I had been looking for a pair of silver earrings for a while and the moment I stepped in to this shop, I knew I would walk away with something I had been yearning for. The store is a good size. To the left is what's made locally in Taos. And to the right, all everything else (at least that is what the lady upfront who was manning the shop's register said. By the way, she was welcoming and courteous.) I couldn't help telling her that this was by far the best jewelry shop I had stepped into in Taos to which she proudly agreed with. Her confidence in what the shop carries and sells was manifested in her reply. Everything is beautifully placed inside the glass showcase on both sides. The store has done an excellent job by displaying the pieces in the most orderly way as possible. I quickly glanced at the left side first. I then proceeded to where the lady was standing (the right side). And then a pair of silver Navajo earrings caught my attention. I didn't know they were Navajo until the kind lady told me so. The earrings were exactly the right size (I was looking for something small/smaller.) I asked the lady to take them out of the glass case so I could take a closer look. She, of course, generously allowed me to put them on my ears. At that moment, I knew they were it!! And to my surprise, the price was barely $30+? Really? These non-machine-made pieces are only that much? No more wasting of my time so I quickly transacted to purchase them. A little solo getaway to Taos led me to these beautiful earrings was a treat. If you are in Taos and are looking for beautiful and quality pieces of jewelry, waste no time and go here. You are guaranteed to find what you are looking for.

We visit at least once on every trip and the staff (and we've dealt with three separate employees/managers) are always friendly and accommodating. They really love what they do and represent the artists well. The gallery stocks antiques as well as work by contemporary artists. I saw an article in the Taos News about Maria Samora and her Jewelry and I had to find the store…read moresince her work is so amazing. in July we were in Taos so I sought out the store and finally found it and I really wanted to meet Maria personally but I was taken really good care of by Michelle, I wanted a ring and found the most beautiful silver ring with three lines with V on each and a small diamond on each for my middle finger-HAD to have it! I am giving this five stars based on my experience and just a little bit of faith…read more The owner, Jennifer, is *delightful* to talk to and really seems to care about the customer. I learned in our conversation that she is part Hispanic and part Native American. The shop is located in a beautiful space in the Plaza, and the family-owned business piece of it is very appealing to me. I mentioned "faith" because I am not able to promise that every piece in the store is Native-made. Personally, I want to patronize Natives only when it comes to Tribal jewelry and art. The piece I bought is definitely "Native" made, however, upon searching online, the artist's story is that she's a successful businesswoman who's done many things, among them jewelry. No matter to me, she is Navajo by heritage and culture, and she did make my piece! I would definitely recommend trying this store first or if you only have time for a few shops. At least half the shops in the Plaza seem very touristy. This one is classy and, I believe, authentic.
