THIS COMPANY IS FULL OF LIARS - WISH I WOULD'VE READ THE YELP REVIEWS FIRST I promise if you read mine in full, that you will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY I was told before I signed up with crest financial that once we paid off our loan that they would report it to equifax and if I paid it off on time it should improve my credit score.I paid them off months ago, and called in today to find out why my payments and history with crest financial are NOT SHOWING UP ON EQUIFAX AT ALL. equifax told me that they are not a business that even reports to them, and that they would simply have to call number to sign up with equifax as a registered business so they could report directly with them and all my information would be reported right away, and then my credit score would improve dramatically due to all my on time payments and paying them in full early. so I called back to crest financial and they finally told me they're not actually registered with equifax, but through a 3rd party that reports to equifax with them.they said, and i quote "I just spoke with our credit reporting department, and they said our third party reports to equifax within 30-90 days, and equifax chooses whether or not to show that information on your credit report" YET 1 MORE LIE FROM THIS SHAM OF A COMPANY I've spent time on the phone with equifax, and they report all information that comes their way. I was told by a supervisor at equifax that when this company sends my report in, it will show up, and will have a positive effect on my credit report.so i ask to speak to a supervisor. When she got on the phone, she told me that they report to a 3rd party company who decides to report to equifax or not, to which i asked, why don't you just report to equifax? are you guys not a company that equifax will even do business with? she said she didn't know, and so I told her to find out.when she came back she told me that the 3rd party company reports to equifax and equifax decides whether or not to report. I said, "you just told me the 3rd party company decides. you just lied to me again. don't waste your time with this company. it's not worth the hassle. Also, i find it pretty entertaining that the only 2 positive reviews here on yelp are from a company they approve loans for and one of their employees. WOW. that's pathetic OH, and on top of all of that... THIS PART'S REALLY FREAKIN CRAZY. BUNCH OF CROOKS I setup the payment plan to make sure my balance was paid in full within the 90 days so that I didn't end up paying $4400 for a $2200 pool table. when you originally sign up they put you on an automated payment plan to pay it off of a year with a low weekly payment, and that weekly payment ends up costing you 100% interest. mine was $87.36, and I set it up to pay $188.70 a week so it was paid off in 90 days so I no interest. and some really weird thing happened. my payments were coming out every week like clockwork. eventually i just stopped really paying attention to them coming out. and about 3 weeks before i was supposed to be paid in full I realized that the payments somehow magically stopped being pulled about 3 weeks earlier. when i called in to ask about it, they had no idea why their system could have malfunctioned and stopped pulling money from my payment plan I set up. I said, well, since your system messed up and stopped pulling do I get an additional 3 weeks to pay this off? NO SIR I"M SORRY, you have to pay in full by your due date or else we'll be charging you the full interest. so I had to start making double payments just so I didn't get charged almost $2200 in interest. in fact, I made sure to pay it off 10 days early just to make sure their system didn't mess up on my final due date and somehow magically i owed all that interest because their system messed up in some other way. Financed my furniture through Crest financial JUST so I could add more accounts to my credit. I was told before had that the reported to the credit bureau and that this would be done on the 5th of every month. Fast forward 6 months later NOTHING was sent, and I've completely paid them off 3 months ago. Every time I talk to someone I'm customer service they tell me something else. First that their systems to send the information was down and that it would be completed as soon as that problem was fixed then next that they never had a problem and that they weren't sure who told me that (words from a supervisor.) I think they are wrongfully drawing people in with the premise to report to the credit bureaus without be capability to. I've called on about 6/7 different occasions and was blown off saying it will show up next month. I would of NEVER financed if I knew they couldn't report I had all the cash. Please anyone let me know if you encountered any of these same problems. I'm wondering if I can sue them to get back all the finance charges occurred since they explicitly lied! read more

I made the mistake of purchasing some sub-par furniture from Roses when I moved to the area. Even though I wasn't pleased with the product months in, payments were made regularly and on time. Recently the card payments were made against was compromised and several unauthorized charges were made to it. The replacement card was delivered on Friday and my payment was due on Friday. I explained to the CSR what occurred and she stated I would be charged $25 for return payment. Mind you I made the payment that was due on the old card. If you look at a customer's payment history and they have less than two months to pay off a year agreement, you would think customer service would provide customer service. There was no courteous or sympathy given. It was more like "Ooh you didn't have the money". First and last time doing business. read more

