For dinner, I requested the Tuesday special Chicken Fried Pork Chops but was told they just sold the last one. I selected my second choice of Fried Catfish Fillets with a Loaded Baked Potato but was told they are out of Baked Potatoes. Now I'm 0 for 2! After paying, I noticed the Loaded Baked Potato upcharge of $1.99 was on my bill! Now I'm charged for an item I didn't receive.

I dined here years ago and recently visited around 11am on a Friday. My, how has this place changed! The menu was extensive, to include some beer and wine options. Breakfast is served all day, but the lunch menu looked really good. I struggled with making a decision. I was shocked that the unlimited biscuits are no longer a thing here. Only certain meals get biscuits, and even then, they're not refilled. Our server was nice enough to bring us some even though they didn't come with the breakfast items that we ordered. I had the Grandma's Sampler and everything was good except the ham. It had a weird taste and I wondered if it was spoiled. Overall, the vibe of this location was a bit off but I'll continue to dine at other Cracker Barrel locations in the future.

It's hard to come to the Cracker Barrel, and not have a great experience. The food is always awesome. The idea of a retail store is a brilliant concept. I've never had a bad experience with.

This is supposed to be chicken tenders,

I ordered chicken tenders and got a few pieces of fried skin, no meat Not coming back

It's always a great experience I left my sunglasses. I returned and they had them in the front for me. I truly appreciate them. They are my favorite ones.

    Beautiful Decorations.

I always look for the holiday decorations when I enter Cracker Barrel. They always go above and beyond. This location was no different. We walked into a Christmas theme store front. The tree was huge and nicely decorated. It really did set the tone. We dined in and had breakfast. Terri our waitress was very pleasant and gave us the right amount of attention. We both had a light breakfast of eggs and bacon. We enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The restaurant is practicing safety by having the tables separated and there is available hand sanitizer for customer use.

Just what you expect from a Cracker Barrel. Love the biscuits. The fried apples were delicious and the service was good.

We tried Boudin Balls that were stuffed (with cheese) and the regular. They were both outstanding but I'd say maybe the ones without cheese were better. It's hard to say because they were both very good. The smoked boudin was better in my opinion only because the casing dries out a bit it makes it crispy so we of course just ate it whole. The regular boudin has a casing that isn't crispy so we chose to just eat the filling. The inside was just as good as the smoked. We only tried the chicken cracklin's and holy cow were they good! Some pieces were real crispy while others were a bit bigger and still had some meat on them. There was a perfect mix up large and small pieces, crispy and not crispy pieces. I wish we had these in Michigan. We brought home some andouille so we could make jambalaya and gumbo. We just cooked some andouille, and it was a little bit spicy and so good. We also brought home some boudin and can't wait to cook that. Be sure to check out their freezer section and take home some different things. This place was such a gem to find! The staff was very friendly and helped us make decisions on exactly what we needed to try since we had never been before. There is seating inside if you're looking to eat there. We just ordered things we could eat on our road trip home as well as things to cook/eat later. I'm only complaint was that the bathroom was not very clean and the toilet didn't flush. That doesn't matter much because you should really be going here for the food! :)

We, a family of 5 traveling from Kentucky to Galveston decided to stop overnight in Hammond. As soon as we arrived, our waitress immediately recognized the pent up energy of a 3 year old cooped up in a car seat for the last 8 hours. She immediately took his his order and had his dinner on the table quickly, occupying his busy hands. She recommended the spinach dip as appetizer with a fried pasta . It was gone in minutes! Great. She then recommended the special, pork loin, that my son devoured! Wife and daughter thoroughly enjoyed the crab cakes. I had trout with almandine sauce. First time eating trout but after eating this, I realized I have missed out! It was outstanding. I recommend everyone coming down I55 should stop and visit Hammond, a very nice small town with all the southern charm you can imagine and a great eating establishment. !

We got here around 8ish in the evening and it was raining so not many people here. So we propped up at the bar and ordered. I was in a martini mood so Gin martinis were my calling; they made them the way I like: slightly dirty w/ extra olives. I can't remember how many of those I ordered but they went down smooth. I didn't want to order anything heavy so I decided on the Brussels Sprouts and a cup of the Chicken/Andouille Gumbo. The Brussels were crispy and had a nice soy glaze to cap it off. They garnished it with some peeled scallions which gives a nice finish. I'm a sucker for Brussels Sprouts; if they're on the menu, I'm very likely gonna order them. The gumbo was pretty good, had a tomato richness to it. I forgot what my friend ordered; probably cause I had too many martinis. It's about a 10-15 minute drive from Hammond but it's worth it. Check it out when you're in the area!
