We tried this place since it's nearby, lots of parking and easy to spot from the street The service was quite fast ... LOVED THE TACO wsp the tortilla since it was soft and tasted great so definitely will come back for the other tacos The burrito looked good but we didn't really enjoy how much liquid came from it as we were eating it - see photos - so if you're a fast eater, great, not so great if you're not bc the end of the burrito gets pretty soggy. Not sure if it's from the pico de gallo or the tri tip. Mm also the tri tip was a bit tough and not as grilled as we'd thought it'd be Otherwise great place to try

If you're doing keto, this place is a must. I got the Tri Tip burrito and it was fire it has so much flavor and the cheese shell tortilla was cooked to perfection. It's a little greasy, but that's just the cheese; nothing over the top. 10/10 for a keto burrito! they really do it right. I tried the Adobada keto burrito too, but I wasn't as big a fan. Still good, just prefer the Tri Tip. A few notes: Plenty of parking and a spacious dining area with lots of tables. Great customer service. Prices are average. I can only vouch for the keto burritos; I haven't tried anything else on the menu. Bonus: you can phone in your order, which is super convenient.

I have the tri-tip taco and the pork one and they were very good. The tri-tip line had a little bit of fat on it, but otherwise it was very good. The lady was very helpful and very kind and patient while I was unable to make up my mind.. I'm very grateful for her! I ordered a chocolate cake but left it in my car so I had to throw it away

Try this place again. It had really good reviews on GrubHub. Ordered one of their breakfast burritos went in to pick up because GrubHub said it was ready. It was not. I still had to wait an additional 10 minutes. No big deal. But while I was there, three people came in as a group they did not know how to use the screen to order an English was not their primary language. Worker there who, btw spoke spoke Spanish, told him to just use the screen and then proceeded to ignore them for the full 10 minutes that I was there waiting for my food. The group left upset for obvious reasons. Breakfast burrito itself was terrible. It was mostly cheese. The sausage was dry. It had about four pieces of potato. Save your money go somewhere. We're at least the customer service is there.

Been living in the area for some time and decided to try this place out. There's plenty of parking but it can definitely get crowded during meal rushes. The staff were friendly and helpful for our first visit. Originally, we avoided this location because the menu was a bit pricey for the type of food served, but they definitely pack the tacos! We ended up sitting outside but there's more seating inside. Overall, we enjoyed the tacos and the restaurant altogether!

First off, just want to say that the staff here is great. Walked in with a warm greeting and everyone was super nice and helpful. Ordered the Birria and crack taco and would definitely recommend getting the tri tip anything on the menu as the beef was amazing. The rolled tacos were solid. Will be back to try more menu items but overall, a great place.

Not many taco shops offer tri-tip as the cut of meat for their carne asada. CRACK Taco Shop uses Cardiff Crack Tri-Tip which was why I decided to drive over to the Grantville neighborhood and visit the OG location. The suite was located at the Valley Del Rio Shopping Center just north of I-8 at the Fairmount Ave exit. The parking situation was decent with most of the vehicles out front patronizing the Starbucks across the lot. The inside was clean with sufficient seating for a few dozen customers while several more tables were set up outside. The menu screen was to the left as you walked through the doors. Burritos, tacos, bowls, salads, nachos, fries... you name it, they had some version available. I decided to pick three tacos, each of which was topped with onion, guacamole, and cilantro. The Crack Taco was made of burgundy pepper tri-tip, the Al Pastor was marinated pork cooked with pineapple on the rotisserie, and the Battered Fish consisted of cod. The corn tortillas used here were thicker than what I was accustomed, but they were very soft which was good. The toppings were fresh and tasty. The tacos were street size with my favorite being the crack version because of the well-seasoned tri-tip. The cod was a surprisingly solid version of a fish taco. I gave a four star rating for my dining experience at CRACK Taco Shop.

I was impressed with the homemade tortillas for the tacos! The green salsa has a good taste/spice. The rolled tacos were good too. We got tortilla chips and they were average. Overall a good spot!

Had the crack breakfast burrito and it was great. We were looking for a burrito and as a reminder I don't like breakfast. But one of the locals In front of me told me to hit that crack hard. So how can I turn down a local. The steak was so good and the potatoes and missed in there were incredible. I would love to try the rest of the menu when I have time.

