So, when my laptop recently broke down, I was in bits because I thought it was all over. I didn't have the money to purchase a brand new laptop so I had to find a way to fix the problem. The problem I had was that the laptop was over heating and it seemed that there was a huge virus on my system. So, I decided not to use a local computer repair shop- I decided to go all the way to Selly Oak because I'd once again been recommended this place by my very helpful network of friends. According to them, this was the place to get all your computer problems fixed; so I thought I'd try it out. I also didn't have much money to spend on getting the problem fixed; so was even happier when I was told it would only cost me £50 for a full repair and software update. My laptop did work after they fixed it and it's been in full working condition ever since I went there. It no longer over-heats and I had new virus updates installed on my laptop. Overall, a fantastic service from a local Selly Oak establishment!!

After several failed…read moreattempts to resolve the problem myself, the person/s on the help number given to me and tasked by the provider to help me came up with "I have sent you an email with your authentication code". I gave up and took my laptop and my problem to Peter at "PC Clinic". I don't think I could have made a better decision. Peter had to do battle with robots and human agents. This went on for a number of days with time spent answering the same questions and explaining, in the simplest terms, the problem I was having. Peter persevered and finally I received a phone call from someone higher up my supplier chain with a brain and in 5 minutes problem solved and back online. I think Peter went above and beyond in his efforts to solve my problem. He not only solved my problem but also gave me advice on browser choice and my computer security and lots of general information around care and use of my computer. I cannot praise Peter enough. He has a friendly approach to the customer, he is very knowledgeable, nothing seems to be too much trouble. In my opinion he gives value for money. So, would I recommend PC Clinic? 200% YES. MH Computers have been absolutely wonderful at diagnosing and rebuilding my PC. My computer was…read moreoriginally a CyberPower pre-built I purchased during lockdown and failed catastrophically just outside their 2-year parts warranty. I'd had issues with the machine for a while (a dodgy rear USB port fried two peripherals and the HDD casing was broken since I got it), but when I purchased a new PSU and installed it, the whole rig up and died. I ended up reaching out and bringing my machine to MH Computers for diagnostics and whatever repair was necessary. Mick was incredibly friendly and fantastically honest with me. He kept in close contact all throughout the extensive process, being open and honest about my options as we uncovered more issues at each stage. He has been nothing but lovely and helpful the whole time, and I cannot recommend him enough. It had turned out CyberPower had initially sold me a really cheap and dodgy PSU, which had fried not only my motherboard but my expensive Ryzen 9 CPU as well. Mick ended up basically rebuilding the whole rig for me in the end, working with me to make sure I got everything just how I wanted. He even remembered that at drop off I'd said I wanted to rescue some of the stickers on my old case and made sure that was returned to me! The new machine is beautiful and quiet and works like a dream. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would! I can also confirm his service LGBTQ+ friendly as I am Non-Binary and was open during conversations about my LGBTQ+ partner.
