Overall GREAT community Lee and Kim are there for whatever you need. The nurses are highly resourceful and attentive. CNA are always around to help and are friendly. All therapists are highly skilled and caring. From the front door to the back this is an incredible facility. read more

Currently working on having my mom transferred out of this disgusting rehabilitation center. Dirty from the moment you walk in. My mom was told they could not give her nighttime medication because the pharmacy was to far away. when I walked in not one staff member looked me in the eye. Social worker is very kind. Nurses are not considerate. The smell of vomit and urine permeates through the center. Do not believe the pictures! How this is State approved is beyond me. Stay away! read more

Would you send an elderly dementia patient recovering from a broken hip into a doctor's appointment by herself without informing the family, including the Power of Attorney, of the appointment ahead of time? Because the staff at Crestview would! It looks like they're going by Genesis Healthcare now to avoid the bad reviews, but don't be fooled. You're hit by the smell of pee as soon as you walk in. The halls are crowded and dark, and the rooms are depressing. The staff do not care about anyone--they'll bump into the bed a hip injury patient is on while they conduct their assessments and mumble, "sorry" while doing it again. We found out my grandmother with dementia was sent to her doctor's appointment because they left the paper with the visit reminder on her tray table for us to find hours after the appointment happened, even though we were there every day and they even had the contacts of our memory care facility if they really didnt want to talk to us. When confronted, their excuse was, "Oh, we thought we told you. The doctor should call you with the results." A hip-injury dementia patient. Sent into a doctor's appointment alone. With no family aware until after it happened. We had to argue with them all day and call her caretakers from her memory care facility to get them to let us take her out of this hellhole. No doubt because they would lose the money, not because they had any consideration for her wellbeing. After all, they didn't even know what the doctor told her... And of course, she couldn't even remember going, let alone what she was told. If I could give no stars, I would. read more

This is the place people and dreams go to die. This place is absolutely terrible. The nursing staff is horrible. They let your loved one sit in their own soil and so they will eventually get bed sores and die of Sepsis. I wish no stars were an option. My Mom is gone now and it's because she died here, on the worst conditions possible. I would've loved to have taken her home, but they wouldn't let me. I never signed her in there and now they're suing us for the cost of her care. read more

My 89 yr old mother was put in Crestview for rehab.4 days later my sister and I had to go in there like 2 tornados and pull her out. She is under doctor supervision to help her overcome the stress and negligence she endured in this short time. I can't even give this place 1 star. She was actually traumatized by this experience. read more

I submitted a scathing review for Crestview's food quality and service... horrendous! As for the staff, care, attention, professionalism the polar opposite. Fantastic people. Truly top notch. Crestview Center - Rehabilitation Center Near Me - Langhorne, Pennsylvania

My husband is currently in Crestview rehab (May 13, 2024). I had my reservations about this rehabs after reading all the previous reviews, but, rest assured, it's a very good place to recover from the hospital. Wonderful staff, incredible social worker, Vickie. They take good care of the patients. Food is just everywhere else. It's good. Not a five star restaurant but tasty enough. I tasted some and I know good food since I cook all the time at home. Physical therapy is provided as scheduled, 5 days a week, paid by Medicare. Nurses are great, caring individuals. Aids are very helpful and polite. He gets a shower twice a week. My husband is unable to walk on his own yet, had trouble getting out of the wheel chair and had no strength in his legs when he was admitted after 2 weeks of hospital stay with heart condition. After 4 days, he can stand up and walk a little with a walker. Baby steps, but he was bed-bound before. I highly recommend this rehab. Would I send my husband back there again? Would give it zero stars if I could. Nightmare of an experience with my dad. Short-staffed and inexperienced, one of the aides was high/drunk (they said he won't be back), dad's back brace was put on backwards multiple times, he is pre-diabetic but no restrictions on food/desserts. First time I showed up to visit no one could tell me where my dad was and it took 20 minutes to find him. Had to force the issue and fight with Crestview to get him out of there. If the state hasn't investigated this place, it should. read more

