So..... The Saga started back in October of 2015. After my Dell XPS ONE failed I started researching possible causes, most probable was the motherboard or the on board graphics card. I phoned around a few places explaining my problem, and after a few ok responses I got through to Creative IT, I spoke to the owner "Sam" who assured me that they provided a superior service as they had all the right equipment to re solder a new card or replace the motherboard, I as ked if this was a service they could provide at a fixed cost whilst I waited and was told "Yes of course" So off I drove to south east London.... Upon arrival things seemed fine, they looked like a professional company and had a good amount of customers and calls. Upon inspection Sam concluded that it was the motherboard that was faulty, here is where the problems began. He then Said he didn't have the part and that it would need to be ordered in at an extra expense....I of course had little option so I agreed and paid the extra. Fast forward 1 month and I'd not heard anything from Sam about the state of repair, so I called and he said he was having "delivery issues" This continues for 3 months, the same cycle of calls and excuses. Eventually in mid January I was informed that the PC was repaired and would be sent back to me ASAP, I was delighted to be getting it back. Another 5 days went by, and no PC, I then received an email from Sam saying that he couldn't send it via DHL/UPS etc as he didn't have a box big enough to put it in, and that I should come and collect it. I could not face or afford the 5 hour drive there and back as I run my own small company and cannot afford to take the day off! He made plenty of excuses and would not budge on the issue even though I explained that I had been very polite and reasonable over the huge delay in the return of the PC. I then suggested that we split the costs of a cab from SE1 to Ruislip where I live (a cost of aprox £40, so about £10 each after the initial dispatch fees where included) He point blankly refused... This company is a small time two bit operation, surviving on half baked jobs and no customer care. It's all about profit for Sam and his team not about a job well done read more

I took in my laptop for a screen repair job and did not receive an update from them for 3 days. When I called them, they said that the person who had taken my job on had left for a 2 week vacation and that they "hoped" he had remembered to order the part before he left. The person said he'd call me back to give me an update that same day but never did. Then I called back 2 days later and was put on hold, and hung up on a total of 3 times. I am saddened by this negative experience as I try to research who I give my business to, and this company has received fairly positive reviws online. I feel it is important then to also share my bad experience with them. Update: once the dropped ball was picked up, the experience improved and my laptop is fixed. Although I still had to call to find out that it was ready to pick up. read more

I suggest to never go there! I went a while ago with my mac because it is closer than the apple store. they tested my mac and told me they could fix it for GBP450 ! I told them that I thought that was expensive and they said they could do it cheaper but were then not able to fix everything. I decided not to do it so I paid the GBP45 "check fee". Next day I went to apple store Covent Garden. They checked my Mac and it wasn't too bad. I could leave it there and they would let me know when it was ready. The following day I was contacted by them that I could pick it up. Cost: GBP 31 !! Now it runs like new and very I am very happy...about the Apple store and that I did not waste too much money on those dicks from 'response center'. Bunch of Crooks. My advice: NEVER GO THERE !! read more

Guys - Don't go anywhere near Creative IT if you can. Rip off merchants alert! 6 months ago I took a laptop of mine to get the "reflow" done. They charged me £45 + vat and it didn't work. Being the muppet that I am (like the chap at the top of the thread buying a laptop from PC World), the same thing happened with another laptop I have and I took it back to CREATIVE IT. The jokers wanted £165 + VAT for the reflow this time so I told them to go take f*%^%^g runnig jump. How can justify a 300% increase in prices of a procedure which is not guaranteed to work anyhow? Chaps there refused to believe that that's what I had paid for the procedure so I am collecting my laptop tonight and sending it to SONY. It is more expensive to get it repaired with them but at least you know it is going to get fixed. You give it to back road cowboys to fix and all you get is screwed! read more

