Absolutely horrible service and the food was nasty. First of all they were out of cabbage, out of stewed, apples, and out of the soup of the day, which was chicken noodle. We had 15 in our group so we had two waitresses one end of the table got drinks and bread while the other end of the table sat there with nothing. Then the other end of the tables food came out we still had nothing had to ask for napkins they gave us no napkins on the table. Then came time for the bills Lord it took them 20 minutes of constantly harassing us about what we had to eat to get the bills correct. I've told myself the last two times I've eaten at Cracker Barrel that I would never go there again this time I went because someone in the group wanted to go. After traveling home on a Sunday afternoon, my family decided to visit this Cracker Barrel Restaurant, and man, we should have gone to our trusty Farmhouse! The service was sorely lacking. The food arrived slowly...after I approached the manager since we hadn't seen our waitress in way too long. The kicker? The food was cold when it arrived. Shocker. Back to the manager. As a non-eating egg person, breakfast places can be challenging. Fortunately, Cracker Barrel offers a large menu. I did not have a problem finding a food choice, nor did I feel I was limited. I chose pecan pancakes with a side of bacon. It was great! Fluffy pancakes with crispy edges. Bacon was cooked to my liking. Our waitress was fabulous. The place was clean and the general store was well stocked. They had a lot of fun stuff to look at, and offer a large selection of unique candies and chocolates. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is a familiar sight across the southeastern United States. This particular location is a decent enough stop. I usually only go for breakfast, but it is in my opinion that breakfast is their best meal that they offer. I also like to wander through their general store. The staff here was friendly enough and this particular Cracker Barrel Old Cracker Barrel has the ambiance that we have come to expect from this brand. I have to start by saying I've never ate at a Cracker Barrel before, and I was kinda looking forward to it. So I took the family down to the Cracker Barrel in Lake Park Georgia, and the experience was something we didn't expect. As we waited for our food, we watched two different tables send their food back to the kitchen because something was wrong, which was not very inspiring. When we got out food, all 5 of us came to the consensus that everything we ordered was absolutely terrible. Think about that for a moment. 5 people order 5 different meals, and nobody was happy with what they were served!? That doesn't happen very often unless something in the back of the house is really messing things up. The service we received from the wait staff was great, it was the only aspect of the meal that wasn't horrible. We were asked how our meal was on the way out the door, and we honestly didn't have the heart to tell the sweet older lady who asked just how utterly disappointed we were. Kinda felt like kicking someone when their down. Can't say I'd ever want to go back to any Cracker Barrel after this experience, we'd probably opt for a iHOP or Waffle House hands down. read more

Was on the road with fam and we stopped at Cracker Barrel before folks got hangry. My parents love this place because it is typically quick service and you can get veggies on the road. We walked in at around 3:30pm on a Saturday which seemed to be a good time as the restaurant was fairly empty. Cassidy was our server, she was aightShe came by and took our drink orders. I tried the pomegranate tea and it was way too sweet for my liking. I switched it out for a regular sweet tea. My brother thought the same thing but just watered his down to make it drinkable. Cassidy came back around to take our food orders. We noticed that others who came after us started getting food before us. We were looking for Cassidy to come with an update but there were none. Our cornbread and biscuits also weren't delivered so we had nothing to lightly coat our stomachs. We were about to get up and go looking for Cassidy and she finally walked out with our food. I got the Lemon Pepper Grilled Rainbow Trout. It was delicious and well seasoned. Other folks with me got the fried chicken and fried haddock. They were less impressed with their meals. I tasted both and agreed. The fried chicken didn't have a good crunch and the fried haddock was more like a super light coating of flour and didn't really taste like haddock. Not something that can be accomplished at other breakfast spots. The coffee is hot and there is usually one server walking around with a hot pot of coffee ready to refill your mug. The biscuits or corn bread adds to the sides that you can nibble or bring home. Yes, taking home left overs is a normal occurrence here. What is a Cracker Barrel visit without a game of checkers? After playing, we took a stroll through their gift shop before going to the hostess. The ladies working in the retail section were friendly and patient. It was moderately popular in the dining area. Our server was K.D. She was very funny and continuously checked up on us throughout the meal. I had the Eggs in a Basket, he the Mama's Breakfast (?) I placed and order to be delivered at 8:30 on 11/12 and got a text that it was going to be deliver at 9:15 45 min later and my meeting started at 9. They clearly lied about my ealier order cause I said no I'll get that food. He stumbled and said "ah ah ah I can't give you that food is to old" clearly lied and never did my order. We stopped in for breakfast. Food is pretty standard for all Cracker Barrel's. The staff was very friendly & courteous.

