You can use stairs or an elevator. The entire place is extremely modern. They have touch panels for temperature control and AV control. There many equipment, including several large screen TVs on a movable pedestal. They even have garbage cans that open by waving your hand in front of a sensor! Their website is easy to navigate, and you can register for classes there. On Mon to Sat, they have programs for babies, toddlers, kids, adults, and seniors. For kids, there are classes in science, cooking, art, and music. For adults & seniors, there are classes in art, cooking, fitness, and music. Some of the classes have been adapted for special needs kids and their caregivers. The community centre opens the space for Autism Ontario on a Sun, provides the cookies, coffee, tea, and a receptionist, all for free! My son was here to play chess against other children. Luckily, he found someone who was almost equal to his skill level, so he definitely enjoyed his two hours there. During the summer, they also hold summer camps. There is free WiFi. The place is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms, and they are wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2023-262

I really can't speak as to the tennis training my four year old received when she went to the…read moretennis camp at havergal this past week, but what i can comment on is how disorganized the camp is, and how easy it was for small children to wander away from the camp completely unsupervised. Every morning when my husband or I dropped her off, there seemed to be confusion as to where she was to go. There were two counselors for 17 or 18 children in the 4 to 5 year old age group, and when one was taking a child to the bathroom, there was only one counselor. I can't imagine that the children were getting much tennis practice in with so few staff members available to teach them. On the Wednesday, I took my kids to play in the playground, which is a reasonable distance from the tennis courts, on our way out. I watched as two little girls, close to my daughters age, left the camp and went into the main building completely unsupervised. I checked to see if a counselor was even watching to make sure they got to where they were going, or if someone was even aware that they were off on their own, and I saw no one. Today, on our last day, I brought my smaller child early for pick-up so she could play at the playground until it was time to pick up my four year old. I watched as a small child left the camp, crossed the big field with no supervision, and started to play at the playground. He was four years old, and played there completely unbeknownst to the counselors, for about 20 minutes. Finally, a counselor came by, and I called to him and asked him if this was ok. He said absolutely not, and returned the child to the camp. When I spoke to the person who seemed to be in charge about it, he said it was completely unacceptable and went to speak to the child's counselors, who were still completely unaware that he had disappeared at all! I truly believe that if the child had wanted to walk further to the ravine, or even the parking lot, not a single staff member would have noticed. Unless this camp becomes far more organized, and more care is put into the actual supervision and provision of safety for children, I would never register my child at this camp again, and would caution any other parent to reconsider. Of all the camps my child has been to, this is also one of the most expensive camps.

Didn't bother asking kids to replay sunscreen at temperatures of 30c. Rude and disinterested teenagers running the camp. No responses from the main office re: questions. I cannot believe they get away with charging this much to babysit kids for the day. If you want your kid to do tennis, do them a favor and put them in one of the neighboring camps, like North Toronto or Wanless Park. Sports Camps is a disgrace.

We have been impressed with both. The summer camps - which run on a weekly basis - are well organized, coached by skilled and engaged coaches, and value adding in terms of skills. Not babysitting programs, the kids came back each day excited about the program and keen to return. The coaches expect engagement and commitment and the kids buy in. The Power organization is responsive and easy to deal with. The invitation-only academy program has been excellent. It is not an insignificant commitment. Our 10 year old practices three days a week and in season, plays a game also. We've been impressed with the well-oiled structure, the knowledge and empathy of the coaching staff, and the culture of civility and professionalism that Power FC imbues in both its students and their parents. For children of this age, the program is focused on skills development, and team games are not all about winning - they are an extension of the learning opportunity. As a result, the kids are focused on their own development, they are supportive and play well with each other, and no one - parents included - has too much at stake in any given game. Power expects the parents to be supportive but not coaching from the sidelines, and the difference between this quietly professional style and the 'tiger parent/coach' is often evident on the sidelines in our games. In our case, our child is one of two girls playing on what is otherwise a boys' team - sadly there are not enough girls to field a girls only team. She feels included and valued by both the coaching staff and her team members, and on rare occasions when they have played against girls teams, they have played kids a year older, and typically dominated. Seeing my daughter play in other forums with kids her age validates my perspective that the skills she is learning at Power are among the best available in the city.

I booked NudeTO like 8 months in advance like the super type A human that I am and they were nothing but gracious, professional and quick with their responses as I changed details, dates, constant questions, etc. throughout the process. The day of the event, the crew of 3 (manager, instructor and model) showed up early as promised, quickly got to work setting up and were ready right on time. Of course, we weren't. While we waited for the rest of our guests to arrived the NudeTO crew patiently waited for about 30-40 minutes with ZERO complaints. Our model Carl literally hid in the bathroom the whole time so as not to ruin the surprise. When we finally started the instructor was SO amazing. We had a group of 25 girls drawing and she kept everyone on track. Our model Carl. Omg. He was something out of this world. I wish I could write all of the hilarious comments I was told about him after but they are not PG13. So good looking. Now, let me get to the best/worst part. In the middle of the class (which was set up in our basement) the upstairs toilet leaked into the basement causing complete chaos. We had to take like a 30 min break while things got cleaned up. Again, no complaints or stress from the NudeTO crew. Once we were able to restart, they got everyone focused again so quickly and the toilet was forgotten. I was SO impressed and incredibly grateful to them. In the days since, I have received numerous compliments on how much fun everyone had, how amazing Carl was, best bachelorette ever, etc. Do not hesitate to hire NudeTO. Not only do they deliver an amazing experience, but they role with the punches of an unpredictable event with so much professionalism. Thank you to the whole crew!!!
