Worse experience ever. When I got my plate my eggs were served wrong, my fruit was disgusting as you can see in the photo and I was missing a whole side that I never received. When told about the mistakes it took a very long time for the eggs to be made over easy and the fruit took a long time to be replaced as well. Giving this Cracker Barrel 3 stars. And the only reason they are getting 3 and not 1 is because of our server. She was awesome. Her name was Mary and she was covering a lot of tables and was super busy but was so friendly and nice. She talked us into the blackberry tea, which we all loved. I ordered eggs, bacon, toast, hash brown casserole and grits. The toast was late to the table and did not come with butter and by the time we got it, my eggs were cold. The grits were bland. Bacon was good. Hash brown casserole was decent. I tried the biscuits and gravy. Gravy has a funny taste. It's hard to rate service when none was given. We walked in on late Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was about a third full. There were at least 6 waitresses that went past us. After 15 minutes of being seated and no one asking for our order, we got up and left. It wasn't like the waitresses were too busy. There were two waiting in the doorway talking to each other. I know they along with the hostess knew we had not been waited on. We live local and frequent local restaurants at least three times a week. Cracker Barrel is being removed from our restaurant rotation. Too many options to be treated this way. read more

It's hard to write a negative review about the server I had tonight. These are kids in there without any common sense. This young lady never checked on the tea to be refilled, I asked for unsweet tea and lemons for the tea. She came with the tea and no lemons. I reminded her and it still went thru that brain fog of hers. The third time she acted like she got offended but finally brought sliced lemons. The water the tea was made in tasted like it has an algae taste to it. I told her I wanted hamburger steak and gravy for my entree. She brings out a dry hamburger steak with no gravy. When I mentioned no gravy, she says they have white and brown gravy. I said give me the brown gravy and it finally came. The food was luke warm at best but overall, the taste was fine. I usually leave a 3-dollar tip for them just showing up to work. Tonight, I left 0. This is the worst Cracker barrel experience I have ever had. Is it the workers fault?? Some of it is. But, in my opinion it is management's fault for not training these young people the correct way to be servers before they turn them out to serve. Then I feel sorry for the management. Look at the selection they have to deal with in today's hiring workforce. Man, I wanted it to be good too so I could go back for breakfast in the morning. Not happening now. read more

First time at this location. It must be brand new. The interior is slightly different than other Cracker Barrel's I've been to. Very wide open and more modern. A very disappointing food experience for a longtime Cracker Barrell Customer. Never mind that the ice tea my wife and I ordered never came. The Cracker Barrell sampler I ordered was probably good on Monday, but the meat loaf and smothered chicken was rather dried out and not hot on Thur when I ordered it. When my wife asked about bread, the waitress stated it was only served now if the customer asked for it. Whoever implemented that policy is no asset to the restaurant. Not specific to this restaurant, but the suboptimal changes to the breakfast service are rather disconcerting. No grits automatically served? No Breakfast sampler on the menu? Top 3 of the worst cracker barrel experiences that I have had. The restaurant wasn't busy as far as patrons go. There were probably 10-12 tables seated with at least 5 waitresses. It took 10 mins for our waitress to even acknowledge us. Another 10 mins for her to return with our beverages and another 5 for her to come back to take our order. We then waited 20 mins for our food to come out. The food came out warm but the meal in general was subpar. Everything was just meh. Even the water seemed to have an odd taste. The entire experience was meh. Our waitress was nice but she seemed overwhelmed with 3 tables. I will not be stopping at this Cracker Barrel again read more

My Mama and I had dinner last night and our food was AWFUL. First off we never received biscuits even after asking for them. When our food arrived it was cold and the baked potato won't even melt butter. We told the waitress and she told us they get a lot of compliments on their baked potatoes but didn't offer to bring out another one. I ordered the broccoli casserole and it was only crust with NO broccoli. We showed it to the waitress and she told us it was the last bit they had. With all the problems with our meal we NEVER saw a manager. I'm so disappointed with Cracker Barrel and will never waste my hard earned money on a BAD experience with them again. Our family attended a funeral in Lavonia this past week, afterwards we all went to this location to gather and talk about our loved one we lost. It was about 3.00 pm on a Friday when we showed up. Probably should have called ahead as we had about 15 people but they sat us all in a timely manner. The server did an excellent job taking all orders correctly ,served them in a reasonable time, and made sure we all were taken care of with extra napkins, dtinks, etc. It truly was a memorable time for us and all the food was very good as I heard no one complain with accuracy, temperature, or taste of food ordered. I recently stopped in this Cracker Barrel, the wife loves the place. Me, not so much. However this evening we had a fantastic dinner, our Server Trent was exceptional and did everything right as a server. Kept our drinks full, made sure we were happy with our meal. Checked in on us, not bothersome but the way I remember servers used to be in years gone bye. No cell phone in his hand or worried about a new trend to start. Very attentive to the customers needs. On our way back through my wife wants to stop by again and see if Trent is working, if so we'll want him to wait on us. Keep hiring servers like him and you'll continuously be packed. read more

I'll admit - this is the first time I've ever successfully sat and ate at a Cracker Barrel. Each previous time that I attempted to dine-in at any Cracker Barrel, the length of the line and wait time simply did not make it worth the hassle. However, upon visiting this Cracker Barrel location, we were seated and helped almost immediately. The attention to detail that the stores have is phenomenal. There are placards and posters and signage across the restaurant, providing a homey charm. The service is wonderful and attentive. They guided us through the menu and made suggestions to help us save a few dollars. The food itself is good, I wouldn't classify it as fine dining, but it is more reminiscent of going to your grandmother's house for Thanksgiving, it's just very comfortable. read more

The hamburgers were cold, the broccoli was raw not steamed, and the hash brown casserole was near cold. The grilled chicken tenders were burnt. And when our food arrived, we had 7 orders, 3 of the orders were cold or missing sides. And the plates that were missing sides had to wait 10 more minutes to get them. No apology from management. We were very disappointed with our meal today. Usually, Cracker Barrel is very consistent. Not Lavonia, GA. The only dish we got that tasted like all other CB was the fried apples. The food was all together on one plate. Usually things such as dumplings and Mac and cheese are in small bowls. The dumplings and cheese sauce all ran together into the meatloaf. It's Cracker Barrel and hard to go wrong. Some friends were in town to see the historical eclipse and it's was getting late on a Sunday and nothing was left open till we found this. I was so happy to have one of my favorites freshly opened. I'm sure the staff is still fairly new but they were doing a great job. My meatloaf, dumplings, pintos, and hash brown casserole were perfect! I know it may sound weird but when I ask for onion on the side I like to get a whole slice of onion and not just rings which is what I get everywhere but here she said they always provide a whole slice. I'm now in love with this place!!! Everything was delish and our party was pleased that we found an old favorite.
