I asked her what the status of my iPad is... she said they opened it but it wil be another 45 mins. I asked her why? I guess she didn't like my tone. She got really defensive and said she has other materials she is working on and that it will be another 45 minutes. She proceeded to say that other places wil make you wait longer. Heifer Idgaf about other places and no they don't make you wait this longer... this is literally the longest I've waited. No apologies, no accountability, give me the parts from China and I'll do it myself at a fraction of the price. I came in here out of convenience which turned out to be a total waste of time. Brief update: the owner or the manager saw my review and said that my business is no longer welcome. For future reviewers... leave a review after they complete the service.

He gave me a pamphlet with a number to call for ATT tech support - cause I pay for that in my plan - but he gave me the wrong dept, so I found out. I did call, and spoke with 2 different techs who went through the whole process, but couldn't resolve the issue! I remembered then that in the past, I'd gone to the ATT store at Harbor Point, by 53rd St and the people there had been exceptional. I went Saturday morning hoping and praying I could find help, and I did. A young woman named Shakani was so good at her job - knowledgeable AND courteous. Turns out my issue was a ridiculously easy fix! I almost started crying. Almost a week of frustration, 3 different people, and Shakani was able to fix it easily. I asked her WHY none of the others were able to do what she did, and she just smiled; never badmouthed the others, but only said: They could have. This woman has knowledge AND compassion - and obviously loves her job! I recommend EVERYONE go to that store; I bet the other techs there are as good as she is, too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Here is why: Hurricane Milton knocked our power offline for several days. When power was restored an electrical surge ran through my 2022 M1 Max MacStudio, blowing out all my USB and Thunderbolt ports. I took it to Autobahn Communications for diagnosis and repair. They told me "it could not be repaired and if it could, it would cost more than a new unit". They also claimed the unit "looks like it experienced water damaged and was corroded beyond repair." The alleged corrosion claim voided my homeowners content insurance claim. I wasn't convinced. I learned about DosLab Electronics (https://doslabelectronics.com) watching their YouTube channel. For those who do no know, YouTube features a good number of technicians repairing and upgrading computer devices of all kinds, right before your eyes. What I witnessed, in real-time, was impressive. After opening a ticket on their website, I received a message back confirming they should be able to repair and quoted a very reasonable price. I was invited to send the Mac Studio along with a "dead" MacBook Pro to them.(Autobahn said that one couldn't be repaired either) The communication at DosLab Electronics was professional and responsive. Despite the Holiday season, I was notified within a reasonable time both units had been successfully repaired and they sent them back. Their estimate for repair was more than reasonable, considering these devices were supposed to be dead or unrecoverable. Since receiving these two machines, I have been using both for about 2 weeks and I could not be more appreciative. They literally brought these two devices back from the dead. Autobahn charged an upfront "diagnostic fee" of $65 for each of these devices. The fee isn't unreasonable through does emphasis the value I received from DosLabs. The MacBook Pro had been "dead" for over a year and works wonderfully again! Thank you DosLabs!!