This company has been awful in my experience with them. Intially i had a good impression but realise their wrong doings later. My Mac book pro just went blank one day....the screen was colourless. Creative IT repaired the graphic board and issued a 90days warranty...well straight after 90days the Mac went blank again. Again creative it fixed and charged another £335 and again issued it with another 90days warranty. In less than 90days the Mac went blank. Something isnt right so had another independent company to address the issue. This guy Paul was excellent and said straight out that only Apple can fix this. He can attempt to fix it but it will only break down in a matter of weeks. The fault was in the system to begin with and Apple will fix it for free. He was surprised when i mentioned i had it fixed before and they had charged me both times. His reply was "Im surprised they did not know this as it is a common error or rather they did know but choose to charge". I took it to the Apple store and they said it was "misdiagnosed". Contacting Creative IT they still do not think they were at fault. Didnt even bother to return a refund even if it had a 90days warranty. They also said it sometime happens that computer breaks down...well surely not everytime? Reading the expertise and specialists with 20yrs experience probably can only mean one thing to me....Money Grabbing! I felt conned of money because i had trusted in their knowledge. They claimed they specialises in London Apple Mac repair but yet they did not warn me of the problem. I later found out Apple had it on their website but for someone like me who doesnt know how to fix computers i thought i would take it to a specialist. I now know an excellent Mac repair guy and it surely isn't creative IT. read more

If you want professional service, do not go to this place. The manager was really rude and the customer service was inexistent. The guy did not commit himself when I asked for a price to remove a virus, he said it would be 150 £. He would not give me a top price as he said it would depend. Not much to go on. This could end up costing more than the computer?? I said I needed a price. He then said bring it in and if we cannot fix it we will reinstall the hard drive. I hate that kind of vagueness when it comes to price, you should at least commit to a no more than kind They left me with a broken laptop and they charged me 250£. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone. read more

Beware! This company ripping off customer at high speed. I took my laptop to creative it afor repair and he asked me £290 for the recovery data plus £170 replacement of hard drive (plus vat of course) im not a techie but was way too much and it was pushing too much and it seemed that price are random for each customer. I decided to take it back without servicing and went to check a second opinion. Result? £ 300 cheaper than creative it (80 for the recovery data)!! I feel sorry for the poor guy was there before me that forked £300 for half hour job. Don't trust them, taking advantage from customer.. read more

Took my Dell here and they fixed it pronto. Really pleased with the service and Sam and Nicky were great. Very happy to find a company that fixes these things so we don't throw more stuff away. read more

Fixed PS3 which broke within 2 days. Returned it to be repaired. They never fixed it or called me. After several calls they then said they no longer had the PS3. They have disposed of it. They said it was my fault as I did not call. They somehow conveniently choose not to update their system with all my calls to show that I have been calling. They want to offer me someone else broken PS3 (which is not repaired) that may have more faults than mines as a replacement. They are thieves. Do not trust these people with your stuff. I recommend sending emails with return receipt. When you call take their name and send an email to confirm your discussion and with who you have spoken to. They obviously cannot do good PS3 repairs else it would not have broken within 2 days. read more

I could not recommend these guys highly enough! When my laptop stopped working I immediately went to the manufacturer and all they could do was be rude and quote me almost the exact same value as the original laptop. After doing some thorough research, I discovered Creative IT and was swayed by all of the glowing reviews. Nothing I could say would do the team justice but this was one of the best experiences I've ever had. Everyone was extremely accommodating, transparent with the issues and the cost. Speaking of which, they will quote you quite possibly the cheapest cost you'll find. I was advised it could take upto a week to order in the replacements but my laptop was fixed within days. I could not be happier with the service. I genuinely enjoyed the entire experience which is bizarre considering the circumstances, but I would not hesitate to come back if I ever experience another issue. Thank you! I'm very satisfied with the service I received from Creative IT. I called Creative IT when my Sony laptop failed to start up last week. I spoke to a technician who was able to diagnose the fault on the motherboard on the phone and give me quote there and then. I was able to drop the laptop to their repair centre near London Bridge on Saturday morning and after about four hours, got a call to say that it was fixed and that I could come to collect it. I found the overall experience very smooth and stress-free. The staff were really knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks to their expertise in reparing components on motherboards, I was able to save money on buying an expensive Sony motherboard or even worse, a new laptop. I would definitely keep their contact details for repairs on my laptop in the future or recommend them to anyone in need of computer related services. read more

