Full transparency here - I am a bit standoffish when it comes to chiropractors and adjustments. Yes, I've been in the past (many times), but never felt the adjustments and treatments helped long term... at most for about a week or so. However, my body has been put through some STUFF (car accidents and snowboarding fails that ended in hospital visits just to name a few), and because of all of the trauma, my poor neck has felt it the most long term. I was leaving Pilates the other day and a rep for Crew Chiropractic was there with a little table and was offering a great promo and I decided to just go for it! I had a fantastic experience from the moment I first met Dr. Sesma at the Pilates studio. Renee, office manager, is one of the kindest souls I've ever met (and I only met her twice), but she just has that welcoming warmth about her that every office needs! Dr. Sesma really took his time to go over everything with me from start to finish, and I never once felt pressured into signing up for a care plan. The whole team makes sure that you're 100% comfortable and they truly believe in the saying "knowledge is power." That's what I loved most about my experience at Crew. The team truly just wants to give you the proper care and share all of the medical ideologies behind it - in detail, so that you leave having at least that and some x rays. I was in two major car accidents in 2015 and 2016 and although I walked away with minor injuries I developed a lot of discomfort around my neck and shoulders. Since beginning care at Corrective Chiropractic, I've noticed improvements in my posture, less heaviness in my neck and shoulders (like ALOT less), less restriction in exercise movements, a significant decrease shoulder pain, and overall just a better feeling of well-being! I was referred to Dr. Eric Bayliss aka Dr. B by a good friend and I do not regret that decision. What I appreciate about Dr. B is the way he explains everything before he proceeds and I have defiantly noticed a difference in the way my body functions. I also appreciate that he is able to adjust more than just my neck and spine. I had a pain in my wrist after an assessment he was able to make adjustments and help relieve the pain. I have been dealing with Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ) for a long time, spent $4,000 for a TMJ specialist that didn't make a difference. I just asked DR. B if that was something he could do and sure enough he was able to adjust my jaw. I know I'll probably have to get the adjustment a few times but that 1 time was much more effective than the year I have spent going to the specialist, not to mention more cost effective. I was surprised in the best ways! I have had recent MRIs and knew of degenerations in my cervical spine and was told that surgery was going to be necessary but was also told that it may or may not help. I am active and enjoy working out so I am not willing to risk being out of commission for months on end for something that may not work at all. Crew was recommended by friends so I thought I would give them a try. This is not what I was expecting and I am so happy of that! This wasn't a quick adjustment and be gone. This wasn't a guess at what was causing pain. This was finding out what was out of place and not only how it could be corrected but also IF it could be. Conversations were had, x-rays and posture photos were taken, thermal scans were done to find out what was causing the problem. Complete discussions about the test results and what could be done to first fix the damage and then what the plan would be to maintain the corrections going forward. THIS WAS A PLAN! It's been one month, and the difference is amazing not only in the pictures of how my posture has improved greatly but also how it has improved my workouts and overall wellbeing. Slowly but steadily changes are happening for the better. The office is friendly, professional, clean, and relaxing. Questions are always answered should they arise.
