I used CPS for my GE oven. About three years after I bought  my range it stopped working , it would climb to 250 degrees and would not heat up past that point.  I called the local store that  I originally bought it from, and they connected me with CPS and said my 5-year extended warranty was through them. CPS arranged for a GE technician to come out within one day. The technician came out and repaired the  range at no charge , the whole job took about 40 minutes and its been working great since.  I was extremely happy with the service and would highly recommend them. read more

I bought a CPS plan for my GE Profile French-door refrigerator (model PFE28KYNFS). On Sunday, July 12, I noticed the milk felt warmer than usual. The refrigerator was reading 52 degrees even though it was set to 36, and the freezer had climbed to approximately 19 degrees. I called CPS first thing Monday morning to submit a claim, the rep confirmed my coverage and put in my model and serial number, and scheduled an appointment with GE Factory Service. I received the appointment confirm later that day. The GE tech came on Tuesday morning, He ran the refrigerator through its diagnostic mode and said that the compressor's inverter control had failed, preventing the compressor from operating correctly. He didn't have the correct replacement part on his truck, but he ordered it while he was still at my house and scheduled another return service visit. CPS kept the claim open and followed up with me on Thursday to confirm that the part landed. The same GE tech came back Friday afternoon. He replaced the part, tested the compressor and checked the temperatures before leaving. The second visit took about an hour. That night, the refrigerator was back below 40 degrees, and by Saturday morning it was holding steady at 36 degrees with the freezer at -1. Being without a fridge was definitely frustrating, but CPS handled the claim properly and kept me informed and was a solid value. The fridge has been running normally since this claim. Finally I got hold of someone at CPS that actually tried to help me. Diana Meti took over 20 minutes to review my claim. I believe she did the best she could to resolve. However, after 3 months trying to get my range repaired it still sits in limbo. I think it maybe due to the lack of the service company because they don't update CPS with necessary information. In the meantime Diana did all she could and was very helpful. Because my claim still has not been resolved I can't give a better rating, no fault of Diana. read more

I have had an open warranty claim with this company since June 4, and after more than a month, my claim still has not been resolved. My refrigerator originally cost approximately $2,000, yet the only resolution they continue to offer is $531, which is nowhere near enough to repair or replace it with a comparable unit. What has been most frustrating is that they repeatedly send the exact same offer while ignoring the questions and concerns I have raised in multiple emails. I have been without the use of my refrigerator throughout this process and have had to purchase a temporary replacement out of my own pocket. I expected this warranty to provide real protection when I needed it most, but my experience has been extremely disappointing due to the lack of communication and meaningful resolution. Meh. Not super impressed yet. They had half my info. Gave them the missing info. Said we should be good to go and check email for next step. Then I get an email saying my claim is 'on hold' as they need proof of my purchase and warranty!?! YOU HAD MOST OF MY INFO and confirmed on the phone about the warranty!!! Rep was slightly hard to understand. Was on hold for over 10 minutes before I chose to do the 'call back' when it was my turn. Took a bit for that to happen. Then the actual call took another 11+ minutes. And I had to 'agree' that I'll be responsible for the charges if the problem isn't covered under my warranty?! My dryer isn't heating...! The insured device a DJI Air 3S, approximately two months old experienced a sudden and unexplained loss of power/thrust during normal operation (strong signal, no interference, no pilot error), resulting in the aircraft dropping into water. The water exposure was a direct consequence of this in-flight failure. This is not a discretionary interpretation: This incident constitutes a failure event resulting in damage. It is not a voluntary loss, misuse, or negligence-based scenario. Your current classification appears to disregard the actual sequence of events and lacks any clear, data-supported justification. A generalized denial is not sufficient. I called today to open a claim as my washer is not working. I am not hopeful that they will be able to fix it. My overall experience with this company is 1 star. The person taking down the information opens the claim (he was very nice and gets 5 stars for answering the phone) but now I have to wait 1 to 3 business days while "they review my claim" - so 1 to 3 business days without my washer while my claim goes through an unnecesary review. My last experience with this company was that they assigned me to a warranty repair service that took weeks for an appointment. - they have no parts on them so they ran a diagnostic. They ordered the parts - which in my case were incorrect. So they had to reorder them. 2 MONTHS later they had the right parts, fixed it, only they didn't fix it. I called the claim company back but since 30 days had passed they said I had to open and pay again for a new claim to fix an issue that should have been fixed already. read more

