Ate here yesterday with my elderly mother and aunt. I'm a big fan of these Asian buffets but the ladies were put off by all the fish photos outside. However, after convincing them to give it a try and watching them review the offerings, no one left hungry, The food was fresh, there was a wide variety of offerings (including many sushi options), the place was clean, my drink was kept full, and the hosts were friendly, and the price was fair and reasonable. I've been going to this place since i was a kid and it's a good place to eat with friends, family, or alone. The food is great, the people there are nice, the restrooms clean, the sushi great, the ice cream delectable, the noodles, delicious. Not impressed. I brought my family here based on the Yelp and Google reviews/score. We tried pretty much everything from sushi to donuts. The sushi was not great and had been sitting pretty for a couple hours. Traditional American Chinese food (sesame chicken, spicy chicken, peppered streak) was not palatable and I'm not sure how you would mess up on those. This place is great and really your best option for Chinese on this side of town. Let me start out by stating they had a health score of 89 that was behind their counter and not easily readable. I do not know what issues they actually had at the time of their inspection. The staff are friendly and attentive. You will get timely refills and such. The buffet is well stocked and the food is great. I had everything from fried sushi to cold shrimp with cocktail sauce. I had chicken and broccoli and the broccoli was really good. I also love their mushrooms. The cocktail sauce was not great. The fried sushi was cold by the time I tried it. I also tried the mussels and I felt they should have been on ice. I did not eat the second one and I am crossing my fingers hoping I do not get sick. All in all this place is really good. I would just advise to use caution with what you eat here. read more

Flavors remind me of this other asian buffet in California but slightly less dishes. This was quite the surprise. I would never guess you could find decent AYCE Chinese Buffets in Albany, GA. Located near the Walmart center in the Dollar Tree strip mall, this was quite the popular lunch place. Nice variety of Asian and American cuisine as well as sushi. Service was very good. I like the shrimp in the rough and these were pretty large (not jumbo, but not medium either). They also had cold mussels which were also very good. Food was cold and greasy meat taste like motor oil, chicken wings full of feathers as if they fried the chicken alive, dirty silverware, dirty plates, dirty glasses, hot oil had mold from where it has been less frequently used and recycled , they said pepper steak but by the texture it had to be some other animal because it wasn't beef , hot and sour soup was thick and scorched then after all of this I drank one Pepsi didn't even finish that then they tried to charge me for a to go cup ! Must have caught them on a bad day. 2:30 in the afternoon and the hot food was not hot nor the cold foods very cold (lukewarm at best). Chicken teriyaki was warm, dry, and not very flavorful. I drive cross country and rarely get to stop for a buffet. I'm so glad this was next to the Walmart by the Pilot where I parked. This has got to be the best small buffet place I have ever eaten at, no lie. Everything was so good that I ate 2 huge plates lol. The sushi selection is what took the cake for me though. First time in the area and I was impressed. The hostess/cashier at the front door was friendly, seated me quickly and took my drink order. The buffet was well stocked, clean, food was hot and they had a nice selection of hot foods, small desert buffet as well as sushi. As a food aficionado, and as a chef, this place takes the top spot as one of my all time favorite restaurants (I know, strange, especially being a buffet!) I have been dining here for many years, and they never fail with food quality. The options always remain the same, and while not a huge selection, they have very tasty ones, and my favorite is the sweet jalapeño chicken. All you can eat sushi also in included in the price of the buffet, and it is out of this world. I call them and the man told me that with out drink and water it's around $7.89 with drink it's around $9.56. So i got a lot of food and some of it i didn't eat because it's a buffet. So they charge be $12.99. When i go to buffets are Golden Corral the food i don't eat they don't charge me. The food was okay. read more

I am okay with the taste of the food, and obviously can't complain about the portion size, but the size of the chunks of meat that are put into the dishes, are sometimes too big for even my big mouth. I have never been given a knife at any Chinese (or Mexican, for that matter) restaurant, but if this place insists on putting a quarter pound sized piece of meat in the Sesame Chicken, it needs to start supplying one. read more