Gotta drop a star because I went recently and it just wasn't that good. Large parking lot shared with other businesses next to a car wash. Be careful of the Starbucks drivers, they speed around to get into the drive through. Lot gets extra full during dinner. Tried: Crack bowl $20 - paid $2 extra for guacamole and there really wasn't that much. Meat was okay, some chewy. Lettuce was odd, a mixed greens type that didn't work. There was so much corn and not enough rice. Salsa's were excellent. I might be back for their breakfast.

We had not been to crack taco shop in years, but I remember going years ago when BB lived in Mission Gorge when we were still dating, and I remember it being real good. So we went back years later to try it (December 2025). And I am happy to report that it is still as good as I remember. It is located in a business plaza with out restaurants and a Chilis, plenty of parking. When we went, around 5 or 6 on a weekday, there were no other customers. We ordered the tri tip nachos, an adobada (pork) burrito, and two beverages. I love how they have the "ole" brand drinks such as orange bang and horchata. Those never dissapoint. They give you 3 bottles of hot sauce to use to your heart's delight when you dine in. That is always a plus. The nachos were the star of the show. They use a liquid nacho cheese in lieu of the standard shredded. Chips were very fresh and crispy, tri tip was awesome. This is the holy grail of nachos! Would pass on the adobada burrito next time though. Not sure if it was one off, but it was soggy, very spicy, and just didn't hit the mark. Last time it was great. WIll try it again for a 3rd time. Regardless, spent 40 dollars on enough food for 2 and leftovers, and was very satisfied. Will definitely return!

Their food is absolutely disgusting. There is no care or attention given to the preparation of the food. It's a complete mess.

Ask the Community - Crack Taco Shop

    Is there a drive-thru here?

Negative - no drive through. But you can call in the orders ahead of time......

Do the beans or rice have chicken stock/beef stock or lard in them?

Anyone know why they say open for breakfast at 7:00, but I've been by after 7:00 and they're always closed?

It's a mistake on their behalf. It's ok but expensive

Do they have Taco Tuesday deals?

No, I called and that said they currently don't but working on it and will possibly have it in the next few weeks.

Gluten-free/soy-free/dairy-free options? I know corn tortilla is gluten free but how about the meat…

My girlfriend is gluten-free and dairy-free, and loves their shrimp and grilled fish tacos. The rice and beans are also great, no cheese or butter used.

    Gluten free options?

Pretty sure tacos are gluten free, right? Corn tortillas are usually gluten free. They make the corn tortillas onsite, so maybe you could request them to use new gloves that haven't touched the flour tortillas.

Are their churros fresh made or frozen?

    Frozen

    Is there Vegan options?

They have potato and cactus tacos; you may need to ask them to remove the cheese. They have veggie nachos but you will need to have them not add cheese

    Anything gluten free?

Crack Fries, Crack Nachos, pretty much any of the tacos, rice, beans. Just avoid anything with a flour tortilla.

I stopped by on a Wednesday after a fútbol game and found it to be a great late-night option…read more Ordering is simple. You walk in, place your order at the counter, and find a seat. There were a couple of groups dining in and someone picking up a to-go order, but there was still plenty of seating available. The employee working the counter was friendly. They also serve alcohol, and during my visit drinks were 20% off. Options included Pacifico, Modelo, Blue Moon, hard seltzers, and a selection of canned craft beers. I ordered: * Mahi Mahi Taco: the fish tasted fresh, and I liked the crispy onions on top. There was quite a bit of sauce, which made it pretty messy to eat. While the fish was good, it felt like a very heavy taco overall. * Surf & Turf Taco: this was loaded with steak and topped with two flavorful shrimp. The shrimp had an amazing flavor, and this taco was much more enjoyable and balanced. Overall, the service was great, the prices were very reasonable, and the protein quality was excellent. My only critique is that the tacos felt a little overdone with toppings and sauces when the quality of the protein could easily stand on its own. Still, it's a solid spot for an affordable late-night bite. One thing to note: there are no restrooms available inside the restaurant.
