This is more like an AirBnB than a hotel, so you need to coordinate a meeting time to get your keys. I recommend having a mobile phone that operates in the UK. Elsa was very patient and accommodating when we were running late. This place is superbly located a short 5 minute walk to the city core, but there is still free parking with a city parking permit provided by your hosts. You display it in the dash of your car. Parked right in front a couple of times. This convenient, free parking is one of the best aspects of staying here. Our apartment was a 2 bedroom, 1 bath on the third (or so) floor. No lift. Plenty of space and privacy. The apartment seemed recently refurbished and very clean. The bathroom was especially nice and updated, and we appreciated the heated floors in the cool morning! There was a kitchenette with a refrigerator and microwave (?) definitely a kettle and basic supplies. You can stock up on groceries at Sainsbury's, which is about a 10 minute walk away. Be sure to try some of the best fish and chips in the UK at the Scallop Shell!

We were welcomed by Jill and Gareth and shown around the cottage, being one of a pair of Foresters Cottages built around the turn of last century (and photos of the original build are on the wall). The cottage has been extended to the side with a fantastically specified and finished build. The Eco credentials of the whole cottage are exemplary, including solar electricity and hot water. Our week was idyllic; the cottage is so comfortable and designed to be accessible for those with reduced mobility. The fully glazed doors that overlook the garden give ample opportunity to sit and watch the birds in the large garden. In our week we saw Nuthatches, Dunnocks and Woodpeckers in addition to the more common Sparrows, Blackbirds and Blue Tits. I can heartily recommend this cottage as a place to stay to see the Forest of Dean; the Forest is an amazing place to visit, and to come back to this cottage every evening was just the icing on the cake.

It is far better than I ever expected. It is located in the village of Hazelton which is not far from all the beautiful villages in the Cotswold and whilst this village is very small and does not have a pub most of that is only a short distance away. The house itself is beautiful fully renovated and has a very well stocked kitchen and all pots and pans are of good quality. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms in total so plenty of space for people to share. The beds are really good and the linen is of excellent quality. They have also provided excellent large towels and nice organic soap in the bathrooms. The outdoor area is also quite big and spacious and there is ample parking for 3-5 cars. All in all a really nice place and I would happily return here anytime to explore the Cotswold area. The view from the house is spectacular and it is located in a really quite village.

Second, the location and views are great. You can walk to so many good shops and restaurants, but the hotel itself is on a quiet street that has a neighborhood feel. Third, the attention to detail is immaculate. Radio set of perfect music when you arrive? Check. Antique brass keys? Check. Luggage handlers who are so polite you feel like you're a member of royalty? Check. A helpful sightseeing guide for fans of Bridgerton? Check. I really cannot emphasize enough how amazing the hotel and staff were. I arrived sweaty and covered in literal mud from a cross country hike feeling incredibly out of place in such a gorgeous hotel and the staff made me feel like I was arriving at my own home. The staff is absolutely wonderful, the bed and linens are extremely comfortable, the room is spacious and the amenities are very nice. The location is great and the rooms are extremely quiet. I used the laundry service since I was a week or so into my trip. They did an incredible job, they even got an old stain out of my jeans that I never expected to come out! I can't say enough great things about this hotel! I can not wait to return!

Came here to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday and wanted something quaint and cottagey. Stayed at the mill at Owlpen Manor for four days and three nights at the beginning of September 2016. The place easily sleeps 9 and has plenty of towels and bedding. The kitchen was a little sparse in terms of equipment and the table only had enough spaces for 6, so keep that in mind if you're planning a big family trip here. The location was quiet and private. Not overlooked and a five minute drive from the little village of Uley. A little on the expensive side just for three of us but would definitely be worth it if there had been more of us.

We walked all over town including a sheep pasture which was nearby. We also were able to drive to the Cotswolds Lavender Farm nearby--absolutely beautiful. We would definitely stay here again. It was comfortable and everything ready when we arrived.
