I went looking for white sweet corn and boy did I find it. She asked how much I wanted and I told her 3 dozen with one dozen baged in 6's. Not only did she pick out great ears but she carried my corn out to my husbands truck for me. She had a surprise when she opened the back door of my truck and saw my Morkie looking at her and she shut that door real fast! LOL She has a fear of dogs and we put it in the back. FANTASTIC FARM STAND. The woman who owns the stand (I assumed) was insanely welcoming and warm. She chatted with us quite a bit as we shopped and helped us pick out the best, ripest of what we wanted. There was another woman working as well who was not as friendly, but luckily our experience wasn't bothered much by her lack of customer service. read more

Creekmore's Place has a stand at the hybrid indoor-outdoor Virginia Beach Farmer's Market. It sells seasonal local produce, shelled beans, and packaged goods such as preserves and honey. -- The Produce -- Creekmore's has its beautiful produce well-organized and stacked high in barrels and on tables. The produce all looked to be in good condition. -- The Experience -- It has signs requesting that you don't handle the produce, and I personally love that it hasn't all been handled by everyone! Initially I was unsure whether I could just gather what I wanted to buy or if I had to wait for assistance. The owner's family was friendly and helped us out. -- Seasonal Operating Hours -- * Creekmore's opens the last week of April and runs through the end of Dec. * During peak season, they open as early as 8am. During the transitional season, they're open 9am-5pm 7 days/week. They reduce their hours further into the winter. * Seem to be open on government holidays (Labor Day, July 4th). -- The Prices -- The prices are pretty clearly marked. They also had produce in grocery carts labeled "as is" with lower costs. -- The Purchase -- Our watermelon was ripe and delicious! Had the urge for fresh fruit and vegetables but had no desire to deal with the crowds in a grocery store. Creekmore's is the 1st stall and it was all I needed. Not only were the displays great the signage made me laugh Peaches "squeezing makes us ugly". Forgot to take pics but plan on going back today for more peaches, beans, corn, potatoes, watermelon, cantaloupes, tomatoes, kale, etc. Think I'm gonna need a bigger read more

Bought these today. Probably as close to perfection for Strawberries as you can get. Picked up two cartons and every single one is bright red to the core. A lot of care and pride seems to go into everything you can get here. It's always delicious, ripe, and fresh. Can't go wrong shopping produce at Creekmore's. read more

Here is the update: I found out that the folks in charge of this business not only slammed me, but didn't take responsibility for what they did. When I let someone else know something about the full story I put here, which I can back up with the insurance claims, they appreciated the more full story. This is sad. I used to patronize the businesses here a lot, but with competition, I've moved on elsewhere. So not only will I tell the truth on the business and how they responded, they only hurt other businesses in the group. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would!! The lady working the register, is nothing short of rude. If you want customers to come back and buy your product, little tip, don't be disrespectful. There are better ways to react and handle situations than you treated me today. You humiliated me in front of other people when I simply made a mistake and even apologized for it. Do you know you ruined my entire mood? I'm a nurse who just worked three 12 hour shifts at the hospital and all I wanted to do was enjoy our lovely farmers market. Instead, I got yelled at and belittled. Is it so hard to be kind? You never know what's going on in someone's life and your words can be the one thing that brings them to their breaking point. You call yourself a Christian? Maybe the next time you say "have a blessed day, " the least you can do is not say it with a condescending tone. Thanks for nothing.
