The most prejudice place to eat. They hire young black children to work as a front. When you walk in they seat you separate from the Caucasian are eating but off to yourself. Just finished an early dinner at Cracker Barrel. I ordered the the Cod dinner. Added a cup of soup. The menu clearly states you can add a cup of soup to any entree for $1.99. They tried to charge me $4.59 and the manager said that they had to do that because it came with to sides and if we wanted the soup as an addition, they would have to charge full price for the other side. I told the manager that didn't make any sense She went in the back and came back with a corrected check. No apology, no nothing. This location on this day was busy a d short staffed. We got seated right away and then waited as we didnt see a server for about 20 minutes until a manager came by and took our drink order. Then 10 minutes later our server appeared. After that, everything was smooth. Our food came out quickly and our server always checked to ensure we were ok. I dined here years ago and recently visited around 11am on a Friday. My, how has this place changed! The menu was extensive, to include some beer and wine options. Breakfast is served all day, but the lunch menu looked really good. I struggled with making a decision. I was shocked that the unlimited biscuits are no longer a thing here. Only certain meals get biscuits, and even then, they're not refilled. Our server was nice enough to bring us some even though they didn't come with the breakfast items that we ordered. I had the Grandma's Sampler and everything was good except the ham. It had a weird taste and I wondered if it was spoiled. Live and learn, they say. And, that might sum up my lunch today at this Cracker Barrel. I try to keep my reviews positive, and in this case, I'm positive this was a bad meal. It's Lent and Friday, so I ordered the catfish dinner. The first piece of catfish looked OK, so i broke off a piece and found that whoever had cleaned and prepped the fish did a truly bad job. There were gobs of the gooey, fatty, fishy tasting parts left on the filet that should have been cut off. I worked my way past that and had a couple bites before the thought of it drove me to the other filet. I broke it in half and it was just SLIMY.....and not appetizing, no matter how much crispy coating there was on it. I had a side of green beans which were obviously dumped out of a can an boiled till they were just mush. I love hush puppies, and ate one of them, but had lost my appetite and pushed the plate back. I was done..... They may make good pancakes, but it'll be a while before I feel like trying them. read more

I always look for the holiday decorations when I enter Cracker Barrel. They always go above and beyond. This location was no different. We walked into a Christmas theme store front. The tree was huge and nicely decorated. It really did set the tone. We dined in and had breakfast. Terri our waitress was very pleasant and gave us the right amount of attention. We both had a light breakfast of eggs and bacon. We enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The restaurant is practicing safety by having the tables separated and there is available hand sanitizer for customer use. read more