Yesterday was a miserable, regretful day for me. I made a HUGE MISTAKE. I signed a lease using this company. When I called to ask a question about the numbers to my horror the rep didn't know how to explain. He had to send a "request" to get an explanation. It took him 30++ minutes to be able to give me a clear answer. Having said that, STAY AWAY from this company. They are highway robbers. I should have read all the reviews before i signed that damn lease. They should inform customers that basically your approved amount will be doubled and that they will charge you way beyond what the taxes should be. SCAM!!!!! UPDATE... Crest is charging me 7.25% in taxes EVERY month. My state's tax is 6.75%. These people are thieves. It's unfortunate that using CREST FINANCIAL is the only way for some of us to get what we need. Here's a novel idea...the reps needs more training so they can solve the problems with facts instead of off the top if their heads. Learn some math. Do not use this company! They took a double unauthorized payment out of my bank account and screwed me for $342.00, plus all the payments that bounced in my account because of that error. They refused to refund the extra payment, and after alot of complaining over the phone, they said they would refund the money but within 5 business days, and that I needed to send a copy of my bank draft to show the funds were processed!! They made the mistake, and therefore need to pay for their lack of intelligence. That is not acceptable business! Somebody there had one job to do and they F@@@@@@ it up! Even if it means your child has to starve, don't use this company. From what I read, they hide things in the fine print. From my experience, they let a fraudulent loan get processed using some of my information. Plenty of others have reviewed them with similar stories of scams or identity theft, like myself. It's absolutely not worth it. 6 months later and the account was "charged off". I never opened an account with them. My information was stolen and I can't get them off of my credit report. Do not use this company to get a loan. If you happen to get scammed by them through identity theft, don't contact them. They will try and scam more information from you. read more

This business is a scam and a shame I had a god furniture for 1500 and the store said my tax will be 1900 and when I called them they said no your furniture is 2500 but I only got apposed for 2100 I let them take money out of my account for every two weeks then they changed the dates where my money was supposed to come out. They lied and said they don't have my payment stubs which I have proof when I did my financing in the furniture store that I did turn in my payment stubs on the days I get paid i seen the lady faxed over pay stubs to them. And they said if you don't pay within the 90 days the furniture I got would be $4,000. The furniture is cute but not worth no $4,000 I went to other furniture places with 90 days finance and never had to pay that much save your time and your money do not Finance through them they will rip you off read more

This company is very Deceiving! When I had signed up I wasn't given a contract or explain the rules of the 90 day agreement Apparently! Later told me that there was a 10% C charged on top of my products that I was paying for if I had paid it off in the 90 day agreement that was arranged. But I had to call and enquire about this after I had totalled up my payments, I noticed something was off. They told me That it wasn't necessary to tell me about the 10% feet additional to what I'm already paying. And this is the 2nd time that I've had a problem with this company, in 60 days. The 1st time was when I was told I didn't have to pay sales tax and simply just pay for the products , which obviously sounded weird. Don't trust this company. I had to refinance to buy a new bed set. The store decided to refund the bed set because it was not delivered after more than 2 weeks. I called the financial department after speaking with the mattress store they had said they sent over an email to refund bed set. Crest Financial said it will take 5 business and they will charge the payment amount and then refund after another 5 business days. So it takes 14 business to take care of this issue? I financed a 2200 dollar mac computer thru Crest Financial and paid the bill off in 3 months of time. After my last payment which should have closed or made my account "paid in full"...I saw another unauthorized debit of 228.75 in my account which caused an overdraft fee on top of the debit. The one thing that upset me was they said, "you didnt call in to tell us you made a payment"...Rather than clear this matter up immediately - they're asking that I send in proof via statements and the reverse of fees will take up to 5-10 days on their own screw up. Currently I can't deposit my work check because of the negative amount and overdraft fee Crest Financial caused. I AM SO FURIOUS AT THIS POINT. Every time I get on the phone to talk to a customer service representative I have to be on hold or be called back because they have to talk to someone else to figure out what's wrong. And I'm ALWAYS getting told hidden information and taxes that were not covered in my agreement. Also, when I make a payment they don't add the taxes like I ask...so I have extra taxes to pay. Let's not forget that I can't access my online account! I've tried getting it resolved about 6 times in less than a year. If there was a choice of no stars...this place would definitely have that rating! read more

I'll be honest, I am writing on behalf of our mattress store SleepRite, and thank God, I am in awe with the blessing I received to be able to work with Crest. At first I was a little skeptical of their program but after having the most smooth process with my most recent customer, they are the best financing company I have dealt with thus far. The other company I was working with did not charge $40 upfront to my customers, but at the end of the day it took 14 pages to print out of my printer but 2 weeks worth of waiting to receive our money for our transaction. And with Crest, they are on top of their technology, so the whole process was done that day. Plus they had to update some of our info and even with that they delivered their services promptly and made our customer and even us happy with the transaction! Now that's financing! read more

