The prices of the drinks in the social club are brilliant and are probably the best priced drinks in Billingham. The members of the club are all lovely and very friendly. The staff are all very helpful, friendly and always make you feel very welcome. The club has 2 snooker tables as well as dart boards and other pub games. The club has a huge room upstairs which can be hired and is also used for various meetings for local organisations and dance groups!

This is a very busy club cattering for not only the locals but for many visiting clubs. A lounge bar which is nicely decorated & dispays the Thomas Lipton Trophy (1st world cup) & a smaller bar which is exclusively male only. On the next floor it has another lounge bar & large concert room. They hold bingo nights & at weekends it's always busy with live entertaiment. There is no parking immediatly outside the club but spaces can be found around the village green or by the post office. The beer is always cheaper than the local pubs which in the main are closeing one by one. Worth a visit if only to see the world cup from 1909 & 1911 winning team of West Auckland.

Cheaper beers, narrow tables set in rows, room for a disco and a meat draw of a weekend. (You buy tickets and can win a tray of assorted cuts of meat from the butcher) and downstairs rooms with the golden glow of nicotine on the fluorescent tubes and ceiling tiles still unchanged since the law changed. They are a snapshot of something unseen anywhere else. Always polite, clean, stocked up on all essentials but not a place for real ale and gastro adventures, this is a working men's club. No women in the bar and strippers on a Sunday afternoon to raise some blood to the cheeks of the chaps, if nowhere else. Awesome.
