I absolutely HATE having to deal with teeth issues. I came here a long time ago to get not one, but two root canals on the same tooth. The office is very nicely decorated. It's calming. They offer bottled water and coffee while waiting to be seen. It's very clean and organized. The office staff is very friendly. The wait time is however long it takes you to fill out the paperwork. They are very quick at getting you back. The Dr has good bedside manners. He even jokes a little. He explains what needs to be done and why, then gives you the choice of how you'd like to be sedated if you'd like. He does make you feel very comfortable with the procedure. I have high anxiety when it comes to the dentist from past experiences, so it takes me being in a lot of pain to finally go. It was nice to know I had the option to be put to sleep, or be given some pills to calm me before I got there, then they would give me some other pills to put me to sleep. His assistant stayed in the room with me while I was filling more paperwork out for the anesthesiologists and she was very sweet. She answered all questions I had even if it didn't pertain to the procedure. I've only been here 5 months and my husband is being transferred again, so she was just being a friend to me since she could tell I was nervous and don't know anyone on the area. This was my second root canal procedure with Dr. Stubbs. He recommended Dental Wave technology which flushes water through the canal of the tooth and has a better success rate and less pain and healing time. I opted not to have nitrous oxide this time since I was feeling relaxed and confident that I didn't need it. I have had really bad anxiety in the past before and during dental procedures. Next time I would definitely get the nitrous since I was more relaxed with it and the procedure seemed to go by a lot faster. read more

I had such high anxiety coming in here today. I was ready to book an appointment for full sedation for my root canal. Strangely, after a few minutes of talking with dr. Stubbs, I felt like i could do the root canal without it. It was the first time in fifteen years I hadn't been sedated. He was just so reassuring and calm and I felt very very comfortable with him. I have extreme dental anxiety. To the point where I've avoided getting a root canal for months now. Finally, the pain overcame my fear. I decided to go to Creekside actually because the great reviews and the free nitrous oxide (laughing gas) offer I saw on their website. Dr. Stubbs and his team are phenomenal! They managed to make a root canal; typically a very stressful procedure, fun and enjoyable. Dr. Stubbs used a new procedure called gentlewave which left me having no pain or discomfort post-root canal. Dr. Stubbs recently performed a root canal on a tooth that was giving me problems. This tooth had already had a root canal done on it years ago by a different Dentist. He took the time to show me the different canals in my tooth and identified the canal that was causing the problem and that the previous dentist had missed. He walked me through the procedure and made me comfortable with what needed to be done and why. On the day of the procedure, he had a general dentist in the office who was shadowing and learning from Dr. Stubbs as he was interested in learning his techniques and possibly specializing in Endodontics. Dr. Stubbs made sure this was ok with me before proceeding. The procedure itself went as smooth as it possibly could have. I did not feel one ounce of pain the entire time I was in the chair! He frequently asked me how I was doing and checked to see if I was in pain. I had prepared myself for pain during the procedure like I had felt in the previous root canal procedure but it never came. He used the "Gentle Wave" method and it was amazing. I highly recommend it. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Stubbs. He is a straight shooter and took great care of me. His office staff were wonderful as well. Kierra at the front desk is very welcoming and made checking in a breeze. She even followed up a day after the procedure to see how I was doing. Root canals are no fun, but having one in this office actually makes them quite pleasant! Dr. Stubbs and his team made the time fly and helped to calm my frayed nerves. Dr. Stubbs kept me posted on how things were going every step of the way during the procedure. I came in with a cracked molar that probably cannot be saved for much longer, and Dr. Stubbs stopped and gave me options as he went in and determined the full extent of the damage. If anyone can save this tooth, I believe that he can, but he also gave me several opportunities to halt the procedure and try an implant if I wanted to go that direction. He was straightforward about limitations. I really appreciate that upfront quality in a provider. I don't expect miracles but I do expect an honest assessment. Update 3/8/2016: My husband had the unfortunate need to also see Dr. Stubbs last week, and he had the same awesome experience with this doctor. Other pros: - His assistants! These young ladies are the best. - Massage chairs and a soothing spa-like atmosphere with bottled water and a Keurig in the waiting area. - Not a single bit of pain. - Check out the Creekside Endodontics web site. I always do online research before choosing medical providers, and I liked how Creekside clearly outlined their financial policies and accepted insurance options. I am what you might call "high anxiety" when it comes to going to the dentist. Maybe it's the drills in my mouth, or the fact that my dentist from back home royally screwed up two crowns on my molars about six years ago. One tooth was so far gone I had to have it extracted a few years ago, and the other crown I finally replaced about a month ago (not at creekside, at clever dental.) While the crown they did was beautiful and far better than the one I had before, I found myself in even more pain than before! This is where Creekside swooped in and saved me! After accessing the situation, dr Stubbs told me I needed a root canal. My issues with this tooth go way back, so I was really hoping that this would be the end of the tooth pain that had been plaguing me for nearly 7 years now. I had the procedure yesterday and in spite of a little soreness, I am so relieved to say my molar is no longer in pain! For seven years it's been giving me hell and I finally feel relief!! Super unprofessional doctor and I'm having major complications from the root canal. The girls in the office are super nice, but the Dr. was not very professional with them or me. This was my first root canal and not one time during the procedure did he say what he was doing, how it was going, etc. Dr. S. just chatted with his staff about their holiday party plans and had a song lyric's debate with a few of the gals. I'm also having major complications on the tooth and had to see a different doctor because I was uncomfortable going back. Just had my second root canal performed by Dr. Stubbs and I couldn't recommend him more! He's got a great sense of humor, and the conversation he had with his assistant during the procedure was very entertaining to listen to. Almost wish it didn't have to end, haha. I had a cavity filled a week ago at my dentist which resulted in ongoing increasing pain; I needed a root canal. My dentist scheduled me for a root canal a full 7 days away.. after two days the pain was so bad I couldn't wait. Pain medication did absolutely nothing, I NEEDED a root canal asap. Called up Creekside and explained the problem; they were able to perform a root canal 2 hours from the time I had called; even though this was an inconvenient time for Dr. Stubbs. Had to have my first root canal done. Dr. Stubbs and staff are a really great group. Very pleasant and updated interior, made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Dr.Stubbs recently aquired a new machine to assist with root canals. Let me tell you, after the novacaine wore off, I had zero, I mean zero discomfort of any sorts, not even tenderness, nothing! 4 hours later I went to a concert at Red Rocks, and my friends were very surprised how well I was feeling, or that I still went. I didn't even take a Tylenol or Advil after I left his office, and still haven't 3 days later. One of my roots wasn't where it should have been, so extra drilling was needed. Still no after pain ( 2.5 hours of work). The entire process has taken my intimidation from root canals, and will most certainly be returning when needed. Thanks Creekside! read more

