We were a little confused when we saw it was a golf club but it's open to the public. The food is awesome. We got a few appetizers. Truffle fries. Battered zucchini flowers which I had never had before. Those were so good. If you get a side salad with a sandwich instead of fries it's still a large helping. Most times when you sub out you get a weak salad. My friend got the sugar bacon burger which he said was awesome. That's kinda what I wanted but then I panic picked the blackened tuna sandwich. Which was delicious so I'm not upset. Wife got a taco salad that came in a large corn chip bowl. Tons of chicken on it. Very large portions. An absolute gem located in the country area Salem NJ. Part of the golf club that's located right behind the restaurant as well for a nice view of the greens. We were waited on right away by the sweetest lady that was also controlling the bar area. Plenty of room for functions which they have regularly during the week. The food was top notch so delicious. My pretzel bun gouda filet sandwich has to be the best sandwich I've had in a bit. Some would say it's... so Gouda! The night we went there was live music and a buffet that included peel and eat shrimp, barbecue chicken, ribs, and lots of sides. I decided on the buffet and it was good. My husband had a burger and fries that he enjoyed. Service was to be expected. The girls also enjoyed the buffet and the dessert that came with the buffet particularly the mini macarons. Met my parents here for dinner on a Saturday night. My dad had a reservation. It wasn't super busy but got busier the longer we sat. Our server was really nice, but everything took a long time to come out. I think we sat for two hours and that was not by choice. I'd wanted dessert but we sat for so long that I changed my mind at the end so we could get out of there with our tired kid. I had mussels with linguine in garlic & oil, my mom had a Thai salad off the special list, my dad had chicken parm, my son had macaroni and cheese and I can't recall what my husband had but I know he really enjoyed it. And everyone was pretty pleased for the most part once the food finally came out. My son wasn't a big fan of the Mac and cheese, my husband and I both enjoyed it a lot though. We also all enjoyed our drinks, though they took a while to come out also. It's a nice spot overall and I will likely return. I enjoy looking out overall the course and enjoy the club vibe. Nice facility but the food was disappointing. The chili was pretty bad, way too many beans and too much sugar and no heat. the coffee was very good so maybe i ordered the wrong thing. Arrived at the restaurant at 7:40pm and ordered a drink and appetizers. Got ready to order our meal and we were told that the kitchen decided to close early. There were other people in the restaurant and the bar area. I understand that the place closes at 9 but to be told to hurry just was not acceptable. When I was younger and worked in a restaurant, if someone came in late, you took their order and waited until they were done. The appetizers were very good and the take out was enjoyable. My advise is to come in at least 2 hours before closing-no later than 7. read more

I've been here a few times with friends to grab dessert and drinks, and also for work lunch/dinner. Every time I had great service, food, and drinks. They have a great specialty cocktail menu with fresh ingredients. It's very open and spacious so there is plenty if room to sit and enjoy all this restaurant has to offer. We happened upon Creekside Inn when we were looking for a place to have a few drinks and dinner while meeting our relatives halfway between where we live in Jersey and where they live in Delaware. We called and were told we HAD to make a reservation for a Tuesday evening. When we entered we were legitimately the only table in the entire place. People sat at the bar, but the restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays and empty. It kind of made me sad. We sat down and a few of the members of our party ordered alcoholic beverages. We were immediately told the only way we could order alcohol is if we filled out the membership paperwork. Then, we would have to wait 72 hours to order anything other than wine or beer. To have wine or beer that evening, you'd have to fill out the paperwork. The explanation was very confusing and the server apologized that no one explained this over the phone when we called to make our reservation. I totally get why they wouldn't explain it ahead of time. It's so confusing you'd basically need a Power Point presentation and a 3D model to understand how you could get a beverage from the bar. But I digress... We all ended up ordering iced teas. We also ordered the truffle fries and fried pickles for the table. The fried pickles were some of the best we've had, and we've tried them at a LOT of places. So we no longer cared about the whole drink debacle. It was $2 off Burger Tuesday so we all ordered speciality burgers. All the burgers and ingredients seemed fresh and well prepared. The crab bisque left something to be desired, but the burgers were good and the servers were attentive. If you're riding through Woodstown and you don't mind going alcohol free, it's a decent option ( especially since there aren't many options lol). read more

I'm giving Creekside Inn three stars based more on my mom's experience than my own today. We went to Bull on the 19th Pub for an early dinner. This was our second attempt at the place. A few months back, we had a pretty awful meal here. Still, in the spirit of hopefulness, we drove on over and picked out seats overlooking the golf course (very pretty) in the near empty dining room. The only other table occupied was a group of rowdy middle-aged men getting their St. Patty's drink on. I decided to get the chips with cheese and chicken quesadilla appetizers. Both, I'm sad to say, were rather tasteless. My mom made the right move -- choosing the chicken fried chicken. It was so big that she ended up giving me half of it. I'd definitely recommend that dish. With a location right on Route 40, I'm surprised that it was so empty! read more

