Cheesy, but my New Year Intention will be to revisit the yarn shop without the pressure of "this project needs this specific yarn!" hanging over my head. (For those of you seeing my other craft shop review, please know it was a difficult weekend!) This spot is super cute and STACKED with great yarns. Even in the midst of renovation you can see all the awesome fiber-y goodness that this store holds. I learned a TON about new brands to me, the local yarn scene and how the Ishpeming area is coming back (I do love economic recovery!) The owner, Saralise, was super attentive, knowledgeable and ENERGETIC! If you come to the store, be ready to get motivated by her enthusiasm! Had an excellent time on my birthday seeing the shrine . Spent some time talking to the nice lady…read moreat the bookstore . A priest happened be on the property and we had our stuff blessed , he even blessed our dog . The folks we talked to up there were warm and VERY friendly . We learned a lot . The grounds are well kept and beautiful. Very peaceful . I've been to many shrines across America and this one touched my heart . God Bless Bishop Baraga and pray for his canonization . He helped so many in his community and was a wonderful Godly man . I'd also recommend the gift shop . Doesn't look like much but trust me you will be happy you popped in .
