Braised pork belly and tofu skin
    Cecilia L.

Food 3.75/5 Service 3.75/5 Ambiance 3.75/5 Value 3/5 Decent experience if you order the right things at Crab House / Xie Bao. Here's what we tried: Crab Roe over Noodles (4/5): Generous amount of crab roe and overall very tasty Crab Roe Pan-Fried Buns (4/5): Much more enjoyable than the soup dumplings. Packed with meat and had an ok amount of juice inside Braised Pork Belly and Tofu Skin (4.25/5): A pleasant surprise! The pork belly was exceptionally tender and clearly the star of the dish. The tofu skin was just okay, but the pork made it worth ordering Blue Crab Vermicelli (3.75/5): The noodles lacked a bit of flavor and there wasn't much crab meat, though that's somewhat expected with blue crab Crab Roe Soup Dumplings (3/5): I liked that they were meaty, but there was sadly no soup inside, which was disappointing Black Pepper Beef Cubes (2.5/5): The beef was fairly tough, and the sauce was weird. Didn't really go well Peking Duck (2.5/5): Would skip this next time. Both the meat and skin were tough and dry Crab Roe Meatball (2/5): Couldn't really taste the crab roe here. And meatball wasn't impressive

Come here from time to time for a quick dinner after grocery shopping at the Hmart in the same parking lot. I tried their crab roe items previous thanks to the social media hype, but enjoyed their other menu items a bit more (maybe because I've only recently stopped being allergic to crab). The salted crispy chicken was delicious and the wontons were great too! The fish soup for the wontons were very milky (reminded me of bone broth but eith fish) and the wontons didn't have too much stuffing. The bandana noodles were good too, just wished it was spicier. The restaurant has pretty good food, and it is situated in a competitive asian plaza - where there's not much car space, but numerous food options.

Great food and everything we ordered was delicious. We were a group of ten so we shared a variety of dishes. We also went early as we were told it can get busy on the weekends. They give you some peanuts and pickled radish to snack on. Ordering is easy using the kiosk provided on the table. The noodles and soup dumplings were perfect. The crab toe over rice or noodles were outstanding and was the highlight of our meal. Would return to enjoy this dish again. The sizzling tofu was tasty and soft, another favorite of mine. Hubby's favorite was the peking duck. Dishes come out one at a time. Highly recommend this place.

    Braised beef soup

I love the relaxing, welcoming atmosphere of this restaurant. The fried fish appetizer was absolutely delicious--perfectly crispy, flavorful, and not greasy at all. The braised beef soup was equally wonderful: rich, tasty, and so comforting. This has become one of my favorite go-to places, whether I'm unwinding after a hard day at work or enjoying a leisurely weekend afternoon. The service is excellent and prompt!

Crab House (connected to Fish House) is one of those spots getting a lot of buzz online, especially for their crab roe over rice and noodles--and yes, the hype is real. We got both versions, and they absolutely delivered. The roe sauce is rich, briny, and deeply savory, coating every bite of rice and noodles with a luxurious, ocean-y umami. It's bold but well-balanced--definitely a standout. We also ordered the acorn squirrel fish, which reminded us of a sweet-and-sour whole fish. Super crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with a bright, tart sauce that had just the right kick. Really flavorful and satisfying. They do offer a seafood boil here, which we didn't get this time, but it looked and smelled amazing at nearby tables--something we'd come back for. The glass noodles with crab, however, didn't quite match the rest. The noodles were soft and infused with mushroom flavor, which was a bit overpowering, and the crab itself didn't add much--barely any meat and not a ton of impact. Just OK. Ambience is minimal but clean. Not a lot of frills, but it works. Service was alright--not rude, but a bit inattentive. We had to follow up on rice we ordered with the fish, which took a while to arrive. All in all, a strong 4 stars. A few misses, but the crab roe dishes and that sweet & sour-style fish are worth coming for. We'll be back.