I have had the unfortunate need for two root canals in my life. The first one about 8 years ago was done by a denstist I had never met before when I was away for collage. I remember it being supper painful for a week and I moved on. The second was needed about two years ago, my dentist seem like it was a supper routine thing, but about half way through he stopped and told me it was too complex!!! so I left with a supper painful tooth and an imcomplete treatement. He refered me to one of his Endodontic friends, who ended up telling me the soonest they could see me was in about 6 weeks, eventhough i was in pain!!! I happend to find Creekside Endodontics on a google search, read some reviews and gave it a shot. Finding them was the best thing that could have happened!! They got me into to see Dr. Stubbs the same day. He expertly completed the root canal and I left with an incredible mild pain! i took one ibuprofen and that was it!! i could have been happier. Unfortunately the first root canal that i had 8 years ago started acting up, and this time I skipped my general dentist and went straight to Creekside. With their in office Cone Beam imaging Dr. Stubbs was able to see that there was a root in my molar that is not readily visable on regular x-rays that the first dentist had not treated at all, he took time to explain the imaging to me, and give me his recommendation. The infection was pretty bad, and one of the roots was clearly fracture, so we decided to go ahead with an Apicoectomy. You would think that having an in-clinic minor surgical procedure would be horrible, but Dr. Stubbs is clearly a pro! the whole procedure went great, he got everything numb and I didnt need any other sedation. Even with this this extensive procedure the pain was very minimal, nothing like the original root canal, i was pain free with just a couple ibuprofen a day. Everything has gone great!!! The staff at this place have also been great, extremely friendly and always helpful. Then work with my busy schedule and most importantly they have worked with difficult dental insurance. Its usually headache when I get dental work to get everything with my insurance worked out, but the staff at Creekside got everything taken care of without missing a beat If you need an Endodontist, dont hesitate, go to Creekside. You can take your chances with a general dentist, but take it from me, if you want it done rigth Dr. Stubbs is who you have to see. read more

Dr. Stubbs is fantastic! I had to get a root canal re-treat, which failed the first attempt (not due to Dr. Stubbs' treatment) this resulted in a need for a Apicoectomy. The procedure was done by Dr. Stubbs he has a beautiful office VERY friendly and funny staff. Dr. Stubbs is also quite funny, and has a way of making one feel very safe and well informed. Dr. Stubbs also made sure I was comfortable during the procedure (he offers oral as well as other types sedation for nervous ones such as myself) he also made sure I as comfortable after the procedure. He even met me ON A SUNDAY yes that is a SUNDAY, to make sure things were going okay when I had ongoing pain. Dr Stubbs really goes the extra mile for his patients. Okay, let's face it...no one likes getting dental work done, especially a root canal, am I right? The upside is that Dr. Stubbs is a rockstar! He was funny, welcoming, he explained everything very thoroughly, and he made sure I wasn't in any pain. My body just eats up the numbing stuff...so needless to say he was very patient. Also, I have to give him kudos for his teaching style. He was teaching his assistant things throughout the procedure, and was very helpful when she didn't know the answer. The man had jokes for days, and he lets you pick what kind of music you want to jam out to while you're in the chair. The staff was also very friendly and everyone was professional without being too serious and stoic. I just had a root canal with Dr. Stubbs--and he truly is a gifted doctor. It was painless; I have seen other endodontists before and they were not even to close to as good Dr, Stubbs. My root canal was pretty complicated because I had decay close to the nerve and two curvy nerves; he did it perfectly. He is also a kind guy--and truly wants to get you out of pain; he cares. I recommend him wholeheartedly. His staff is also amazing. Nicole at the front desk is so kind--and his assistants put you at ease as well. All in all, I had a fantastic experience. I had a root canal done today. I was NOT looking forward to it, but it had to be done, the pain far outweighed my fear of it! The office was very soothing, that was a plus. The receptionist knows her stuff, I asked her several questions before I had the procedure done and she could confidently answer them all. Dr. Stubbs' assistant was also very pleasant and upon hearing my message this morning that I needed to get the procedure done sooner than later (I was scheduled for an appt. next week) she fit me in today. Needless to say, all the reviews are spot on. Very pleasant, very comforting and I was not in pain! They are thorough and know what they are doing. I enjoyed their funny conversations and yes, they have Pandora, so choose whatever you'd like! I would recommend them over a dentist that can also perform a root canal for sure :) P.S - I have NEVER posted a review for anything, so that should tell you all something too! I don't mind getting a root canal since I get a comfy massage chair, a blanket, and good music.