There will be no stars for this facility. I had to check off at least 1 star or I could not post this. They do not deserve even 1 star. I was there for 2 weeks and i almost died. They watched me shake all over to the point of dropping everything handed to me. For 2 days i was so sick i could not even call my family. My 84 year old roommate was very concerned but all she could do was yell for help. The staff when they did come in did not know how to work the oxygen or my cpap machine. When they acknowledged her screaming for help, they came in and told her to mind her own business and keep her mouth shut. She was very upset, asking them where their respect was for her at 84 years old. My sister came, took a look at me, and asked the nurse if we could see the doctor. The nurse responded that the doctor was not in, and he kept his own schedule coming into the facility when he wanted to. So my sister asked if they could call an ambulance because she thought i was pretty sick. The nurse came in and took my vitals and told my sister that i was fine. She told my sister that they can't call the ambulance without the doctor's permission. That was the last straw for my sister. She called the ambulance and within 5-10 minutes, i was being put into the ambulance and all of my belongings were packed up and in the car. I was crying on the way out, having to leave my elderly friend there with such horrible care. After several tests at the hospital i was informed that i had congestive heart failure. I was taken care of with medicine and other procedures. If my sister did not come, i would have died there. They were not paying attention to my symptons. This Facility is advertised as a long term NURSING home, a LEVEL 3 REHAB, which meaning 3 hours/day of physical therapy.  They also state that they are a licensed pain management facility.     I had spine stabilization from my pelvis up to Thoracic 2 vertebrae at Jefferson University.  I had multiple pieces of hardware from my sacrum to T 2 level. A plastic surgeon cut muscle from the ribs in the back and pulled each side to midline of the spine to pad the midline surgical site.   A total of 4 Jaxon-Pratt drains were places under the muscle to drain fluid until the muscle heals.     I was one of 5 new Admissions when I arrived. put into a bed, vital signs taken. Not given a NURSING call bell, NO orientation to the room, NO sink in room, one bathroom shared by four patients with NO locks, NO vacancy notification signs, etc.     7p.m. I asked for pain med. My back was hurting so bad.  I was told that there were NO NARCOTICS for pain, NO PHYSICIAN AT THIS FACILITY, and NO PHARMACY.  The orders are entered into the computer.  A doctor is called at his home to VERIFY THE ORDERS, then the orders are sent to a  a PHARMACY one hour away,. A currier brings all of the medications the next day.    By 12mn, I walked with my walker to the Nurses station, crying in pain and asking for pain medication.  It was six hours past the time that I should have received pain medicine. The CHARGE NURSE/SOMETIMES CALLED THE DIRECTOR IF NURSING, SAID OUT LOUD, AT THE NURSES STATION IN FRONT OF OTHER PATIENTS AND OTHER.NURSES,  The medicine comes by currier in the morning, "So if you don't like it here, sign yourself out".     I was crying and saying "YOU ADVERTISE THAT YOU ARE A SUB-ACUTE REHAB FACILITY ALSO LICENSED TO GIVE PAIN MEDICATIONS, A "PAIN MANAGEMENT FACILITY".  I AM IN SEVERE PAIN AND YOU ARE TELLING ME THAT IT WILL BE 10-12 hours until you give me something for pain".  The CHARGE NURSE/Director of Nursing said "THAT'S RIGHT, AND WE SHOULD HAVE SENT YOU BACK TO JEFFERSON UNIVERSITY BECAUSE IF THE DRAINS THAT YOU HAVE IN YOUR BACK.  YOU ARE CONSIDERED INFECTIOUS".  I said"just because I have drains, does not mean I am infectious.  I was a ER. R.N. for 20 years and I have never heard of any such thing.       To sum it up:  one toilet shared between 2 rooms and 4 patients with NO locks or vacancy signs.  Water leaking from pipes in bathroom onto toilet seat and bathroom floor.  If you have to do #2, with some privacy, you have to wait until everyone is asleep.  Go into "shower room". pull curtain and go.  Shower room is packed with all trash cans filled with patient diapers filled with feces.  By the way, if you want to shower, they sit you on a huge pvc commode with fecal stains on it.  They put a towel over it and hose you down.  No curtains.  Still in room with trash cans of feces.    In three days of being at Crestview, not one person offered me a basin to get washed.  Nobody emptied my Jaxon-Pratt drains and documented the output.  I did it myself.  From ARRIVAL and for three days, they kept sending Aids, Nurses, etc. stating that they wanted to go through all of my bags to check for weapons. I said "Absolutely Not.  You do not have my permission to unpack my personal items".  So I literally had to put luggage locks on my bags.    Jefferson Hospital asked my family to bring my Prevacid from home, because they didn't have it. So my family did And their PHARMACY held onto it.  In Crestview, the young, inexperienced, young Nurse saw the prescription through a clear bag and said. "I knew that you were taking your own MEDS.  I have to call the Director of NURSING and place you on a one to one watch. The Nurse opened my room door, my bed curtain, and had a person at the bottom of my bed to watch me as if I were in a prison.  I told them that I had a headache and wanted privacy and the lights out.  They refused.  They refused to allow me to call my family in privacy.  They refused to dim the lights and let me sleep.  I was so sick and needed someone to comfort me.      A "Nurse" who also dentified herself to me as "The Unit Clerk" told me that I had an appointment with my surgeon in Center City Philadelphia. They sent ambulance crew asked me for $381.00 CASH OR DEBIT CARD.  I told them that I did not have it.  They took me to my neurosurgeon.. Bottom line is that I went on a 2-hr ambulance ride that was not even scheduled.  Wrong doctor.wrong day. $381 cash charge to me..     Returned to Crestview. I cried all night with pain in my neck and upper back.  Crestview sent me to an appointment that was never scheduled and billed it to me.     The whole 7 days that I was at This facility, I only received 2.5 hours of therapy. Was supposed to get 3 hours of therapy/day.    On their brochure, Crestview advertised internet for patients. The 2 computers were 10-years old. We tried multiple times to get on the internet only to get the same screen NO INTERNET ACCESS. read more

