. The next day, the Office Manager returned my call and stated that she did not have anything in their system on me. When I started to give her my information again...a miracle...she found me in their system. I again gave her multiple days & times that I was available & she advised that someone would call me back that day to set up the estimate visit. The next day, she called me & asked if anyone had called me to set up the estimate visit. I told her no. She then stated that they have a wrong number for me and asked for my phone number again. My immediate response was, "If you have a wrong number for me, then how did you just call me?" She fumbled through another excuse & once again promised that someone would call me back that day to set up the estimate visit. Well no surprise, no one called me. Then over 2 weeks later, I get an email from the Office Manager advising that they have been trying to get in touch with me; however, I gave them a wrong phone. Really...she called me twice on the right phone number, but somehow I gave them the wrong phone number. Plus, they already had my full name & address. A simple white pages or google search would have given them my home number. And then the insult of insults, she used the wrong name in the email that she sent me, even though my full name is in my email address. Do yourself a big favor & ignore Cox Tree Service...that's what they do to their customers anyways. Call another tree service company that understands the value of their customers and timely customer service. read more