If I would have done my reasearch I would have never gone through this company. My husband and I were told that we were financing $200 left to pay on our bedroom set. I thought it would be a good idea because it wasnt much to pay and it would boost my credit. However, the financing was a lie. We have been paying them since February, and they were still requesting payments with well over $200 paid. So we called to find out, that we were not being financed, but we were put on a 12 mnth furniture rental lease charging us an extra $250 on top of the $200 we owed. I've bought furniture through them twice they first time i was given a $1200 limit after i paid them off in 90 days (same as cash) They offered me an increase of $3500 I used it to finance about $2900 worth of furniture which i also paid off in 90 days theyre a great company if u need the furniture now but cant pay it all at the time i thought of it as a layaway while they were deducting about $70 from my bank account weekly my balance was decreasing and I was saving to be able to pay them off by my 90 day due date if u dont pay them off by the 90 days u will be paying double for whatever you financed which really sucks but its like financing anything its a shame they are no longer with badcock if not i would be taking out more furniture with them read more

They truly want to help people with little or no credit to buy items they need. They also are placing retailer education as a very high priority. Absolutely HORRIBLE company!!!!! I had a lease through this company for my furniture. They said they had to setup automatic payments, every two weeks, which I had no issue with. On March 7th, I paid off my furniture early and was told by a representative that the automatic payments will be stopped. My business was complete with Crest Financial. On March 17th they continued to take out the automatic payment. I was in shock and furious. I called Crest Financial, on March 19th, and was told by a representative that the automatic payments were NOT canceled and that I will receive my money back with-in 5 to 7 days. Today is March 29th and I have NOT received the money back. I just got off the phone with them and was told that my refund was NEVER submitted in the system and that I have to wait another 5 to 7 days. This company has the WORST customer service I have EVER received. Not only did they steal my money, they won't even give it back. After sitting on hold for 19 minutes, I was finally able to speak to the supervisor on duty named "Niesha". She was not helpful at all and did not offer to try and get my money refunded faster. I sat on hold to speak to a supervisor who told me the exact same thing the rep said..... wow.... BAD BUSINESS! DONT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! Yes forced and non-concentual when I bent over to pick up my checkbook. Color me stupid and naïve but I thought Financial institutions no matter how small and insignificant where straight flyers and actually had ethical intentions. Not Crest financial those people will screw you if your not on your game and might I add ,you can forget about any caressing or even a lousy kiss. Lubrication is out the door too. The following is an example of the what Crest Financial tried to do to me an average, common garden variety, runathemill Joe consumer type. Went to Louie's picked out a fridge and a dishwasher struck a deal when the smoke cleared I owed 1067.00 I plooped down 200 leaving 867.00 as a financable amount. Loaded my app. and sped home, couple days later got an email for Crest which was about 4 inches wide and 2 miles long. Typical small loan double talk and fine print and of course my payment schedule. I opted for 4 payments of 207.00 with an final 37 bucks and it would be mine. 8 weeks past and they got their money. Wow, understatement, they got their money alright and some of mine when those bastards tried to take another 207.00, tried HELL they did. Rang em up and told them to take off their shoes and socks because we'll probably gonna be counting past 10. Enlightened them about where we were moneywise and here it comes, oh there's a 10% finance charge on the total if you pay it off to soon. I'm thinking lady you better be glad they haven't developed the technology to slap another person thru the phone, cause iffin they did you'd be the first recepient. Told them it was my understanding the loan was interest free up to 90 days and had never heard of any early penalties. She lets out a big sigh and told me "you signed the lease agreement". Got news for you lady im also going to be signing B of A''s fraud avidavidt. Kept it clean and we got off the phone without incident. Payment was in process status so the bank couldn't make any moves until the following day. Well the bank didn't have to do squat, the stupid bastards must of got scared, they put my 207.00 back in my account. Went to the Crest site, loan paid in full. This victory was not bitter sweet.... pure cane sugar all the way BaaaBee. Restored my faith in good versus evil, what ya mean which one am I ?...... This is the most unprofessional, dishonest business I have ever dealt with. After in good faith purchasing a bed frame (and intended to purchase two mattress covers that were never delivered). I have spent weeks attempting to communicate the mattress store I had made a purchase thru which never delievered two of the three items. I think they are running out of money because their approvals have been for only $200 for the last couple weeks when they used to fund more like $1500. They only use a computer system to figure approvals and will not look deeper into possible higher approvals. read more

I worked for this company. They have crazy lease fees and know they are over charging customers. They do not treat employees fairly, and have a HUGE problem with NEPOTISM. They dont care how hard you work, and if you do work hard they take advantage of you. Really, dont use them or work for them. They claim to be a great company but it is not worth your time!!
