Disappointing experience. I drove from Pleasant Grove to Park City today to try out the church for…read morethe first time. I'm considering moving to Park City. I am used to churches that have one or more persons in front of the church's front door, welcoming people. They did not have that here. I also like to see someone inside the church, again welcoming people. Many churches even have a parishioner who seeks out new people to personally welcome them at the pews. None of that happens there. This was all a letdown. The loud music before the sermon began is what drove me away. I like a serene, peaceful church environment--at least before the sermon starts--and the loud rock Christian music made me anxious. I get it: many people like it. I'm not one of them. Did I mention that the place was crowded? No thanks. I will not be returning. I did not even make it to the sermon. I could not wait to get out of there.

She never answered our phone calls and when she did answer, she was hurtful and she scoffed at the donations I made because they weren't "enough". Her endless cruelty made me feel terrible. I wish I never tried to plan my Catholic wedding here. I recommend you avoid her at all costs.

We arrived 10 minutes early and helped the priest, Father John Norman, prepare the center for Mass by setting out chairs and other small tasks. Just a few minutes before 5:00 pm people arrived from out of nowhere it seemed. Mass was lovely. The 50 or so Mass goers where mostly travelers and where delightful. Mass was short because there were no hymns sung (no choir). About 40 minutes as I recall. The center has nice windows facing the snow covered Alta Ski Resort and makes a perfect place for worship. After Mass try eating dinner at the Shallow Shaft. I will come here for Mass any Sunday I ski at Alta.
