They say they want to make the closing process "accurate, affordable, and trouble-free", which is HILARIOUS! "Communicating on a regular basis" HA! It took 6 emails attempting to get their mistake of my name acknowledged but Mark, who owns the company, didn't even attempt to make the correction. I eventually reached out to DC land records and had the confirmation of the correction within a week. This process has been everything but trouble-free and accurate! The number of times I had to send documents back to Mark and Alisa is laughable. They would attempt to start a new email chain and attachments were misplaced; thankfully I'm incredibly organized and could pull up the documents notarized 3-4 months prior back to them within minutes. I wish I had gone to another company. Do yourself a favor and save some time. Go to a more reputable title company.

At first I had no complaints but I felt like it was important to shop around for interest rates so I mentioned to my realtor that I was considering working with a different lender at which point both she and Jordan tried to convince me that it was too late and that I would miss my closing date and could possibly lose my deposit and contract. I gave in and agreed to stay with First Home. Every time Jordan sent me a document to sign, I was told I only had 24 hours. With this being my first home I wanted to make sure I was reading through everything carefully, but if I didn't return the documents within a few hours Jordan would call, email and text me to push me to get the papers to her. She would also have my realtor contact me to ask why I hadn't turned them in yet. The contact between her and my realtor created a lot of mistrust. Since closing, Jordan continues to send spam emails, one of which was asking me to donate money to her fundraiser.
