I hired Amy to write my resume and cover letter and LinkedIn profile. I am unhappy with the service and delivery of my resume. She basically copied and pasted it from her sample resumes. So I did not feel like it was "creative" at all. I specifically hired her to write a resume and cover letter for me because I am a new grad RN looking to apply for New grad RN programs. She claims she has experience working with new grad nurses but I feel like she completely missed the point. My cover letter was basically copied and pasted from someone else's cover letter. I know this because there was a specific "research company" mentioned in my cover letter which was NOT at all what I was applying for. In the resume she wrote that I took on case management of 20 patients. uhh!?? I was a nursing student at the time, and NO I am NOT a case manager. I was very specific on my emails what I wanted and not wanted and even took pics of how I wanted it and she still couldn't understand. The website says 30 days guarantee of unlimited revisions, and she told me in her email I had "1 week" left of revisions when I barely hired her 10 days previously. It does not sound like she has 10 years of HR experience. When I spoke to her on the phone she did not seem confident at all and kept guessing at what skills and qualifications she should include for my resume. I felt I wasted my money. She basically copied and pasted my resume on my LinkedIn profile. Made it sound like I was a nurse manager or something when I am NOT and just graduated from nursing school. Save your money and hire someone else. Ask AMY for her personal resume and see if it is to your liking. read more

My Creative Resumes accepts payment for services they have no intention or ability to provide. Their 24-48 hour turnaround claim is false and a clear indicator of their dishonest business practices. Payment for services was provided to you at 11:02 CST. The services your website claimed included a 24-48 turn around time. You accepted my payment and never had any intention of delivering the services I paid for. You never provided me that information. The reviews I am leaving are an accurate account of Your customer and reflect Your business practices. I did not create this unfortunate situation. I did not promise you payment and then only provide some of that payment. I provided you full payment and I expect full services. As stated in your email, the phone interview did not impact your ability to produce the product I purchased from you. I paid this service to write a resume and cover letter that I could use to apply for a job I really wanted. I gave Amy all the information which she requested including the job posting, resumes I've written in the past, and my direct LinkedIn site. After the first draft, she made a lot of mistakes. I told her what information shouldn't be in the resume and cover letter since i didn't have the experience and told her what relevant information should be in them. The second draft had the same mistakes as the first draft, she didn't make any of changes that I requested. She gave me a hard all throughout the process of writing these for me. I hired Amy to do my resume professionally. While it took Amy over a week to do my resume I had found a job using the resume I had. While dealing with Amy I had concentrated on the body of the email. She had to change things a few times. I should have concentrated on the full resume. My contact information has a boarder around it. It is not just one boarder around; there is one around my name, one around my phone number and one around my email address. I have tried to get rid of that boarder and I can't. I have tried to copy and past the body of the resume and I can't because it is linked to the boarder. I paid for a professional resume and I did not get that. I contacted Amy 3 months after she did my resume to let her know that I would like that boarder taken off because I can't do it. She responded by telling me "I am more than happy to help you even though we are outside of the company policy 7-Day editing time frame. I am not going to apply an editing fee to help you." I have not received anything back from Amy other than Amy now telling she can't take the boarder out and that I am just trying to get the services she provided for free. I can't use what she has created for me. It does not look professional with tables / boarders around every section of my resume. I will not recommend Amy. She does not stand behind her work and does not keep her word. read more

Amy Cheek does not know how to write effective resumes/cover letters. I sent her a resume that I created with the promise she was going to be "creative" and make the resume stand out from the crowd. 1. The cover letter felt rather generic. It was boring to read. The cover letter did not tell me anything. I could just look at my original resume (the one I created) instead of reading the cover letter. 2. The resume. It has errors, a lot of them (present tense instead of past tense, etc.). Again, it felt generic, a resume that did not stand out from the rest. She basically copied and pasted the resume I created plus she added lies about my previous duties. a) For example, she stated in the resume that I "Conducts investigations and examinations by performing analysis and research to enhance labor law compliance in the state." I was a federal investigator not a state investigator. She lied regarding my duties. b) Verbs for my past employers were in present tense instead of past tense. b) She stated at the end of my resume: References Available Upon Request. This should be an obvious. It's one of the biggest space-wasters and is completely unnecessary. If employers wanted references, they will ask me and I will produce such references when requested. When I requested for her to proofread the resume and cover letter she just "fixed" whatever I pointed before in my previous emails but she will leave the resumes with other errors. I decided to request a refund and she stated via email "What your doing is theft of services after receiving the final copies. I will be filing a report with the police and forward email correspondence to PayPal. " She definitely has a a dishonest scheme. This is fraud. read more