Came here for my mom's birthday dinner. All around bad. From the start, the signage wasn't exactly prominent. We pulled in and began to try to figure out where we are supposed to park. It was dark and parking was not well marked. The general ambience was nice, but when we joined our party of 6 we were sat at a very large round banquet table. There were several extra seats and it was a bit awkward choosing where to sit. Our server was quick to greet us and get our drink order. We could barely hear her (or one another over the DJ), but we were surprised when we heard her ask us if Sam Adams Oktoberfest was a cider. Our drinks came quickly. While we waited for our food a man who was with a large group of what-seemed regulars sat down at our table (right on top of my hat) and proceeded to tell us several dirty jokes. He visited multiple times, but no one wanted to upset my mother so we politely tolerated him. And then came the food... This is the part that just disappointed over and over. No silverware, so for the first minute or so of the food being on the table, we just stared at it and waited for something to eat it with. Out of six people, the most polite person at the table was the only one who didn't have a problem with their food and we suspect it's because they are so very polite. Whomever was cooking could not seem to get temperatures right. My dad's soup and cheese steak special were both cold. My brother's steak which he ordered medium-rare came medium-well. My mother's filet was ordered well and came medium. She ended up trading my brother's sirloin for her fillet. On her birthday! My fiancé's shrimp were raw. Somehow my brother's crab cake was forgotten. I ordered a portabello burger with no cheese. It came with cheese. It was literally all over the place and a disaster. My fiance left with out eating because she was so grossed out. I began to feel sorry for our server because it seemed like she needed to apologize for something every two minutes. She was very kind to try to make us happy, but the desserts that we accepted we're pretty awful. In fact, we all got the impression that the food was poor quality to begin with. We wanted to give two stars instead of one because the ambience isn't too bad, the bathrooms were clean, and our server was fast and apologetic. Might be an ok place to drink, but for the love of God do not eat here. We will not be returning. read more

5 stars for the friday happy hour special, 1/2 priced burgers and they happen to be the best burgers in Jersey. One of the best I have had in my life. We go as much as possible. Having moved to Pilesgrove a little over a year ago we were delighted to find this local spot and we pop in at least once a week. After becoming a member of the social club you are able to order drinks. While the staff is really good - always very attentive I have to say Keri makes a great Mule and Manhattan and is one of the only places that we actually order them. Steve and team are creative with the specials they offer and the standard menu has lots of choices! The wait staff is very friendly and always on point. Used to love this place when it was Rushes, but sadly a big frustrating disappointment as Creekside. All the novel gourmet upscale items are gone from the menu, which leaves burgers, standard fare, and lots of fried appetizers. Biggest dismay was how anti-vegetarian they are; no veg burger option first two times here (they say they will add), and despite the hostess' assurances that they can "make something up for you" we got literally incredulous stares, disgusted hmmphs, rolled eyes, and hedging "I don't know"s when asking for small veg-friendly changes (eg vegs listed on the menu substituted for meat in pasta dishes; not a welcoming feeling at all. Meat-eating companions also found food mediocre and service very slow and confused. Hope they get their act together; has the potential to be great if they'll consider client feedback. read more

This particular location has seemed to change hands a number of times, but it is currently at its best. I LOVE the "Fat Boy" burger. A thick burger piled with mushrooms, bacon, onion rings, and cheese with two grilled cheese sandwiches for the buns. Yes, you read that correctly, two grilled cheese sandwiches. It is always cooked to perfection and perfect for sharing (if you're like me you can finish it all yourself and watch people gape at you in awe). The location is clean, staffed with friendly people, and provides a nice atmosphere. On Friday nights, they also have live music! It's also great for private events. I've attended a few here for various reasons, and you can tell the staff and owners care about providing the guests with a good time. Enjoyed my small cup of soup of the day: Italian wedding soup which I paired with the small pear and blue cheese salad. The salad had lots of blue cheese, pears were crunchy and not overly ripe, and candied walnuts for more texture ( and taste). Wonderful salad and so reasonable. Had our daughters wedding shower there on Derby Day and they did an excellent job. The service and food were fantastic. The office and serving staff were very polite and helped us with all of our needs. I heard comments from all the guest about how nice it was, and the brunch was outstanding. As a former Employee of this establishment, "The Rushes" and now "Creekside" "Bull on the !9th" I can assure you this review is !00%! unbiased...I cant get fired for this...LMBO! This restaurant has had more than its fair share of "BULL" (Pun Intended), HOWEVER... I can honestly attest to the the determination of all... Owner, Management, Chefs, and Staff. This Restaurant wants you to leave happy, full, and with every intention of returning! Chef Steve, & Chef Mo have Re-Worked the menu, to provide the best possible Dining Experience, their dedication to quality and affordability is what keeps the locals coming, while enticing travelers to "stop by" every time they pass by. The Food is AMAZING, the seasonal Daily Specials are of a caliber expected in Philly, or NYC. The one caveat, is a Liquor Licence... If you plan to visit "Creekside" please take the time to visit their website and fill out an (incredibly short and simple) Social Club application, I'm pretty sure it is still free, and well worth the 2 minutes it takes. The food was great, however the service was horrid.. We were put on the outside of the main dinning room. Rebecca our waitress seemed to forget we were there. The food was dropped off and she was gone. We had to wave her down for water witch after asking for it there was another 10 min. wait to get it. Ask for the check 10 min. wait. After getting the check we waited another 10 min. finally got up and we were leaving, she runs up and says do you want me to take that for you (the check). When she gives us the check she says thanks for your patience. I gave her a 10% tip which I am sorry I did - nothing would have been better. I may add that the time we were there we saw her talking socially with customers, joking, hugging generally acting as though at a social affair rather then her JOB.. Great location, beautiful facility and views but service is bad. And food is hit or miss. Chef needs to be inspired, seems tired and bored. Bartender tries to be at the bar and working floor and it doesn't work. The wait time is way to long. Waitress turn around is to much. We were told chef and manager changed, so we decided to give Bull on 19th another try. Visited the restaurant twice in the last two months and both visits the French fries were cold and the soup was warm, at best. Chicken sandwich was very good our first visit, hard and cold (like it had been sitting around) the last meal.
