For appetizers, we tried the red shrimp which were cooked to perfection-and I'm not exaggerating. They were moist and tender, plump, and delicious. We ordered a number of the specials including the sheepshead and line snapper - delicious. Sides were also very good including the cilantro lime rice, tomato/cucumber salad, and coleslaw. Royal Red Shrimp have changed my life! I thought shrimp was shrimp until Mark explained these are sweet and taste more like lobster. Don't just gobble them down, so good you'll want to savor each one! Instead of Old Bay, you'll find J. O. seasoning on the table. The rice was great, lemony and quite tasty, plantains were nicely caramelized and fried, the fish was ok the crab topping had lotsa shell pieces I eventually pushed it off due to so many hard shell pieces. Worst seafood restaurant in Stuart! I didn't expect much in terms of atmosphere but I did expect edible seafood. We had the crab cakes. Hardly recognizable as a crab cake. Chunks of crab with oozy bread crumbs that was falling apart on the plate. I shouldn't of even eaten it based on the looks of it but I gave it a try. I felt sick afterwards. The conch chowder was ok but very bland. They never brought the shrimp. The server was pleasant. Only good thing to say. Go to Neptunes, 2 George's or Shrimper's. read more

Outstanding! We are big fans. Our first time at Crabby's. There are some similarities between the Crabby s in Jensen and the one in Port Salerno. Red Royal shrimp for one. Perfectly prepared, sweet and well seasoned. Butter on the side to dip. I could have eaten a pile. They were the definition of perfection. Special of the day was sea bass with the red royal shrimp on top in a spatular butter, lemon wine sauce. Cilantro rice on the side with a tomato cucumber side. Exacting is my best description. Execution was fantastic. Meltingly amazing. I had the pasta with shrimp and scallops. Great portion well seasoned. Scallops seared with caramel finish and shrimp extraordinaire. Had been to its predecessor a few times over the years but had heard it had changed owners and its name. I am not a fan of crab so I hadn't been to Gettin Crabby but someone put me on to the fact that they now served New England style whole belly fried clams. This review is strictly about their fried whole belly clam dinner. The other people I was with had blue crab and crab legs and were very happy. I moved here from Cape Cod in 1978. For decades it was impossible to get fried whole belly clams here. Then, Jazzy's Mainly Lobster in Cocoa Beach and New England Eatery in south Melbourne Beach started serving New England seafood, including the clams, 20 or so years ago. Unfortunately, both are 30+ miles from me. That is why I was happy to hear that Getting Crabby, just 5 miles or so from me, now sold fried whole belly clams. Sadly, I was greatly disappointed. First off, they were either over cooked or their oil was old and dirty. Fried clams should be a light gold color. Theirs were brown. Second, their batter was spicy. I suspect, do not know, that they may use the same batter they use for more spicey fried food such as fish or shrimp. Finally, they were served with cocktail sauce. Any self-respecting New Englander knows that clams are served with tartar sauce, not cocktail sauce. The saving grace was they had it when I asked for it. For the three reasons listed above I cannot recommend their clam dinner. I will give them one more try hoping it was just an off night but am not hopeful read more

Port Salerno - We initially learned of this place on Check Please. Ok, so it's not upscale, tablecloth fine dining with assistance from a sommelier. It is a very clean, casual, comfortable restaurant serving fresh seafood with a beachy vibe. This is not your typical beach joint serving fried this and that! We began with the perfectly cooked Red Royal shrimps app special. Entrees were crab cakes- 2 generous patties filed with jumbo crabmeat, and mahi-mahi, equally generous size filet nicely prepared. Chilled Pinot Grigio was the perfect accompaniment. Finally, we shared a delicious, light rum cake for dessert. Meg, our server was friendly, cheerful, efficient and did an excellent job. We recently moved to Stuart and love seafood. We tried a few times to eat here unsuccessfully due to lack of parking. But once we figured out the additional spaces available nearby, we finally made it in. Can I just tell you to go here and enjoy the experience! Our first time there, we sat at the bar and met Mark, the owner. He brought us several samples to help us make up our minds. The food here is truly wonderful! Get the Red Rock Shrimp appetizer! They are fantastic and almost taste like NE lobster. The crab cake sandwich is phenomenal! Everything we have tried has been great. I even tried a hamburger because I read somewhere that the beef was even out of this world here! Well I can confirm that the burger was amazing! Cooked to perfection and very tasty! Easily missed nestled in Stuart, FL, Gettin' Crabby is really a hole in the wall! Coworkers and I stopped in for lunch and we were blown away! Items we got were the crab bisque, Argentina red shrimp appetizer, bacon wrapped scallop burger, and fresh catch of the day. The bisque was so good, I don't doubt they slapped an 'award winning' or 'world's best' sticker on it. Shrimp appetizer was fresh and juicy. I did not get to try the burger but colleague said it was great. My entree was the fresh fish of the day and I cannot remember what it was other than delicious!
