From the moment I phoned Cranmore to set up an appointment I was impressed. Tiffany was cheery and professional. As I told her that we needed the carpets in our dining and living rooms cleaned as well as a recliner, it occurred to me that our four upholstered dining room chairs could use some attention also. We were pleased with the clearly stated prices of each item that she quoted and the ease of scheduling the appointment. On the morning of the cleaning, we moved small things such as floor lamps and items off the coffee and dining room tables. Steven arrived a little early, which was fine. He was courteous, and after exchanging pleasantries he got right to work, starting with the chairs. He worked efficiently and carefully. By the time he was finished and was packing up, we could see that he had done an excellent job. The chairs have never looked better and the carpet is gorgeous. The price that had been quoted was the price that he quoted for our credit card transaction. When our cat appeared back in the room, he was not the least concerned about the results; the smell was pleasant, the carpet soft, and it was time for a nap on the slightly moist recliner. Like you, we've used various carpet cleaning companies in the past--some that offered 37 rooms cleaned for only $79.95, and others that promised no residue. I remembered how strong the smell was after our last carpet cleaning (which is why we weren't using them again). Well, it seems you get what you pay for, and "no residue" means the carpet is so stiff you walk on top of the straight fibers. Friends recommended Cranmore. I called and they came out almost right away. The man who arrived was jovial and efficient, telling us what he'd do for us and asking questions to make sure we'd be satisfied. He told us how much it would be, and it wasn't much more than the cheap companies that charge a base price for three rooms, but then add on this, that, and the other thing. We put the cat in the bathroom to wait it out, and the dogs went outside. We held our breath and it began. The man moved our furniture and worked as quietly as man wielding a compressor-driven cleaning machine can. He was done in a relatively short space of time. When he left, we had carpets that would need to dry for 8 or so hours, but oh, what a wonderful smell, and the next day, the dry carpets felt great underfoot. This is the second time we have used this company, and both times they have done an excellent job. 3 rooms (big living room..counted as 2 rooms, and stairs) for $99.00. Our cleaner was very friendly, explained each and every step along the way, and did an excellent job of cleaning our carpets. Our carpets are really old (came with the house, almost 12 years ago) and eventually need replacing, but for the time being, once or twice a year, we will be calling Cranmore. They do a great job, show up on time, and are extremely professional and reasonably priced. We will continue to use them for our carpet cleaning needs. read more

We have used Cranmore for carpet cleaning in the past, and today they just finished our tile floor upgrade. I rarely give companies 5 star reviews, but Cranmore proved to be the exception. From start of the job to finish, I was extremely pleased with their professionalism, and ability to make sure we were happy with their service. I received multiple bids for the job and I was really impressed with how detailed Cranmore's bid was (it made it really easy to understand where I would be spending money). Other companies would have "add-ins" to their pricing but Cranmore's bid was fair. They also brought the tile to us so we could match it to our furniture and provided updates everyday during the installation process. They also worked extremely hard to get the job done quickly and at the end of the day our flooring is beautiful and more than I could even imagine. We replaced almost all of our old carpet and tile (1200+ square feet) and they were done in 5 days. Which anytime you upgrade/update your flooring it definitely takes time out of your routine, so knowing it could be done in 5 days was great. Any issues/concerns we had were immediately addressed and promptly taken care of. I appreciated the fact that I could call it was taken care of. Nearly speechless! Nutshell: Very expensive area rug was picked up for cleaning. During the process the rug was accidentally destroyed. The owner contacted my wife to deliver the news and in the same breathe explained that he had already ordered us a brand new rug - it arrived yesterday via: UPS direct from supplier. We have been with Cranmore carpets for everything from carpets to tile now my car! At first I was using one of those $20 special coupons that came in the mail, then I would notice after about a week or two that all of the stains and dirt were coming right back up to the surface. I have three kids who do not understand take your shoes off and leave them at the door. Plus all of their friends!! Enter Cranmore carpets. As soon as I had them come out they went over everything. They were extremely thorough and would not leave until all of my questions were answered. Which again as a renter sometimes it feels like you're living in your parents house, and at the end of your lease term every single dollar counts on your deposit. LOL!! But with that being said, as a renter sometimes people before you have pets and I have a high allergy, so if there's any leftover hair, stains or anything I'm going be feeling the effects of it. Anyways back to the carpet cleaning they do an amazing job and I will only recommend them and nobody else. We found them on Angie's List and we were not disappointed. We had two huge area rugs that were extremely heavy, and they had dog stains all over them. I doubted the odor could be gotten rid of. The nice young man showed up, moved furniture out of the way, rolled up the carpet, and carried it out to the truck. I couldn't believe it. Talk about a strong, and capable worker! The other rug was already rolled up and out in the carport. He brought them back on schedule and did all the work again with putting the rug back. I think he said they had to clean the rugs twice. We called Cranmore on a Saturday and received a quote from Tiffany, who was extremely pleasant. She gave us a quote for a 4 area cleaning, including a special pet stain treatment for some stains in one of the bedrooms. She then informed us that they would be available to come out on Monday (Labor Day) to perform the work. Open on Labor Day!? Very nice. Their technician, Jose, was scheduled to arrive at 12:30 and was a couple minutes early. Jose was very pleasant and did a brief walkthrough. We expected a hard sell on upgrades, but after just a few suggestions, the estimate was spot on (no pun intended) to the estimate provided up front by Tiffany. Work began and Jose was done in about 2 hours or so. A bit about our carpets: they are light cream colored, 14 years old and we have only had them professionally cleaned 2 or 3 times. No kids, a cat and a dog. The carpet has held well, but has a few spots, coffee spills, pet stains and dust outlines from moved furniture. Jose and Cranmore are NOT miracle workers and we didn't expect our carpets to look brand new. Anyone with a carpet history like ours and thinks they will look new after a cleaning needs to have their heads examined. Be realistic people. However, we couldn't be happier with how good they do look and feel. The stains are gone or have been greatly improved in both appearance and texture. They left us with a courtesy bottle of stain remover and some referral coupons to boot. One of the best indicators as to the integrity of this company: we had opted for the ScotchGuard protectant and Jose had completed the cleaning without applying it. HE noticed the upgrade on the paperwork and told my wife he needed a few more moments to apply it. We wouldn't have been the wiser. He could have left it off and we would have never known. Kudos to Cranmore for instilling integrity into their business plan and bigger kudos to Jose for executing with honesty. Bottom line, from the moment we called to set the appointment to the moment we moved the furniture back in, our experience with Cranmore was nothing but top notch. Professional and friendly service. The technicians were very cautious with their equipment in my home, taking precautions that would protect my walls and furniture. They inquired about any special directions or spots that needed pre-treatment. The repair team came ahead of the carpet cleaners and did an excellent job of repairing my carpet where it was lifting.
