This place has the best service the sweetest people working here! The food is hands down amazing! Especially their fried duck!

First time visiting this place an I was pleased with my meal but my family wasn't. They had order the snow crab platter for $32 u would think it would be piping hot....NOT!!! All 4 platters was COLD!!! Then when asked to do sumthin about our cold food...they then went in kitchen an did wateva an brought out the same damn platters heated up an gave everyone each other plates wth an then the rudeness frm the manager wateva u wanna call her VERY UNPROFESSIONAL..will never return !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

After waiting for over 30 minutes and still no food when the food did come out the grilled shrimp wasn't edible. The shrimp were burnt and over seasoned. The fish orders took even longer and then the orders were wrong. Overall the food was lousy and the poor waitress did her best. What did the establishment do? Our tea was free!! This is only the second time I have been to this restaurant. The first time I went it was called something else. We moved to Las Vegas 2 years ago and we are back for a visit. My daughter , son in law and me where hungry Saturday evening traveling from Ruston back to Baton Rouge. Looked on Yelp as we got 15 minutes from Pineville and discovered this restaurant. We got off the main highway for 2 miles and took a chance that the 4 5 stars would be worth the risk. Looking at the restaurant fro. The outside. It appeared to be similar to someone's old living/dining room. But went inside. Michelle, our server was very knowledgeable about the menu. We had the fried duck appetizer per her bv recommendation and it was amazingly good. For dinner we had the special, which was fried fish and shrimp. Came with Cole slaw, fries. And hush puppies. All of it was incredibly good. And the special was only $10. We will be back there every chance we get close. read more

The food here is well cooked and the portions are large. The food doesn't have that 'old grease' taste or smell, and always is served fresh out of the grease, and steaming hot and crispy. Their iced tea is also the perfect beverage to accompany your meal with friendly waitresses keeping your drink topped off in a timely manner. (((Please remember to tip, people!!!))) I love the old time mom and pop atmosphere of the place that perfectly represents the small community of Tioga. My only complaint is how incredibly salty the food is. It seems to vary with each visit, but pervasively the taste of the food is overwhelmed by the saltiness. Fix that, and you'd easily earn 5 stars from this family! read more

Good fried seafood here. Always on point. They do have non fried items. But I believe the catfish is excellent and is my go to. The sour cream and chives potatoes as a side (with cheese) are must! I have been eating crawfish all of my life. I am a 47 yr old male from Tioga. Yesterday, my wife and I ordered 8 lbs of boiled crawfish for pick up. It cost $55. When we got them home and opened the bag, I admit I was disappointed with the size (see photo, for comparison purposes, that is a tea spoon in the picture) but not as nearly as disappointed in the taste. Thsee made my #1 spot in the worst crawfish ever. The meat had no internal flavor but was caked on the outside with crab boil. Being an experienced crawfish cooker myself, I believe the water wasn't seasoned and where crab boil might be sprinkled on the finished crawfish the cook over poured knowing the water didn't have any flavor. In any case, my $55 dollars and their awful crawfish were wasted. I eat crawfish 15-20 times each season but I will not be purchasing anything from here in the future. If you want good crawfish, this ISN'T the place. Crawfish is one of my favorites, but if this would be the only place to get them, I suppose I would go without. Awful! Excellent food, great service, and reasonably priced. One of the few good seafood restaurants in our area. Their fish is delicious despite not being what some people refer to as "real" catfish. It is still catfish and tastes much better than some fish I've had at other restaurants where the cooks have failed to remove the fat and portions of the meat end up gray colored and nasty. If you can't get past the fish issue, then get something else. They have a wide variety to choose from, including unique entrees like grilled or fried duck, and it's all delicious! read more

I have to call this place a hidden jem. It is not well lit up its in an old fast food place and it's anything but fast food. The food here was absolutely delicious!! Stopped here for dinner after long day driving back to Houston. Lots of locals eating here and easy to see why. I ordered medium fried catfish and my son order medium shrimp. Food fried well, not greasy and sides (coleslaw and onion rings) were great. Place looks like reconverted fast food place and not fancy but food was great and prices reasonable for the portions.
