This Maryland Bridge has cashless tolling , EZ pass, or pay-by-plate video toll. Although I'm always trepidatious driving over bridges, this one was all right! These huge Modern marvels always fascinate me, this one is part suspension with through-truss beams; the X lattice work spans the suspension section. Officially named, Governor William Preston Lane, Jr. Memorial Bridge is dual laned, separated traffic which makes crossing seem more safe and secure, even though the lack of shoulders and low guardrails, with a high frequency of strong winds deem it one of the scariest bridges in U.S.! Nevertheless, we crossed over to the other side swimmingly!

The Society was founded in March 1932 and is the oldest exclusively model railroad club in the United States. They maintain 2,500 square feet of model railroad displays of steam and diesel freight and passenger trains and trolleys, plus so much more. It was fun to see all the parts of the display - it really gives you a glimpse into the history of railroading. It is not easy to find, as the doorway is tucked into the left front center of the building and the society is located on the third floor with no elevator. The display is normally open on the second Sunday of each month, except May.

Since we were told apps were likely $8 we decided to just order from that part of the menu to try out different things. Sigh. This place was never really my go to on the Island. Excellent spot for birding…read more It's not as visited as other places so taking photos/videos of wildlife is easy. I came into contact with perhaps 3 other human beings. It's winter now, of course, but that's when you can see more birds because they're wintering here. I was able to observe for the first time many tundra swans, with their distinctive black bills; what a treat. Also, terns, yellowlegs, sandpipers, herons, egrets, snipes, plovers, gulls and a large number of ducks, including a hooded merganser which I hadn't seen before -- so striking. Enjoyed Tubby Cove and Box Point. Took walks on a variety of trails. The refuge is 2,285 acres and that makes this place nice and quiet. The local history is interesting too, well, at least I think so. Eastern Neck is just my speed.

Honestly, his behavior and demeanor are likely great examples of what terrible experiences and (lack of) service we would have probably received had we decided to utilize Paul's business and services during our visit.

Dolphins, osprey with fish in their talons, lighthouses, a drawbridge, and a chill approach to life. He navigated us Tilghman island... let us rest, eat and swim... then returned us safely to our lives in DC. The 38 ft sloop is awesome, well cared for and handled great in some chop. I will absolutely sail with captain Paul again. I highly recommend sailing with him.