The last 3 times we have been to this location the food took over 1 hour to be served and it was cold when it came to the table. When we mentioned this to the management and cashier we were told "oh sorry" there was no offer to make it right and I feel as if driving from the other side of Tallahassee Florida for this type of service and food is no longer worth my time. We do not live in Valdosta, but we have eaten at this Cracker Barrel before several years ago passing through. We didn't have a good experience then, but we thought we would give it another shot several years later as we passed through on our way to Florida. We went in with a positive attitude. It was 2:00 on a Wednesday with only a few guests at the time. I'm not sure what was wrong with our server, but she obviously didn't like her job and wasn't interested in a tip. We tried our best to be friendly and nice to her, but the attitude finally got to be too much. She threw our straws down on the table, slid food across the table to my husband, wouldn't respond to our comments, etc... just rude. I am willing to give anyone the benefit of the doubt, but then I saw her be extremely nice to the older couple who came in behind us. Of course their food came out before ours even though we ordered a good 15 min before they were even seated. Ours came out soon after cold and dry. Ever tried to choke down cold, dry dumplings? Then... they encouraged us to fill out the survey on the receipt. I attempted to do that, but stopped when I couldn't move forward without entering my credit card information. Do better, Cracker Barrel.... Especially in your two Valdosta, Ga locations. The reviews do not speak very highly of either location. You might consider sending your management to Ocala, Fl or Houston County, Ga in order to give your customers a better CB experience. read more

Fairly impressed with the food at this location. My review is based on my experiences of other Cracker Barrels, as they seem dominate the niche market for a nice place to stop, shop, eat and refresh while traveling. The staff was friendly. Bathrooms were clean. The food was hot. But more importantly, at least for me, the lettuces used in the salad where fresh and contained only 5% iceberg cheap crap. :). The rest was baby romain, spinach, etc. Their Sunday special fried chicken is the best item on the menu. A unique crisp coating two juicy boneless chicken breasts. Great spot! Cara was our server and she was fantastic. The greeter wasn't too cordial, but Cora more than made up for it. She was very personable and did more than what I'm accustomed to at Cracker Barrel. We got here around 3:30, and it was not busy nor loud, which was nice since we have two little girls. As far as price is concerned, you'd be hard-pressed to pay more than $20 a person, yet the portion sizes are massive, so you'll more than likely have leftovers. My wife ordered the blueberry pancakes, while I had the Saturday special, which was the chicken 'n rice. The portions were more than enough, and the food was great. 2.5 stars is pretty accurate. Ok I'll give them 3. Server was pretty nice. Except when we needed her she was chatting up a group of 6 senior citizen ladies. The food tasted pretty good. The reason for 3 stars was the serving size. I've posted a photo of the grilled chicken tenders my wife got. They were all smaller than normal. But one was so tiny that it barely measured two inches. So, the cook should never have let this leave the kitchen and the server should have been embarrassed to serve it. She should've taken it back to the kitchen and said "Are you kidding? That's so ridiculously small I can't serve that to the customer." We were in the middle of a 16 hour drive and didn't feel like causing a fuss so we didn't say anything. Management needs to be in top of things. Teach the team what is acceptable and what is not. read more

Love eating at Cracker Barrels. Our server, Caleb, was on the ball. Everything just like we asked. (I have a few special dietary requirements.) Drinks kept refilled always. Very important to me, as well. HOWEVER...tonight (7:30) the sides were cold!! Not just room temperature... COLD. The meat (grilled chicken and grilled fish for the two of us) was hot. Makes me think someone dished up the sides without waiting for the grilling to be done. Kitchen was probably cooler than restaurant because one of the managers working the kitchen wore a sweater. read more

First off I'd like to say that i worked at this location before, and their health score is 73 or 76 don't remember exactly but it's posted on the wall in the managers office, it's definitely not a 91. Not to mention they don't properly wash their dishes at all, dish machine beeps when it's out of detergent and it would be beeping all the time and they never refilled it with detergent or sanitizer. Cooks don't use gloves and even one time i saw one of the cooks plate some chicken and baked potatoes and then proceeded to wipe their hands on their dirty apron and continue cooking. One time i also saw a baker put a wooden spoon in the dirty sink, proceeded to grab it back out and rinsed it off with cold water and continued to use it to mix. The place is absolutely disgusting, please never eat here, and the bussers also only wipe the tables off with a hot cloth nothing else. Your dishes are only ran through the dish machine with just hot water nothing else. Not to mention the floor is unbearably disgusting in the kitchen and dish room, Oh and not to mention i saw the cooks wiping their areas down before clocking out and they were getting grease and oil all over the READY TO USE plates below the grill and just left it there, absolutely disgusting place definitely would never eat here and i feel bad for the people that do. read more