The crab is very good and the jellyfish is nice and exotic, the coconut cold brew is kinda light but is still good and the place is pretty nice

The food is definitely delicious and flavorful. Although the pricing is higher than expected, but it's worth a try. Besides the crab meat noodle, I actually really like the soup rice. It was sweet and great seafood taste. The service was good. Waiter was very friendly and gave some suggestions since we're first time guests there. This would be a place I would return back.

Crab Roe Soup Buns. They do not need any sauce.

This restaurant is a new addition to the plaza, and we were curious to try it out. The owners also run Wu's Fish House next door, and they share the same kitchen. We ordered crab roe soup dumpling buns and crab roe tofu over rice. While waiting, we were given appetizers: peanuts, pickled radishes, and marinated cloud ears, with the latter standing out the most. After a lengthy wait, I asked about our order, and the waitress apologized, explaining they had limited cooks. We finally received the crab roe tofu over rice, which my husband and I shared. The flavor was delicious, but the mushy rice was disappointing. It was also puzzling that our appetizers were served after our main entree. We waited a while, sipping tea ($3) before the waitress brought out the soup dumplings. The dumplings were very good, with on-point flavor. I recommend not using the fish sauce, as it disrupts the delicate taste. The skin was thicker than expected, but the dumplings were still sublime. Although the restaurant offers more than crab roe dishes, we focused on these for our first visit. We were quite happy with our selections. Here are our ratings: -Crab roe soup buns: 4/5 stars -Crab roe tofu over rice: 4/5 stars -Service: 3.5/5 stars -Atmosphere: 3.5/5 stars Overall, we give this place 4/5 stars and plan to revisit to try other dishes.

Attractive Shanghai style food! Didn't order the signature crab roe over rice or noodles since it is pretty pricey and I am not a big fan of crab. However those dishes I oreded really bring me back to southern China! Shanghai and Jiangsu area. Miss the food in China so much. This is great.

Our party was situated downstairs at a nice round table. This really helped us share the seafood tower and pass clams around. Our group ordered the small seafood tower, and it was everything I could have dreamed of. It had a little bit of everything. The presentation was flawless. I am still in awe of the lobster. Dinner was also very good. Just about everyone ordered something different, and we left pretty happy. The only issue was the music. I don't know if this is the case for the entire restaurant, but the downstairs had bouncy ukulele covers for the entirety of our time there. It was also a bit too loud. I felt like I had to get up to hear someone sitting a few people away from me, or speak too loud to for shared space because there's a bouncy ukulele covers of Without You by The Kid LAROI. (No, that's not an embellishment. That actually played.) All in all, we had a great time, great food, in a beautiful space. Natalie was a very attentive service. But please, maybe some different music?

I visited Steakhouse 85 for the first time on Thursday, March 19th. We all know the food is fantastic, but what impressed me even more was the employees. When I walked in, I was greeted by the hostess, who had a big smile and bright eyes. She showed us to our table swiftly, and during our time there, her smile and warm welcome continued as she greeted other incoming diners. Our waiter appeared quickly with the first question would you like something to drink, water, etc. After the initial greeting, and now ready to take our order, he excitedly told us he had the pleasure of tasting most of the items he suggested. His excitement about the food he had the "pleasure of tasting" (his words) was apparent. Also, I had the pleasure of speaking to Monica, a manager at Steakhouse 85. She was kind, thoughtful, insightful, and well spoken. I could easily see why she holds that position and could have talked to her as I would a good friend. How a great manager like Monica gets those around them to react positively is by example; in other words, it's the ripple effect. It is easy to see that she is the type of person who, no matter what she does or where she goes in life, success will follow. Also, I want to say thank you to the owner and all the managers because hiring the right employees, from the cooks, busboys, and servers, is not an easy job in itself. The key to success is not just about the food; it's also the employees who add to the establishment's success! Great Job To All Of You! Kindness should never be taken for granted these days! Frances
