I had what most would consider a small accident in the drive thru at Starbucks. An unlicensed young girl mistook the gas pedal for the brake and slammed into me. What seemed small turned into a lengthy and painful ordeal. In the beginning my experience had started off a little rocky, but, I just called them back, explained what was going on and asked them for a different attorney within the same office. They were completely apologetic as to what had happened and referred me to a new attorney, Lara. This was my first, and I hope last, vehicle accident and I have never had to hire an attorney before. Lara was SUPER empathetic and I felt SO much more at ease after meeting with her. Her paralegal, Rachael, is also exceptionally awesome! I'm a very busy person with work and I move around a lot I'm always traveling I was injured in the accident October me and my fiance everything was pretty quick it does seem like them and the chiropractors are in a team like scam situation being that they made more than I did on my settlement.... But it also is way easier than dealing with it out of pocket if you alone deal with the opposing insurance company. There wasn't much back and forth rebutles to the offered settlement. I was also informed if didn't take the 2nd offer then we'd have to go to trial which a date could be set back a year. My case isn't very big, but the fault of the accident absolutely was not mine. There are a couple of things that make this case difficult to prove, like the fact that it's a rental and we don't have it in possession to prove that it is defective or malfunctioned. These people are very unprofessional. There was a female lawyer that caused me a great deal of grief. She allowed her personal feelings to get in the way of doing her job and initiated an gender debate with me that was absolutely out of place. Then when things didn't go her way she screwed me over and left me hanging with a bad memory and no one to help me. I would like to see if I could file a malpractice lawsuit against them because there was no reason for what happened. This woman should have had more grit and more professionalism.
