Cute place with good service. It's an old jail converted into a coffee‑house restaurant. We had the chicken panini and the club sandwich -- both were good. A bit pricey for what you get, but it's a unique experience with a good variety of choices for breakfast, lunch, and desserts. Each jail cell is decorated differently, and we ate in the game room. It would be a great place to bring the kids, have lunch, and play a few board games.

Nice looking café clean and well furnished. The staff is polite and well spoken, they answered my questions and catered nicely. I ordered the Augusta BLT, it comes with pimento cheese, arugula, tomato and spiced bacon. I thought that sounded great, so I ordered it w/o the cheese I'm not a fan of pimento. The lady who took my order informed me they indeed have a regular one, however I declined because I wanted the specific ingredients.received it piping hot, fantastic. Then I opened the box and was met with the saddest excuse of a BLT I ever seen. I was met with a singular soggy tomato, ONE and a HALF strips of bacon. This is the stingiest sandwich I ever gotten. WHY in gods name is this sandwich $8??? I read reviews and it apparently used to be $5? Regardless, it should be renamed as a Pimento Grilled cheese w/ bacon, arugula and tomato. Because clearly the star would've been the cheese with accents of the other toppings. Taste was 8/10 ,but y'all have to do better. Price 2/10 Presentation 7/10

A wonderful hidden gem of Jefferson. If you were ever in the area, please consider to check place out. Ambiance: very Cracker Barrel feeling, home town coffee shop, everyone was so kind and sweet Food and coffee: flavorful and left us very satisfied. We had the hot vanilla latte with almond milk and a fluffy iced latte (vanilla and marshmallow yum!) Service: right on the money and such a cute place for girl time. Overall it's a win in my books!

They need to serve the salads in a regular bowl, not a trendy "sloped-sde" asymmetrical one. Made salad stuff difficult to stay in.

Musty "grandma's attic smell" according to my kids - at least, in the hallway with the jail cells. It's a really cute concept, but I don't understand why they'd name it Cream & Shuga and not some kind of prison-pun. The gal who took our order was really nice, but there was another member of the staff off to the side that looked miserable, like her job was the worst thing in the world. The food was good, but WAY overpriced for a family of four to eat a sandwich for lunch and spend $50+. They should consider making a combo lunch and at least offer some chips or a pickle on the side of their sandwiches. My coffee cup was speckled with old grounds at the bottom when I was finishing it and wasn't served hot. All in all, a cute spot that I'd go to again, especially for breakfast instead. Wierd hours too - not open for lunch on the weekends seems odd.

This sign alone, LOVE them even more!

Lunch Break - Just Pick Up Location: it's in a pretty quiet area. The parking lot is a little weird. Even the UPS guy parked his truck at a slant sort of in the middle of the parking lot. You'll see what I'm talking about regarding the tight parking when you go. Atmosphere: This is a super cozy little cafe. I can see why someone would come here and just work on their laptop. Very spacious and clean with soft elevator music :) Food: Eh, but I'm also really picky. I just felt like the ingredients weren't fresh or something. The wrap had a strange after taste. This is why one star is off. Customer service: I only picked up my order, so I can't speak too much on that, but when I asked where to pick up my order, the young lady behind the desk was kind of dismissive. I get that they're busy, but I am keen on good customer service. That's why the other star is off. Would I recommend? For pick up, sure. Will I be back? I don't think so.

I'd had this shop marked in places I wanted to try so we decided to check it out. It's tucked away on a little side street, we just about missed it. The lady behind the counter, perhaps the owner, is so sweet! We felt so welcome! And these treats are made with love! From cookies to cakes and a few other sweet treats, she had quite the selection! I was tugged towards the pound cake, or maybe the chocolate layer cake or the pineapple cake but then I saw my Momma's favorite, Italian Cream Cake! It was always so hard to find (and a pain to make) so when I saw that in the display I knew that's the one I had to try. I have no regrets. It's a perfectly balanced cake with the right amount of frosting and mix-ins such as nuts and coconut. It's perfectly sweet and moist. When someone says they want Italian cream cake, this is what they want! Now I know where to go to order my cakes as just from this slice, I can tell this is the spot. A hidden gem in Winder, if you're not getting your cakes here, you are missing out. You gotta check it out!

But then there is Doughnut World, this small little hole in the wall going into downtown Winder that we had passed the strip mall it's tucked in several times but didn't pay it any mind because we weren't looking for breakfast or donuts so didn't think much of it. But yesterday we were so we popped in here to check it out. They have a great variety of all the ones you expect (glazed, Boston cream, etc) plus some features like Fresh Strawberries & Cream and Dubai Chocolate Cronuts which are double stacked donuts with filling in the middle, like donut sandwiches. I cannot speak highly enough of the pillowy perfection of the donuts themselves. They have just enough sweetness but not overbearing and they aren't dense like Dunkin or air like Krispy Kreme that just disappears in your mouth. Don't get me wrong, I like both but the donuts at Doughnut World are in a league of their own. They aren't cakey, and they aren't like puff pastry, they are fluffy with just the right balance of soft to dense. It's hard to explain. You just gotta try for yourself. If I had to choose the perfect donut, this is it. We bought a half dozen to try: glazed (of course), two Boston creams, because of course (to which my cousin remarked that's the best she'd ever had), lemon, strawberry or raspberry (I just pointed and said "that one" lol) not sure but it was delicious, and a caramel with bacon? More labels in the display case would certainly help and if the owner reads this I do advise for this reason. The star of the show was the Strawberries and Cream Cronut without a doubt. It was perfection and I would go back just for this. It was the perfect balance of donut, strawberry and cream in which each flavor and texture came through into such a delicate and delicious treat! We did try a kolache that the pastry was perfect but I didn't care much for the filling, just personal preference. It was fine but just not my thing. I was there for the sweets! I'm glad I tried it but I would opt for a different savory pastry next time. We didn't order any drinks but they have a nice variety of teas and here you can get all the variety of like matcha, boba, Thai, chai, etc that are all the rage these days so I'll have to give some of those in future visits. If you haven't checked this place out you won't be disappointed. The lady working behind the counter was super sweet and helpful and even tossed in a few donut holes for us. As we were walking out the people were pouring in from the parking lot so I don't think this place is a secret, perhaps more of a little hidden gem right on the little outskirts of downtown Winder.

The space itself is set up live a vintage ice cream parlor with tiled floor, booths, blue and pink decor and vintage black and white posters. Really cute!