If anyone had to go in for rehabilitation or Assisted Living Crestview gets the top-rating my wife was there for a broken hip to to being somewhere else they a rehabilitation and her and helped her get back to walking at home she's now home still working on her Rehabilitation but they did a wonderful job she was 77 years old and I get my heart filled appreciation to the staff and the nurses read more

My grandmother got sent here from st Mary's. They were suppose to do rehab and get her to walk again because st marys had her in bed for 2 weeks so she was unable to walk. They didnt get her out of bed until 2 days before she left. 2 and a half of weeks of being there she is now bedridden she has a bedsore and we are stuck to clean up the mess and figure out where to go to get her to be able to work. Horrible absolutely horrible. She went one time before and was all good because she was able to semi walk when she went in. Bedridden people should NEVER be taking there. read more

Neglect towards patients! if I could give this place a negative review then I would. I had my mom there for only a week and it was horrific. The staff were moody and would roll their eyes or make excuses for why they couldn't help a patient. They dropped my mom 7 times (each time left a scripted voicemail on my dads phone) yet when we asked them about these incidents they said "we only have documented 2x" as if not documenting the other 5 was somehow justified. After we complained to the staff then the treatment was worse. My mom went a whole day without someone checking on her. we finally demanded she be moved to a hospital because she had been complaining of pain and no appetite for 2 days. Once a the hospital we were told she would have died had she stayed there another day or two from septic shock. She had over 2 gallons of urine in her because they would not take her to the bathroom and she was not able to walk. This place is terrible. I feel bad for the remaining patients. We observed patients just sitting in wheel chairs in hall ways for hours. No one acknowledging them or checking on them read more