Manager was nasty af to me on the phone, refused to believe the food was bad even though you can SEE the photos. I contacted corporate. Corporate tells me they'll give me a refund. Then ghosts me and never gives me a refund. It takes MONTHS to get in contact with higher ups at corporate who tells me that nope, they absolutely can't refund me, the store has to do that. Store WON'T do that. So I'm out 40 bucks and have rancid food, and I guess I just hope that 40 bucks was worth losing a customer that literally went there all the time /shrug. But yeah. Corporate pretty much yanked my chain around and interestingly the woman who had been talking to me through corporate suddenly vanished and directly after I had some fraud charges on my card. Just seems super sus to me. My Original Review: "We ordered through waitr in 12/1/21. My chicken and dumplings came exactly as the photo appears. I would imagine that covid and finding employees is the problem. Can only give a 2 star rating this year. In 2019 I would have given them a 5 star rating. I thought they were very well managed, but lately I think most restaurants are having problems with staff and suppliers. Driving back from visiting another city, I was getting hungry, and I do love a good Cracker Barrel. I pulled over, this was right off the exit. Easy to pull in and park. Large parking lot. I walked in and to the hostess stand and was seated properly. Everything seemed clean. I got the chicken and dumplings with fresh fruit and green beans. Everything was just the right temperature. The general store had all of the proper things needed. The service was good, the refills on the iced tea kept flowing, and a good time was had. Okay so soooo many things. Our party of 15 ate there last night, and so many things that COULD have been prevented went wrong.... 1st, we called a week in advance to say we are coming to which the person that answered responded, "we don't take reservations." Okay, no problem, just thought you guys might want a heads up that it would be a busy night for you guys to generate a lot of profit from our table, ya know?Anyways.... 2nd, we get there, and at first, it's a 30 to 45 minute wait. Again, no problem! Big table, small amount of servers, I get it! I was a server for 4 years, so COMPLETELY understand. Almost an hour and a half later, the hostess says "well our back dining room is wide open, so we can get you guys sat back there...." I saw that dining room was open this whole time but I figured just be patient and tables will open. One couple with a car seat and newborn, and myself with a heavy 1 year old, that 1+ hour long wait was nuts to go sit in a spot that was open the entire time. 3rd, we all sit and that's going okay, UNTIL we learn y'all are out of EVERYTHING How does that happen? A week before Thanksgiving, clearly, yall are busy (two 6-tops and a 7-top that was there just before us), so YOU KNOW that supply is everything for this time of the year.... AND WE CALLED... AS A HEADS UP. 4th, we all ended up finding something else to eat since the menu was significantly reduced. The waitress is a BOSS at her job, by the way! She was doing great, especially being by herself, so kudos to her! Just a side note. We get the serving of grits to feed our son, and there's freaking beans in the grits... I get my drink and the aftertaste of y'alls Cherry Coke tastes like bong water.... Whatever! I'll switch to sweet tea, and now we know either 1. The pans aren't thoroughly washed before their used or 2. The kitchen doesn't pay attention when they're slinging food into bowls. Got it. 5th, throughout the duration of our meal, an older lady wearing mainly white kept coming back to the part of the dining room we were in and kept STARING us down. As if we had done something wrong and needed to be closely monitored. All of us noticed and thought maybe she was the owner? Either way, ma'am, if you see this, next time, please keep your eyeballs to yourself and watch on the security cameras next time. That was creepy how you stared at us the whole time, especially since we have children and like I said, we had done nothing wrong! I felt uncomfortable the whole time you sat there staring at us and our kids. The mess-ups were not our doing, but YOUR supply issue and poor management of time, was. 6th, multiple peoples food was cold by the time we got it.... ‍ 7th, it's my fault, but I left my sons silicone suction plate there, and rather than someone, pick it up and stick it in the office, it was thrown away..... Our group was willing to buy A LOT. Full course meals, alcohol, desserts, and appetizers. You name it. The MULTIPLE problems that happened put a sour taste in our mouths, and at this point, we won't be returning. That's a LOT of money that the restaurant won't be seeing again because of stupid mistakes that could have been prepared for. Like I said, I've been a server for A LONG time, and we had things in place to prevent issues like this from happening. I'm rating a 2, as compared to a 1, because our server was so good! Otherwise, I urge you to re-examine your business model and how the business operates close to Holiday season. Don't advertise all of the fancy items if you won't have the fancy items.... when a party calls in a WEEK ahead of schedule, maybe like, I don't know, take heed? Recognize that other big tables are PROBABLY coming in too and plan your food supply for that? Just friendly suggestions because otherwise, I don't see how things are run smoothly without hiccups. read more

It's hard for me to give Cracker Barrel anything less than five stars. I gave this one three because they were completely out of jelly! There was no sweet jelly of any kind of any flavor in the whole restaurant. If your specialty is biscuits and jelly then don't run out of jelly. The food was usual quality no complaints there. I stop here on the way back home from Baton Rogue. My waitress was friendly and very helpful explaining to me how to order since it was my first time there. The free biscuit and corn bread were ok. I enjoy the biscuit, but thought their corn bread was VERY dry. I had to drink a lot of water to wash it down. I order the steak which was cooked to my liking. The sides were ok. Nothing special about it, but it did have the home-made taste which was fine by me. My sister order the country fried steak. She said it was one of the best she had along with the corn. For the amount of food they give you the price is very reasonable. It's actually cheap, but I'm not complaining, lol. I will definitely stop here again if I'm in the mood for a home cook meal for a reasonable price. read more

I love Cracker Barrel. I recommend the chicken fried chicken or steak, Mac n cheese and dumplings. I have never eaten breakfast here but my husband loves it. Every time we go camping a Jellystone park we stop here on the way. They have camper parking in the back of the restaurant which is great for me and a big plus in my book. read more

How do you ruin breakfast? My eggs were rubbery and unedible, I first thought they had put a piece of plastic and with my eggs. The Grits were scorched and the hash brown casserole was just weird tasting. I am fairly regular at Cracker Barrel but this location did not impress me at all. Normally when you get country ham you get a huge ham steak today I got to little size of country ham which probably is what you get when you order the sampler. I guess everybody's cutting back and Grandma's country cooking is too. I left Cracker Barrel and went to McDonald's where my eggs were cooked perfectly. Saved quite a few dollars in the process. Older people should NOT go here. On 11/29/2020 there were 11 different people in the store section NOT wearing masks when it is mandatory in our state due to the pandemic. When I asked to speak to a manager, he took a long time and replied he couldn't do anything because he's not an "enforcer". He said he'd only call the police if there was an altercation. If he'd come sooner he would have seen a burly 6ft tall man yelling at me about his rights, when he heard me complain to an employee. (I'm a 5'5" woman.) To top it off a woman without her mask came after me when I asked her to step back 6 feet so I could exit. She chased me outside, in the parking lot yelling at me. Worst Hamburger Steak EVER!!! The breakfast here is always good. However, this was my first visit to have lunch. I ordered the hamburger steak and as soon as I got it I regretted it.