just want to say a massive "Thank you" to the repair guys at Creative IT - you saved my life! I'm a busy mum working as a freelance PR consultant and my toddler accidentally knocked over my MacBook Air and broke the screen, hours before I was due to make a client presentation for a new account. Desperately searched the internet for anyone who could help me and came across Creative IT. They claimed they could do same day repairs on Apple Macs so I took mine along. When I told them how urgent it was they offered to fix it while I waited. One hour and two cups of coffee later the screen had been replaced and my laptop looked good as new. You'd never even have guessed it was broken earlier that morning. I got to my client's office just in time for the presentation and it looks like they are going ahead with my recommendation. The guys at Creative IT helped me out when I spilled wine on my dell XPS 9550.. First off they tried to repair the motherboard at component level, so that I could potentially avoid having to replace the motherboard, thus potentially saving me money - doing component level repairs is something that makes creative IT stand out of the crowd for me, the other shops I went to told me that it's done - go buy another machine, not Creative IT. Unfortunately for me, the motherboard was unsalvageable, but they offered to replace the motherboard entirely - resulting in me being able to write this review from a laptop thats as good as new - Creative ITs combination of component level repairs, good prices and great service makes them a no brainer to recommend to anyone with computer related issues that needs solving. read more

An excellent service from Creative IT. They don't just repair Laptops/Notebooks and Macs we were having issues with the main server in our office, and after the initial conversation I was able to take the machine down to them straight away, at which point it was looked at immediately and the faults quickly diagnosed and repaired, which in this case was at a component level. All told, from arrival to departure, I was there for less than 90 minutes. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable, and I was shown the problem prior to repair and shown the machine working again prior to payment being taken. I would have no hesitation in speaking to them again in the future should I have any problems with the equipment in our office, and would recommend them to anyone else who requires their services. read more

Took in two laptops today -- on one, they replaced a damaged screen and a sliced cable and repaired a broken hinge and gave it a 'general service' including interior cleaning, and on the other, they replaced the power connection -- amazing service and the engineer gave full explanations of all the required work, including showing me on my laptops where things had broken etc. Friendly, clear, extremely knowledgeable and superquick -- repaired both while I waited, in under 2 hours! From past experience I felt it was excellent value for money. I highly recommend them and will certainly be using them again in future. read more

I had a bad hard disk head crash and lost all my data. I rang around and got a few quotes, but they were all quite extortionate. I lost my photos and music, so there is a limit to what I was prepared to pay. Creative IT came in with the best quote around and were open to listening to my requirements. I had good communication throughout and ended up with virtually all my data back in pristine condition. Absolutely fantastic. I would Highly recommend these guys. I had a liquid damaged laptop (lucazade in a lot of the inside) and it needed a clean, and resoldering of a couple of connections. They stayed open late to finish the repair so I could take it home that day. Not only were they very friendly, but highly professional, really knew what they were doing and extremely skilled. If I ever needed any laptop repairs again I would definitely take it there, great price, great people, great service. read more

I would strongly recommend Creative IT for laptop / Mac repair and also for data recovery. I visited them 3 weeks ago in London. They diagnosed my laptop immediately correctly and helped me work out best option to fix. They also specialise in data recovery from crashed discs etc. Having met them and spoken with the team I would trust them with my laptop anytime or for any data recovery task. Creative IT have helped me out on two occasions now - once to fix a virus that my laptop was suffering from and another time when my wife's hard drive crashed. With both problems I felt like I was treated well by the company and they solved the issues quickly. I don't think I would need to seek a second opinion because I know I can trust Creative IT. When I was in London on vacation I dropped my laptop down a flight of stairs and the screen cracked. The hotel manager referred me to Creative IT and I can't be more pleased with the service I received. They were able to repair my laptop by the following day and it cost a lot less then what I had expected it would. Therefore, I'm giving them 5 well deserved stars. Great service - a Dell Latitude with a short on the motherboard, all fixed the same day. It is a bit of a walk (20 min) from London Bridge or Borough Tube stations but you can take a Barclay's bike if you are in a rush. Good people to work with if you want your machine back in one piece quickly. They definitely know what they are doing and I highly recommend them. read more

I took my external hard drive to Creative It as it had stopped working properly. I was so stressed as i needed all my data. They were able to recover my data within a week and the astonishing thing was they did not take advantage of my needs and over price the data recovery. I would highly recommend this company if you look for professionalism. read more

I had a Sony Vaio with a cracked screen (broken by my daughter!!) I called Creative It and they told me to come down and would help me.. All in all i waited 25 mins and left with a fully functioning laptop - the manager even let my daughter watch TV whilst we waited! Good, quick service and reasonably priced. Would def recommend to others. read more

Really nice guys, took my laptop in and they gave me discount because they realised I was in a bit of a shit situation, did it for half the price apple said they would charge me and got it back to me within 3 hours when apple said it would take a couple of weeks.