My 86 year old aunt was sent to Crestview for PT for a broken bone in her shoulder. Her right arm was in a sling. She needed help getting dressed and washed. She did say that her aides and most of the nurses were very nice, but one of her aides was rough and inadvertently hurt her shoulder trying to pull her sweatshirt on. One day a trainee aide was washing her and told her to roll over on her right side, but of course, the broken shoulder was on the right side, so my aunt had to tell her to walk around the bed and help her roll onto her left side. She still had to use her right arm. My aunt's hair had not been washed since the day before Thanksgiving when I did it. No one seemed to know how to put her sling on properly. She and I watched a YouTube video for instructions and I was able to put it on correctly, but that was just for the one day. She asked for food with no gravy and 'no gravy' was written on the paper that came with her food. It was right next to a plate that had gravy all over the food. She was given food with gravy right up to the last week she was there. Food was delivered cold more often than not. Water for tea was actually cold. One day I took her dinner back to the kitchen and requested that it be microwaved. I had to flag someone down and no one seemed to think it odd that I was in the kitchen. My aunt had to use a bedpan for the first week or so and she was helped to get on it, but she also had to use her right arm to push herself up. Then she couldn't get anyone to come back to take her off it. The same happened when she was able to use the bathroom, but needed assistance getting up. She would be left in there for ages. When she first got there, my aunt had a roommate who appeared to be on hospice and her bed was by the window. The room would get very warm, so one day my aunt asked that the air be turned on. An aide opened the windows and left them open for a good part of the day. It was damp out and had gotten very cold in the room. And the roommate was lying there helpless right next to those windows. About a week before my aunt was to be released, a woman who had dementia became her new roommate. My aunt was subjected to verbal abuse that became increasingly hostile. I was there two days before my aunt was to be released and there was no way she was staying in the room with that woman because she was scaring me with what she was saying. My aunt did go to a new room, which was upsetting and inconvenient, and it took from 2:00 (when she was moved into a hallway) until approx 5:30 ('almost dinnertime'). I heard more than once that the nurse or aide had thirty patients they had to take care of during their shift. To me, that is a staffing problem and is not an acceptable excuse for lack of care. The facility made an appt for my aunt to go for a follow up at the orthopedic dr's office, but didn't tell her until the day of the appt. She was also required to use the transport company affiliated with the facility to get to the appt. I just happened to be there that morning and said I would go to the appt with her, but I was not allowed to drive her to it. The transport company was late and we found out at the time the appt was scheduled for that they were not coming. I was then allowed to drive her. The cost of that transport btw, was $108. One day I was walking to my aunt's room and a woman in the room across the hall was bent over to the floor in her wheelchair. It was only a matter of time before gravity would have taken over. Thankfully I was able to find a nurse right away to take care of her. Physical therapy was scheduled for my aunt, but the therapist would come for her before breakfast. I probably waited too long to ask that my aunt be told what her schedule for PT was. My aunt liked the physical therapists. I would definitely steer as far clear of this place as possible. I would think what goes on is more a testament to the facility's mismanagement. Management should stay there a few days and see how they feel afterwards about the decisions they are making that effect individuals who rely on them for care. It's abhorrent. read more

My husband has a pump attached to his heart called a LVAD - left ventricle assist device. He needed specialized care and Carol Twomy the LVAD Director, was excellent. There wasn't anything she didn't know about the LVAD or the many complications my husband often has. I felt safe having him there especially after having him somewhere that said they were qualified but were not. My husband and I found the staff kind well trained and helpful. Rooms were warm and clean,the food wasn't bad either. This is not a new facility and many of the residents roll themselves around. I saw that they were treated kindly and with patience. Looking for rehab for a LVAD patient this is the place. read more

Marketed services are much different than experience. Initially welcoming and attentive it quickly turns subpar. Dietary needs are not truly monitored. Our family member (in her 60s) was sent to the ER twice for high sugars in a 2 week period due to poor dietary control there and also found a UTI. Despite being on rehab, she was not provided a wheelchair for a week and a half, was left in bed, received minimal therapy, and subsequently developed a pressure ulcer that we had been told was just irritation due to urinary incontinence. Unless people get up independently, they are diapered. The hospital would not release our family member back to the facility, if that is an indicator. Administrator is absent and does not respond to calls for assistance. When we went to get her belongings, staff would not speak to family and left belongings on the curb while family member went to get the car. Best advice is to CHOOSE ANOTHER PLACE unless you can be there EVERY DAY or your family member can advocate strongly. If you are there for rehab, time it to make sure you are getting what you are entitled to, and have an advocate. Unfortunately, the facility looks nice and is clean, but the care is not there on the back end and individuals decline. We had very high hopes but experienced neglect and witnessed undignified treatment of some residents. read more