Terrible Experience - Stay Away from Consumer Priority Services (CPS) I've been waiting since January for CPS to fix my brand-new, expensive stove, and it's now been over 5 months with no resolution. The parts are on backorder, and CPS refuses to do anything to help. They actually told me that even if it takes a year, I just have to wait! I've been without a stove all this time, spending extra money eating out and trying to manage without a working kitchen. CPS clearly does not care about their customers or the inconvenience and financial stress they cause. This is not what I expected when I paid for a warranty that was supposed to give peace of mind. Service was ok but when you purchased an expensive piece of equipment it's at least expected to have a bag to carry it in.

Please be sure you understand your "warranty". The standard warranty works this way: When the warranty is purchased, the amount you spent on the item is "set-aside" for either repair or replacement. If there is an issue with the product during the term of the warranty, you must first agree to a service call, which will be arranged by CPS. If the repair works, great, you have a working product. However, if the repair does not fix the problem, they will keep spending your "set a-side" until it is gone or the repair tech says it can't be fixed. When you get to that point, CPS will offer you a settlement of what is left in your "set a-side". If that is $300 on a $2,000 item, that's what you get. Obviously, that is not enough to replace the item. Just be aware that your "warranty" will never get you a replacement product because they will always spend your "set a-side" funds first to try to fix it. read more

We purchased a 4-year extended warranty from CPS for our LG front loader washing machine. When we required repair, they sent an incompetent service tech who further damaged our machine. We hired a reputable repair company we previously used for a different appliance and ended up incurring over $650 in part and repair costs to fix the machine. This is in addition to the money we paid for the warranty. CPS now refuses to respond to our repeated attempts at reimbursement. We have pics of the damage and the repair. I don't understand these positive reviews - CPS stole our money and left us with a broken machine. CPS has cost us over $1,000 for absolutely no services. This is outright theft. BUYER BEWARE! We will NEVER purchase another warranty again. Total scam. CPS offers people additional warranty coverage if they post a positive review on Google and Amazon. Positive reviews are posted from people who have never had to file a claim or request a repair. Don't be scammed by this company! They well warranties that are absolutely fraudulent. We filed a claim 3 months ago on our leaky washing machine by Bosch. We have had two separate service visits to diagnose and have been waiting ever since (over two months) for approval. Now we are are simply paying for the unit to be fixed out of pocket since the warranty is a fraud and has cost us thousands in taking time off work to meet with the repairman, and laundry service while we wait for it to get fixed. I got a CPS 10 year extended warranty on a GE window AC. It failed within the first year. GE sent me a replacement with no hassle. However, CPS refused to apply the 10 year warranty to the new AC. They say that the warranty only covers the original unit. I escalated this and pleaded my case to no avail. Basically, my 10 year warranty is worthless. In July 2013 I purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator with a five year extended Warranty through CPS through July 2018. When I filed my latest claim in November 2017, this was the response from CPS "Previous claim expenses are equal to or have exceeded the current value of the device. Consumer Priority service has reached its maximum liability for this warranty. Our liability is limited to the the original price of the covered equipment. This agreement is terminated at the point total repair costs reach the lower of the original purchase price as indicated on your bill of sale or the current fair market value of the covered item. We apologize for prior incorrect email stating your unit was under manufacturer's warranty. However, prior expenses have already reached our maximum liability for this unit." None of this was information was provided at the time they accepted my payment in full :( read more
