They just didn't seem to understand what that dollar was for. This bank is the worse I have ever seen. I had a balance in my account and bought a cup of coffee…read moreand the statement said pending and I had plenty of money to cover the cost of the coffee. The balances said "pending" and Available" so it should have been set aside in reserve for when it came in. Instead they held it for days and after grocery shopping thinking I had a balance BBVA charged me $38 for the coffee! I called a rep at BBVA named Phillipe who said not to worry he would take care of it he never did. I called back and the supervisor said they would listen to my taped conversation with Phillipe and he promised it would be reimbursed. It never happened. I was lied to by BBVA reps, now it has exploded into a $400 overdraft. My local banker Bob said I would never get back the overdraft, to forget about it. I am done with BBVA and their gouging. NEVER bank with them. Until they keep their word I am not doing any business with them. I looked them up and they have several class action suits pending against them. Now they are saying they are going to charge me $23 additional for not paying the gouging charges. They are being taken over by PNC bank soon. Beware...just my opinion.

However apparently a regular that they knew when he came in they all said hello how are you they ignored my husband and me. When we went to open a checking account they told me they didn't believe my Social Security was my Social Security I had to go home and get my Social Security card and bring it back and then at that point I told him to forget it I've never in my life seen a bank so miserable period would not recommend this to anyone.
